Memories like voices that call on the wind  Hunter Argentum   Finished
She could see the torn Hunter was torn over her predicament, but as she reached into his satchel, elation welled up inside of her. She would be able to forget this whole nightmare and oncoming fear of entrapment. She could feel her pulse becoming quicker at just the thought of being trapped underground.

She smiled slightly as he handed her the vial. This one looked different to the other one, but he had assured her this one was stronger than the other one. Since he seemed to be such an expert, she believed him. He seemed sincere and sympathetic, although slightly odd. But really, wasn't this whole encounter? Tucked in the shelving of the apothecary, taking a strange potion from a boy she had never met who claimed to be in her house at school. Yes. The whole scenario was strange. So, really, Hunter's behaviour wasn't the worst thing. She raised her eyebrows at the stopwatch, but again, just shrugged it off. The quick exit kind of astonished her, and she didn't even have time to thank him as he rushed out the door, satchel and nothing else in hand. Bea supposed she'd be able to at school, especially since they were house mates.

Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, opened the stopper and swallowed the potion in one gulp. One. Two. Three. How long did the potion take to have an effect? She scrunched her face. Trying with absolute success to recall Thanatos' death and the horrible, horrible nightmare of being trapped underground. Instant panic filled her chest, tightening her lungs until she couldn't breathe.

Crouching to the floor, she heaved a sob, the vial slipping from her fingers and crashing against the floor. And that was how her Ma found her, silently sobbing on the floor of the apothecary shop. Silent and panic filled. She wouldn't breathe this to Ma or the family, but come the start of term, she would get Hunter for this. She would.
