After I arrived, Cynthia spoke, saying that we needn't worry if we were in the right place. I gave a sigh of relief. So it was only upon a stroke of luck that I wasn't very late AND had ended up in the right place! Go me! Cynthia continued speaking, and apparently, our debate topic was Potions vs. Charms. I hoped that I was on Charms, that was my favorite subject apart from Care of Magical Creatures. When Cynthia said that Bailey and I were doing Charms, I felt like doing a cartwheel. Yes! I'd love to argue on behalf of my favorite subject, it would be an honor. Cynthia explained the rules of the debate system and everybody's roles. I listened carefully. When she said that Bailey and I hadn't introduced ourselves, I said, "Oh! Right. Well, I'm Aurora Griffith, or Ro, as most people call me, and I can't wait to get started!" After I introduced myself, a boy who I was sure was an older student entered the Small Hall. He introduced himself as Damion White, and he was going to be one of the judges. That's when one of the girls, I think her name was Karrie because Cynthia had addressed her as so and she was the only person's name I didn't know, asked if that was all Cynthia had to say. After Cynthia confirmed that she had covered everything, the formality disappeared, and we prepared to do some icebreaking. I took that as my cue to grab an Every Flavor Bean. Cranberry...upon Cynthia asking about our favorite classes, I said, "Oh! I like Charms, it's one of my favorites, even though my true favorite is Care of Magical Creatures. That's why I'm really excited about being on the side of Charms for this debate!" After I spoke, somebody else arrived, a fellow Hufflepuff who I recognized as Kayla. "Hi, Kayla!" I chirped. Now we were all here. Cynthia reviewed each person's role and asked Kayla to introduce herself. I sat down and took a chocolate frog. I couldn't wait for the debate to begin!

Bailey was in the right place, much to her relief. She almost sighed, and internally she though thank goodness that would have been embarrassing if I was in the wrong roomShe smiled when Aurora entered the room. She waved, smiling wider when Cynthia told them more about the debates that they were going to be having.
Bailey smiled when Cynthia asked her to introduce herself.
Bailey started introducing herself, and then Damion walked in. He introduced himself, and then bailey just started over and fully introduced herself again. “Hey! My name is Bailey-Bailey Glade, third year Ravenclaw! It’s great to meet all of you, if I haven’t met you before. If I have, it’s awesome to see you again!!” Bailey smiled, grinning at everyone. She loved making new friends, and getting to meet new people.
Bailey started to tell them more about herself after Cynthia asked them what their favorite classes were.
“My favorite class has to be History of Magic- typical Ravenclaw, I love reading and history. I’ve loved history ever since I was a kid- both magical and muggle history I find it so interesting!”
Cynthia was explaining more, and then Kayla entered. She smiled when Kay smiled at her, it was good to see another person she knew.
