A Water Break PV Finnegan Conner Finished

It would seemed whether or not Finn was going for fair play here he at least could respect Alec's decision to surrender and stop the tickle torture. Alec swore it was worse than any real torture methods! The teen took a minute to catch his breath, tuckered out by the laughter and needing intake a lot more air. There of course was a problem, when Alec had finally been able to catch his breath, the laughter started on cue again as Finn spoke about the fact of Alec now owing him a favor, and him being able to call it in. He mentioned it would be useful if he ever got himself into trouble and Alec laughed again.

When Alec's continued laughter had ended(sounding like he was relieved of the tickling charm), he took a few deep breaths, followed by the shaking of his head. “You wouldn't need a favor bruv, say the word and I'm there. As long as it's not azkaban-worthy I've got your back.” He wouldn't. Alec had grown an immediate liking to him, sometimes loyalty with people was an instant win, for others it took years. Finnegan didn't seem like the type to go off the deep end and have a mental break to do something azkaban-worthy, and was assured in the fact he'd be fine with this promise.

Smell of food wafted towards the pair and Finn mentioned his hunger. Alec hummed in agreement, they'd been out swimming out working off energy for a while now, with the football games as well. He could most definitely go for a bite to eat. “Food sounds like an amazing idea,” maybe now Finn would move so they could go get something to eat.

Finnegan would boop Alec's nose, treating him as if he were some adorable pet, and Alec stared at Finn, clearly not amused by his antics. He would huff, followed by a playful quip, “the next time you boop me like a cat, I'm going to bite your finger Finn.” Perhaps this threat was what caused the next event to happen. As it turned out, their swimming would not be done. Finnegan knew somewhere in that very smart soon-to-be first-year brain of his that Alec would totally push him off given the chance.

Making the intelligent move, Finnegan brought Alec off the blank with him and they would slowly fall to their doom into the water. Finn becoming a shark again once they'd resurfaced.

Once they had gather their belongings from the ship, they were heading out. Alec ignored the fact he could use a spell and simply used the summer heat to air-dry as they walked back towards camp. Finnegan's first mention on what sports Alec played. Noting how it took a bit for him to tire. Alec didn't think it could possibly be blamed on any sports. “Oh. Sports? I don't play any. Not consistently.” He answered, there was a casual game here and there though it wasn't as if Hogwarts had a football league or any other active sport Alec could participate in.

“There's nothing active that doesn't require a broom and I'm not a fan of them.” The teen shrugged. He was not. He almost failed flying class over the fact he refused to ride those suckers. He absolutely despised them. Alec could not do it. “I do a run a least twice a day. Maybe it helps with it?” Maybe? Or maybe not? It probably wasn't the reason. Alec was the type of kid the professors had trouble getting to stay in their seat, often he had so much energy he didn't know what to do with it. Alec laughed, “haha I'm not sure, I'm usually just full of energy. You should go on a run with me sometime, it's fun!”

Finnegan had mentioned playing football though. He looked like he had practice. “I brought up you doing well at football, do you play for a team?” It wouldn't be any Alec knew of, they would have to be muggle, Alec had no clue any names of any muggle sports teams. It was like there were wizarding football sports teams though.

Once they got close enough they boys were hungry and would get food. Alec grabbing food as if he had never eaten a day in his life. Now resting by a campfire with Finn, Alec was chowing down on some food. “Okay so Finn, important question. Would you rather have to fight off the fluffiest pygmy, the shark, or have to fight off a dementor? Do you know what a dementor is?” Alec wasn't sure if Finn knew. It was probably an integral piece to the would you rather.

"You don't like brooms?" Finnegan sounded amazed. There was nothing more exciting to him than the ability to fly and he just couldn't wait to get his first flying lessons. He could turn out to be the worst wizard in the history of wizardkind and he wouldn't care so long as he got to fly. For a second he thought Alec had to be joking. "That's like saying you don't like chocolate," he added incredulously.

By the time they'd made it back into the camp he'd promised he'd run with Alec sometime though he made a point of not wanting to race him. Given that Alec had longer legs it would be an unfair race no matter what. Finnegan tried to explain a bit about the local team he had played football for but soon gave up. Even if Alec had been a muggle-born he wouldn't have known or cared to know about the Butetown Boys club and Finnegan couldn't blame him, the club had no trophies or other accomplishments to speak of.

At last they made it to a firepit and loaded up on pork sausages, lamb chops, brisket and unhealthy amount of garlic sauce. Finnegan didn't think he'd ever eaten something so delicious in his life. All the bits of meat were juicy, their drinks ice-cold, and the buttered bits of baguette just the right mixture of fluffy and crisp. He was just working his way through a chicken wing when Alec asked the important question.

"Nwo idwea," he answered with his mouth half full. It had gotten crowded around the firepit and he had had to scoot closer to Alec twice already to make place for other camp-goers on the overturned log that served as a makeshift bench. "I don't want to fight anyone right now," he yawned after he'd swallowed down his last bit of chicken. He looked up at Alec with heavy-lidded eyes, stretched out and yawned again. It was amazing how Alec didn't seem even half as tired. "Tell me some other time, I'm going to sleep for ten million years."

Leaning heavily on Alec's shoulder, Finnegan pushed himself up, gave Alec a parting tickle in his side, then dragged himself away from the comfort of the fire and back toward his tent. Today had been a good day.
