Time for a new friendship?

Nick smiled and felt a little flushed as the girl commented on his success. He was used to getting claps and cheers from people during sports, but those never really meant anything to him. This time he was trying to complete his very first spell....magical spell....something that still dumbfounded him every time he even thought about it. That meant a lot more to him than any steal, catch or homerun he had ever had.
"Good luck" He said as the girl went about her next attempt. Watching intently Nick tried to see if he had done something wrong yet again but a sound from the room caught his attention as someone else had successfully done the spell. Looking back as he heard the sound of the whistle against the deck he noticed that girl had been unsuccessful again. It was nothing to be ashamed of though of course, who was to say that anyone succeeding was more lucky than anything anyway.
"Well...I guess I will try to not disappoint then" Nick said as he placed his wand in the air again. He felt like maybe with a good image of his own watch, and a little bit of luck he would be able to do the spell. Though he was unsure of how great it would be. He focused on creating the image of his watch very intently in his head, imagining the facets as he closed it around his wrist, the face of the watch and the hands moving every time he checked it, and even the feeling of every time he anxiously moved it around on his wrist. As he moved his wand and muttered the incantation he saw the whistle slowly morph again into the watch that laid upon wrist. He waited for a second to see if itd shift back, but unlike last time the watch managed to keep its form.
"Well....I guess it worked" He said, picking up the watch only to quickly notice any form of movement from it, also noticing the date on the face of the watch was entirely wrong and the time did not match either. ""It's not perfect by any means, but at least it stuck this time He said before holding it out for the girl to see if she chose to. "Your turn now though. I know you can do it! Just picture it in your head and focus." He said with a smile.

Time for a new friendship?
Thankfully, Mireia was not the jealous type - at least not in Charms class, yet. So her partner's success was delightful to her. She watched anxiously as he cast his spell again, trying to both watch the whistle and his movements and listen to his incantation since she should really take some notes from him. He was clearly better than her at this.
To her delight, she did notice a couple of things that her fellow caster did that she should maybe do, especially when the whistle did in fact turn into a watch once more, and stayed that way! She noticed, rather quickly that there were a couple of inconsistencies, but for the most part it just kind of looked like a broken watch, rather than a transfigured magic. He could probably fool a muggle with that.
"Wow, that's really good! Ok, I swear I can do it this time." She stated, proudly and confidently. A lot of it was likely about confidence, and so she tried to make sure that her own did not waver.
Now that his whistle was transformed, it was time for her whistle to join it. She took a deep breath, went over the mental notes she took on her classmate's actions once more in her mind, and then attempted again. She waved her wand precisely in the correct manner and clearly stated the incantation exactly as it was supposed to be pronounced. Even before the magic took hold, she knew she achieved a better performance than before.
The whistle wiggled a bit on the table and then popped, suddenly, into a watch. It had some errors. The size wasn't correct, it wasn't as large and the watch should probably be, the color was off as well - or perhaps she should say the material was off. The watch was entirely made of the same metal as the whistle, not the correct glass and leather that is should be. It was a strange sight, and almost looked like an art piece rather than the functional item ti was supposed to be. It did not stay in this shape either, but it stayed for a bit. It looked around 30 seconds before it began to wiggle and popped back into a whistle.
She knew she had to practice more, and glancing over at a real clock in the classroom, she realized there was not much time left in class. A little bit, maybe enough time to get another try or two in for them. But Mireia was not worried, she was certain they would work on it in class more in the coming days or weeks. She would surely master it by then if she got this far now.
She grinned at her partner after her performance, "Almost there!" She exclaimed, "And nearly in time, too." She said, referencing the time left in the class period.

OOC: No worries, I was in a similar state - sorry for the lateness!
