"You don't have friends either?" November's head cocked, a dismayed expression settling over his face. "I don't see why, you're really very nice..." Maybe she was like him. When one was like him, it didn't matter how nice one was. They were doomed from the start. It would explain why she hadn't run from him right from the get go, certainly. It was so strange to him, to be approached by fresh, friendly faces like this. He wondered if it was just because he blended better on the surface, here. He wondered when it would stop.
He clutched his basket closer to him at the thought, noting her curious gaze. Some of the things hidden within would certainly expedite the process of scaring all those friendly faces away... A tiny, soft sigh.
"Transfiguration? Oh, that would be lovely, really... It's a bit tricky." He beamed at her offer, fidgeted, shy. "Potions are nothing, really, just cooking with stranger ingredients, but turning things into other things, well, that's really impressive." He chuckled, smiled a shy, nervous little smile. "Maybe we could all help each other out," he mused, "and then nobody has to get bad marks..." It was certainly a nice thought, if a bit idealistic.

"Well the first few friendsI had hate me. At dinner one night I accidentally casted diffindo on one of them and now they think I'm a monster." She said. Then she muttered quietly under her breath, if they only knew my family history and what I know then they could say I'm a monster. Nobody needed to know about that. Or the strange nightmares she is getting. She just wishes there was a cure for those. But know they happen every night and some nights she doesn't get any sleep. Her eyes have dark spots under them, but they aren't that easy to spot. Also she was hiding her exhausted expression, but it could be seen if she let her guard down.
"I love turning things into other things. It's really fun to me. I also like astronomy. Stars are interesting. But thank you again for offering to brew potions with me. It would be a big help." She said smiling. Astronomy was also one of her favorite things. The beautiful stars and learning about the constilations. And she also was glad he offered to help her in potions. He seemed like he liked it very much and was probably good at it.

"Hate you? Why on earth would they hate you? You're perfectly darling-...." November stared, eyes wide, and very nearly dropped his laden, flowering basket in shock. Eri seemed like a perfectly ordinary, sweet girl, the likes of which he had to hide himself from at the start, thinking surely she'd catch the waft of Dark on him and run, and now it turned out she was in the very same boat as him.
He shook his head, adamant. "Well, I don't think you're a monster, not at all!" And even if she was, well, what better friend to have than another one? Maybe if the rest of the world didn't want them, they could simply, want each other. Forge bonds in the shadows.
"Astronomy? Oh, yes, it's lovely," he smiled, looked up at the sky, its myriad stars that hung there under the blue veil of the sky, "I find the homework and lessons a bit difficult, there's quite a lot of confusing terms to figure out. But I like the stars, the planets... Sometimes I like to think about whether there's anyone living under them the way we do the sun, what life there is like..." If it's better than here.

"Yes they hate me. I accidentally casted diffindo on a student. And If they knew some of the stuff my family has done they would run away from me. But let's not talk about it. I intend on having some friends." She says to him. She wasn't clear at what her family did and she didn't say that she had an interest in something that shouldn't be read about. So hopefully she didn't scare him away. She needed some friends.
"I'm not a monster? Well, thanks for saying that. I just have an interest in somethings that aren't good for a kid my age." Why hadn't he already left? Maybe he wasn't scared? Or he was like her? She doesn't know. But hopefully he wouldn't run away.
"Yeah some of the terms are very difficult to understand. But the homework is a little hard but mainly easy for me. I love the stars especially the constilations. One of my favorites is Leo the Lion." She said smiling a little bit. She really did love the constilations. They were beautiful and there were a lot of them and you could almost always see them in the sky when you looked at night.

"A-alright," November murmured as Eri let slip a bit of what lay beneath the surface, though the gaze he fixed her with was one of friendly curiosity, almost excitement, rather than wariness. If anything, she had the opposite effect of scaring him away, as he allowed himself to hope that she might know what it was to be drawn to the Dark. It was only these dark-touched souls he felt he could truly be himself around, could ignore the nagging voices in his mind that the minute that friendly face knew the real him, they would run.
"Well, you know, I also rather like a lot of things I'm not supposed to," November admitted at last, his gaze downcast with nervousness, but a small smile playing at his lips, inviting, curious. "It seems to me, all of the very best things are always locked away from us under some form or another of 'not supposed to." Here was a dangerous game: Things young children were not supposed to do could be as innocent as sneaking into the kitchen for a cookie while not being supervised, or it could be, well, something like what he did. He'd be careful to let Eri take the lead, only confess to the things she herself spoke of.
"Oh, yes, Leo is lovely in the sky at night..." He sighed. "I quite like Draco myself, I've always been terribly fond of dragons, and I like the idea of one in the sky, watching over us."

Eri sighed relief he didn't seem terrified of her. "My Aunt was an Auror. She had books in her private library. It was hidden behind a secret passage way. I like to read about death eaters and all of those things. I would never do some of the stuff in the books, but it's interesting. Also some of my family followed you know who and were pretty violent." She didn't know why she was sharing her secret. But she was for some reason he seemed trust worthy. That wasn't the full secret, but that was some of it and hopefully it wouldn't scare him away."All the interesting things are always what you aren't supposed to do." She said.
"Well Draco is cool too. I just like seeing the stars in the sky. They glitter like jewels that can never come to earth, but they are so beautiful that I wish that I could see them all day, but I guess I can with pictures, but that is not the same." She said sighing the stars were one of her favorite things. That is why she loved astronomy so much. But she wasn't the best student at it but she loved it.

"Death eaters... Those are the dark wizards, yes?" He was so new to this world, it was difficult to keep on top of all these new terms and nomenclature being thrown at him. He supposed it heartened him some to know that Eri liked to read about dark wizards, but, reading was one thing. Doing was another thing entirely.
Sometimes people didn't like things so much once they'd come off the page.
"I think it's, so very exciting, to read about all manner of dark things," he said with a small smile, "I always liked it better than the simple tales of golden heroes who always do the right things. I want to know more about the villain." His eyes shone as he spoke, their dark surfaces suddenly alive with desire and delight.
"Stars are beautiful," he sighed, "I like to look up there and think about all the other worlds that must circle around those stars. There could be infinite!" He was beaming. "I wonder how many of them have people on them, just like you and I. I wonder what their lives are like..." He wondered if it was better than here. If he would be free to be what he was, do what he did, on the surface of another planet.

Eri Windstone frowned and looked at him. "Yes they are the bad ones." She looked into the basket he was holding "Are some of those herbs medical? Some look like it?" She asked curiously. Because she liked to read about medical herbs. And her Aunt taught her some medical herbs to use for different types of illnesses.
Eri looked at him. She could see he enjoyed what they were speaking about. "I could never practice what I read in those books I would get in serious trouble. But I do like to think I could be a could doctor one day. My Aunt taught me all sorts of herbs and remedies that replace going to the hospitals. But I can't really do them on others they are a bit to harsh." She knows how to give herself stitches, use a scalpel and other things. But she wouldn't be good enough to be classified as a doctor. No she was more like a self healer.
She nodded. What if there was other planets with people on them. Would they live the same way as they do? That was the question, but who knows. If magic was possible than maybe people on other planets was possible.
