A brownie on a hot day
Once Emma had paid, the pair started to walk to the entrance of the shop, and Zoe replied to Emma's question from before, "I'd love to check out the Quidditch shop. I've been there once but I didn't get to see a lot of it, I was in a bit of a hurry."
Zoe walked past a few shops, like Potage's Cauldron Shop, and Dogweed & Deathcap until she reached the Quidditch shop. It had a large sign reading 'Quality Quidditch Supplies', and was showcasing a broom called the Starsweeper XXI. Zoe remembered it being a famous broom, but deadly expensive. She was proven right, when she noticed in small black letters, price: 190 galleons.
"Good lord! Who has that kind of money?" Zoe exclaimed, pointing at the broom. She realized she said it a bit too loud, and had turned a few heads, and she felt her cheeks blush bright red. Hiding her face with her hair, she asked Emma quietly, "Let's go in?" Waiting for her reply, she looked around, glad to see people weren't focused on her anymore. A lot of people were holding their pets, and Zoe felt a pang of jealousy. She had always wanted a pet, but back home, her family didn't have one, and here, she didn't have that type of money.
Trying to get rid of the scowl on her face, Zoe looked at Emma again.

A brownie on a hot day
When we got to the Quidditch shop, I saw Zoe's eyes land on a broom that was showcased in the front window. It was a Starsweeper XXI, to no surprise, it was 190 Galleons. You'd have to be rich to buy that thing. Even though I do have that kind of money to buy the broom, it's not like I'm going to waste it on some weeny new broom, that can go super fast, can probably win Broom Races, and Quidditch games, I'd be unstoppable-
My thoughts are interrupted when I hear Zoe ask me if I wanted to go in, "Oh yeah, let's go." When we walk in, I'm amazed by all the different brooms on display around us, I see the older ones such as Cleansweeps, and Comets, then I see the Firebolt, it's supposed to be one of the best brooms on the market. That's when my eyes land on an old antique broom. The 'Oakshaft 79'. I run towards it, making sure I don't bump into anyone, "MERLINS BEARD! THIS IS IT!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Usually I'd care if people heard me, and then I'd get embarrassed and run out of the shop or something, but right now I don't care, because I have just seen the best broom in my life. "The Oakshaft 79," I start, I don't know if anyone's listening to me, but I don't really care, "is an antique broom that was created in 1879, and was used during the first Atlantic crossing back in 1939." I didn't know where Zoe was, but it was probably because I didn't even look around, since my eyes were fixated on the broom. I don't know how long I was admiring the broom for, but it seemed like a long time. So I chose to go look at some other things, I said a quick "bye" to the broom, then looked around for Zoe.

A brownie on a hot day
Laughing at Emma's extremely excited demeanor, Zoe walked around the shop, looking at the super cool brooms. She didn't realize all the quidditch supplies they offered to sell, like broom compasses, and something called a pine chopper. There were a few staff members around, and Zoe asked about the specs of a few brooms, and how they worked.
After going around the shop, Zoe made it back to the front, where Emma seemed to have finished fan-girling and was be looking for her. "What do you think of the store? I thought it was pretty cool, but I'm definitely not going to be able to buy anything here anytime soon, haha. The price is..." Zoe's voice went down to a whisper, "crazy."
Awaiting Emma's reply, she looked down at to her hand, where a white watch was wrapped around her wrist, and Zoe's eyes widened with shock. It was nearly 5pm! She had to go very soon. "Oh, cra-" Zoe cursed, but stopped herself. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize how late it got, I need to go." Apologizing profusely, Zoe leant in for a quick hug, because she decided they were close enough for it not to be weird. "This was really fun, I hope we can hang out together sometime!"

A brownie on a hot day
When I finally found Zoe, she said she had to leave. I slightly frowned, and my excitement turned to disappointment. I only just realized I've had more fun with Zoe for the past hour, than I have since I even got to Hogwarts. I fake a smile when she hugs me and says bye, as she walks out of the shop, I give her small wave, even though I know she can't see me, then heave sigh. I choose that there's no point looking at any other shops since I'll just be all alone, and it is getting late, and dinner in the Great Hall will be ready soon. Well, it was fun while it lasted, I think to myself. I walk out of the shop, and along the pathway, ready to go back to Hogwarts on the train.
I remember that I will see her at the feast probably, but I do wish that our time together was just a bit longer. That's when I realize that she hugged me. That means she probably thinks we're pretty close, we haven't known each other for to long, but it's nice to think that she's comfortable to hug me. I walk towards the exit of Diagon Alley, I'll definitely be coming back here sometime soon, and hopefully that might be with Zoe again, or another new friend I make. I smile at the place, then turn to walk to the station.
