Ellie started to feel bad. She was really enjoying Cece’s company and the conversation, but she already had plans to meet up with her brother at the ice cream shop after all their shopping was done.

“I actually have plans to meet my brother there later. I’m really sorry.”

She felt torn, but knew that she really needed to get the rest of her shopping done for her school supplies. According to their mom, this was probably going to be the only trip to Diagon Alley before the school year started. Ellie started thinking of all the places she needed to go and felt like she had no time left to get to everything. Which was absolutely not true. She was just always over-prepared and wanted to stick to the schedule that she had planned out in her head earlier.

The reality of it was that her brother is most likely behind schedule, consumed by things he doesn’t even need in Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.

“I also really want to get through the rest of my school shopping. My mom said that this will probably be the only trip we can make here before the school year since we will be attending the summer camp. It was really nice meeting you and I look forward to sending owls.”

Ellie gave off a big smile, and hoped that Cece wasn’t too upset that she couldn’t join her for ice cream.
