ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | One thing was for sure. This summer was bound to be interesting and would create many memories for him to reflect on in later years. It was the first time he'd be on the summer planning committee and setting up summer events. Hopefully, it would all go well, but as Kim was a perfectionist he was worrying about it before it had even started. Even though he'd be going home for a time and even had plans with various people this summer, he'd be going to the London Quidditch Stadium earlier than most of the students. Only the teachers, staff and other members of the planning committee would be waiting for him there. The others wouldn't come until summer camp had officially started a few days later. Kim was dressed in a sleeveless white shirt with some palm tree designs and dark pants. He'd chosen this attire instead of his Gryffindor robes because well the robes were way too hot to wear. The boy's pride bracelet, double pearl bracelets, a few rings, a silver-encrusted necklace and a lone dangle earring were his accessories. And today marked the start of a new month and that meant a new hair color, Kim was sporting a bright red tone this time. Puffie was sitting on top of his right shoulder and looking around with great curiosity as he rode happily on the boy. He'd boarded the train a little after 10AM, to avoid the crowds. There was nothing like avoiding the crowds. If you were a tad late, most of them would have boarded already. It was a great way to ensure not running into a lot of people and Kim wasn't exactly the type of boy who like being social all the time. Yes, it was ironic that people were always drawn to him. One could also almost always find him within a large group. But it wasn't because Kim liked being around people, it was more like people liked being around him. He'd consumed an allergy potion before heading to the train, just in case he ran into some felines. You never knew. This time he was being more careful. Kim knew he was expected to reunite with the Golden Trio soon. What was that? It was what Sophia tended to call him, Sage and herself when they were together. But at the same time, he kind of wanted to relax away from them for awhile. Perhaps get a compartment all to himself for a short time. Or join another one that only had one or two people inside. He was tired from the recent exams and planning for the summer. And also didn't want to know what was going to happen back at home this year. Lately, they'd been acting strangely. They'd been trying to get him and Regina to spend more time together for some strange reason. Not that the redhead minded Gia, as she was his childhood friend. A slightly older Gryffindor who had a regal appearance and attitude. She'd been making a name for herself too. Kim couldn't help but smile thinking about Regina. He'd spent the past hour with Lucia and a boy called Leonard. And then had excused himself from their compartment to go seek out the Golden Trio. After all, Kim had a feeling they would try and find him if he didn't come to them. And he did want to see them. So, after saying farewells to the two, the redhead went on a search for the Golden Trio's compartment. Eventually, he found it and came across a crowded scene. There were so many people there! A faint twitch, almost unnoticeable, appeared on his face briefly. Even though he knew these people, he still didn't feel comfortable in an enclosed space with all of them. With just Sophia, it wasn't too bad, although it had taken awhile for him to feel this way. But with everyone... that was a different story entirely for him. It wasn't that he didn't feel comfortable with them. But he didn't feel comfortable with them. In other words, it was his 'condition' that kept him from enjoying the type of things other people took for granted. Irish seemed more in control of his condition than Kim, maybe it wasn't as bad for him. How lucky he was. He saw a shoe on the floor by the window. Most likely Colin's. Not from one of the girls. A quick glance in their directions ensured this as they had their shoes. "Yo." Kim said, raising a hand, as he gave his trademark greeting to them. He was still undecided as to whether he wanted to go into the crowded compartment. The train's compartments tended to hold up to 2 with leisure, up to 4 comfortably and up to 6 if you wanted things to be crowded inside. However, you could also try and cram more into the area. In which case, you could squeeze a maximum of 10 people inside. But you probably wouldn't be able to breathe and would have to sit in someone's lap. Right now, there were 4 occupants. Not enough room for him inside. Maybe he'd go back to Lucia's compartment if there was still room there. Puffie squeaked his greeting to everyone from his current position on top of Kim's left shoulder. The puff's eyes sparkled upon seeing the familiar faces. He let his eyes flicker over an unfamiliar owl, who was quite a beauty! "Lovely owl, Irish. When did you get it?" Kim asked, curious. He knew it was Colin's because Amelia was Sophia's and Sage had spoken about getting a dreadful cat. Because of this, Kim was fairly certain the owl wasn't hers. He supposed it could have been Precious's. But his gut was telling him it was Colin's. The answer would soon be revealed and he let his eyes flicker from one person to the next, as he lingered there. Kim didn't want to leave the compartment just yet, as he'd only just arrived. But he also didn't want to step into it either. As his current location allowed his panic to remain under control but going inside might make it explode. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】"Ah, I knew it!" Gem exclaimed, gazing admirably at the owl. "Uhuu, huh? That suits him quite well, I'd say. Did you know that Indian eagle owls can--"
Suddenly, the train jolted violently, and Colin was sent sprawling into Gem's lap. She squeaked and went still as he tried to right himself.
"S-sorry about that, lass!"
"It's all right." Gem croaked, as her own face began to flush. Goodness, what was it with these people and personal space? Were all her friends just extraordinarily clumsy?
Fortunately, she was spared from her embarrassing predicament as a tall shadow darkened the cabin's doorway. "Sage!" she cried, waving happily. "Come on in! So good to see you."
Colin froze. Gem puffed, as he was still sort of in her lap. She didn't really feel like trying to move him off her, so she leaned against the foot of the seat instead. He seemed absolutely entranced, his eyes locked on Sage as Sophia tugged her over to the seats behind them.
Gem quirked a brow, feeling slightly suspicious. She gently placed a hand on Colin's shoulder, but before she could ask what was up, there was another noise at the doorway.
"Yo." Kim Sato slid against the doorframe and swept his blue eyes over the group.
"Hey! Oh, I like the new color. It's quite bold." Gem said, gesturing to her own hair as she spoke. The bright, brilliant shade of crimson was certainly something. And he'd managed to throw together a pretty stylish outfit as well! She smiled at him, but he just hovered awkwardly in the open doorway.
"Well, are you staying or going?" she asked, a teasing lilt to her voice. "You're letting in all the hot air, you know."【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】

Oof.
Next thing she knew, Sophia had barrelled towards her, enveloping her spindly limbs in a one-armed, sticky-cheeked hug.
Sage received her friend with warmth, and while she was still very awkward with these kinds of things, the girl no longer tensed visibly upon contact. The reserved Sage had opened up a great deal as of late, thanks to Kim’s influence and Sophia’s affection and loyalty. Funny how much a year could change a person, how much more would seven years do? Sage could only wonder.
“Nice meeting you, Colin. ” Meeting the boy’s stare head-on was a bit difficult. It wasn’t often that Sage became the subject of one’s gaze - she couldn’t help but feel a little self-conscious, and mind you, she’s not one to bother with such things.
"And this is Uhuu, Colin's friend. Isn't he beautiful?"
A welcome distraction came in the form of the owl perched on Sophia's finger. Now, Sage had a soft spot for Amelia, Sophia’s pet owl, who was instrumental in their revenge-prank against Kim; but the sweet thing would probably appear dwarfed next to this hulking mass of a bird. Even so, Sophia held it aloft, no problem - ah, could it be a youngling? It proved quite majestic for its youth.
“Oh, very handsome, yes.” Sage acquiesced, giving Uhuu’s downy chest a gentle stroke. Sage hoped it didn't see her finger as a snack, unlike her brother's crow, Cato. Her eyes flicked over towards where the Gem lay tangled with Colin, mirth edging her lips.
“Gem! Bumpy ride, huh?”
Sage was about to help either one out had Sophia not shooed her into a seat. Not long after, Kim made his grand entrance; stylish and effortlessly perfect as ever. He seemed hesitant to enter, just shy of crossing the doorway. She would have been, too, had she arrived at such a scene as this.
“Kim. I was beginning to think you were gonna ditch us!” chimed Sage, who couldn’t resist joining Gem in teasing their unruffable friend.
Sage let her gaze wander about. This ragtag group was as eclectic and messy as a drawer of mismatched socks! Not necessarily a bad thing. Typically, she wasn’t one to seek people out but she had to admit, it wasn’t at all unpleasant to be among friends.

"Errr ---" Colin couldn't help but stare! He'd heard a lot about her from Sophia of course, but Sophia had never said how tall, or how cute she is!
And all of a sudden a million things happened all at once! Sophia decided to jump all over Sage, which, strangely enough, irked Colin because she was in the way. Colin was still sprawled out on Gem --- for some strange reason he hadn't been able to move properly once he set eyes on the tall girl. He'd have to figure out if she were taller or if he was! At some point in time Kim seems to have shown up --- or at least a shock of red hair that was approximately Kim-shaped greeted them with his characteristic 'yo.'
But then time slowed down. All sound around Colin and Sage submerged into a meaningless jumble of noise. Sage returned his stare. Sage spoke: "Nice meeting you, Colin." Colin felt suddenly weird, and he managed to get himself up on his hands and knees, still on top of Gem, but not paying her any mind. He just stared at Sage, watching as her head turned, and her hair bounced just a bit. She smiled as Sophia introduced her to Uhuu.
Colin blinked. His breath came faster. And Sage turned to look back down at Colin. A slight smile played about her lips and Colin's eyes widened. What was this girl doing to him!?
"Uhh ---" Colin found he was unable to speak properly and that this girl's eyes locked with his momentarily. She spoke to Gem and Colin found he could move again! She must have cast some kind of spell on me? Must have been one they didn't teach in charms! But --- her eyes --- not blue? Colin thought. Aloud he said: "Wait. Wh --- Her eyes aren't ---"
"Oof!" Colin managed to knock himself sideways as he worked on disentangling himself from Gem. Time suddenly restored itself and the compartment was filled again with the happy sounds of his friends chattering! What was it about some girls that made Colin go all goofy? He just managed to avoid falling all over Gem's legs, but ended up falling under the seat. "Ow! 'M okay!" He knew he was blushing and now and as he wiggled back out from under the seat, he got up into a crouch from where he could see that Sophia had dragged Sage onto the seat next to her. Brilliant! He looked away from the girls and shook himself like a dog. "Reset, Colin lad, reset!" he whispered to himself.
He clambered up onto the seat and turned around thrice, finding a comfy spot. At last he settled into the corner by the window, and that's when he took a good look at Sage, now that the initial shock had worn off. She'd just said something about Kim ditching them. Colin cocked one eyebrow at that, then turned his stare towards Kim. He was actually kind of surprised he didn't see Kim in the compartment with that sparkly Ravenclaw girl and that warrior queen of flour mongers, Regina Miller. He'd have to ask Kim about that some time.
It was only that Colin found he was able to speak normally again. So, he waved at Sage. "Hey! Nice t' meet yeh too!" He stood up on the seat again and bowed towards Sage. "Gingersnaps has told me about you a bit! She --- oi!" Colin realised that Gem was still sitting on the floor! "Why're you still sittin on the floor Gemmikins? We've got plenty of seats, right!"
He stepped down onto the floor and reached out a hand to her; if she wished to take it, he'd pull her up. And maybe drag her to a seat!

Pax strolled down the corridors of the train, looking for their friends. They were dressed in pale blue jeans, and a plain red t-shirt, looking like any other muggle student. After annoying hanging out with their brother for a little bit, they'd gotten bored and decided to find some cooler people. Their brother did not come under that category as a wannabe goth.
They recapped the year in their head as they checked each compartment. It had gone to a rocky start, having very few friends and all, but they had soon settled in, and they liked to think they'd found their place at the school. As Gryffindor quidditch co-captain, and as a dedicated friend to several. Everything seemed to have gone better since they joined the quidditch team, and they didn't plan to let that slip away. There was of course room to grow and learn- they were only twelve after all-but they were excited to see where the next six years would go. After all, with such a good start to their Hogwarts journey, it could only go uphill from here, surely.
Finally, they stumbled across the right compartment. Before entering, they stood outside and watched their close friends as the chaotic mess they were. They definitely didn't look like a stalker, nope.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Precious was the first to greet him. Puffie squeaked at her, his eyes bright as he stared at the girl from Kim's left shoulder in all his pink glory. "Mm. I thought it would be fitting for summer." He told her and made a face as Precious mentioned he should shut the door. Essentially telling him to come inside or leave to keep the cool air from leaving the small compartment. It wasn't a surprising statement but Kim still hadn't made up his mind about staying or going, due to the cramped quarters. He glanced over at Sage as the girl welcomed him too and inclined his head in her direction. "I was saying hello to a few friends before I came." Kim had debated about riding with Gia for a time earlier. But she'd been busy and he'd already made plans to stay with Sophia's friends. He couldn't ditch them. Sure, he hadn't given his word to be with them, but he'd said he would try and meet up with them to sit together for the ride back home. Puffie squeaked at him and Kim turned his head to regard the small pink ball of fur and reached up to scratch his head through the fluff. And that was when Pax decided to show up too. Kim sensed a presence behind him and glanced over his shoulder to see them. More people. He did a mental calculation. It would be too crowded. If he and Pax joined, there would be a total of 6 in the compartment. 4 fit comfortably with space inside. 8 was the maximum occupancy, although you could squeeze in 10 people. But to do that you'd have to have quite a few people sit on or lie across someone else's lap and get very intimate with someone. 6 wasn't the worst but it was still pretty bad for Kim. If there had been 9 people without him, he would have definitely made an excuse to leave. It just wasn't possible for him to handle. 8 was also a bit much, although he could probably handle that if he forced himself to do so. 6 was... well not preferable. If it had been 3, he'd have quickly sat down inside. Perhaps he would have even done so, given enough time, with 4. But with Pax there now... There would be 6, including Kim, and he didn't feel comfortable with that amount of people in such a small enclosed space. The last thing he wanted was to pass out from feeling faint. No one here knew the extent as to how bad his social anxiety could get in certain circumstances. They only knew he didn't do well with lots of people crowded together into a small space. It wasn't something he liked to advertise. "It looks like there's not much space inside, so - " Kim said, about to make his exit from the area. But then, Puffie quickly hopped off his left shoulder. It seemed as if he had something in mind to do. The puff bounced off one shoulder to the next, until he finally came to a halt on Sophia's shoulder. He smiled up at the girl, happy to be close to her again and squeaked affectionately at her. Kim stared at his pet and shook his head a little, somewhat annoyed at him but there wasn't much he could do. The boy stepped into the compartment and closed the door to keep the cool air inside, but didn't make a move to sit down. There weren't any seats left anyway, not unless they squished together a little. And Kim didn't really want to do that right now. If anyone asked him to sit, he'd raise a hand and shake his head, rejecting their offer, even if they tried to make space. "I prefer to stand for now. I can lean up against the door or the wall here." Kim told them. But after a time, it seemed as if he was going to have to make a decision. And he decided to excuse himself because it was really too crowded for him at the moment. But he didn't feel comfortable asking anyone inside to leave just for him, they'd gotten there first! "Will you excuse me? I have something to take care of and need to get it done before the train reaches its destination. I'll be back later!" Kim said and then ducked out of the cramped section. He did intend on returning here. Just not anytime soon. Probably a few minutes before the train came to a halt when they reached their destination. "You coming, Puffie?" Kim asked and as he turned, the puffball quickly hopped off Sophia's shoulder and came over to cling to his leg, scampering up the material to reach his favorite position. The top of Kim's shoulder. Right next to his neck. It was warm there and Puffie liked being close to his face as often as he could do so. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────
