As soon as I spoke, I kind of regretted it. Just a little bit of me, almost like an insecurity. Honestly, I had no clue what I was talking about, I kind of just made it up, based on some of the facts I already knew. Hopefully Simon isn't concerned that I don't know what I'm talking about, I thought. But whatever. I couldn't take back my words, or make him forget what I had just said. Simon was much older and most likely more mature than me, so it kind of made sense.

A moment of silence passed while we both thought. It was an awkward sort of silence, and I wanted to break it pretty badly, but I didn't really know what I should say to him. Then, Simon spoke up. He talked about how it was hard for him to discuss this, especially in public, so he thought that we should pause the conversation. If someone had asked me about this and I wasn't in the right mood, I would definitely be as uncomfortable as he was right now. He also mentioned me reading some of my bible and then discussing it, which at the time seemed reasonable and like a very good idea, but in the long run I would never get around to doing it.

"Yes yes. That would be good. It was nice meeting you, Simon. See you later," I said as did a tiny little awkward wave. Then I grabbed my books and left.
