Paracelsus vs. Bailey- No wait, Lucy
The boy in front of her actually looked miserable. He mumbled a reply as he shook her hand, and Lucy offered a small smile in return. He wanted to push me off the stage? I could have gotten hurt! she thought, before mentally laughing at herself. Well, duh. It's a duel. Why are you still here, anyway? This last thought was reinforced as the Hufflepuff prefect came over to check on him. It looked like everything was covered on this end. She started backing away from the conversation, not really focusing on the exchange until the boy let out a terrified shout about kissing Serena or something like that. Lucy's brow furrowed in confusion; Seren'a face looked equally confused. As she left to go start the next duel, Lucy shrugged. She probably had hit him harder with her spell than she thought, so he was probably confused. Wow! To have that sort of power... it was astounding.
As she walked across the room to the far door, she was practically skipping with exhilaration. She had won her first duel! While she was in a bit of pain from getting flipped onto her back, the adrenaline far outweighed that drawback. "I didn't even know I was duelling today, and I won," she crowed softly to herself, extremely pleased with her performance. Just think of the damage she could do if she had time to mentally prepare herself! Her steps faltered a bit, wondering if this thought was too dark. She shrugged. In a duel, you wanted to be the winner. She definitely didn't want to be like that kid she had duelled, anyway. This duel had boosted her confidence in her magical abilities, and she would enter the next duel with the assurance that she could hold her own.

Lucy exits.
