Closed 'Ello, Mate! PV Clair Fernandez

"You don't have to pay it back." He knew that Aunt Maggie would think this as a necessity too. The City didn't have to be so scary, but surely you needed to have a communication device on your just in case. He'd place his number in there, his aunt's, and any emergency numbers she might need, including some for his friends just so she had some points of contact. One never knew.

"Edward Smith...is a Russian boy....who asked you to be his girlfriend while puking slugs..." Simon said slowly, trying to process that into something that made even a bit of sense. She thought HE was talking nonsense? "He sounds....quite romantic and charming," he said, his tone showing he thought anything but that. Sure, it was a step up from her admitting her undying love for cows but a boy puking slugs? That certainly wasn't very endearing. He looked over to Clair, inwardly thinking she could do far better than that.

He'd do his best to give her the benefit of the doubt though and when the man said they were all done, Simon paid with his debit card that he had and Clair was handed her new phone. "I'll give you a quick tour on it," he said, and the two moved where there was a bench at the front of the store. He didn't go outside yet, because, well, the sun, and there he gave her a rundown on how to make a phone call, how to take a photo, where to locate some of the other apps, including how to search for things which he could see her doing most often.

From there, the two left the store and they stopped to get a Mr. Whippy ice cream for her as they walked down the city streets. There were people, but not too many, and there were cars but at this time of day it was the usual driving crowd that knew what to do on the streets of South Kensington so there wasn't as much honking as she probably had imagined London to be like.

It wasn't long until they arrived at his townhome with the mint green accents. "Here it is, home sweet home," he said.

"Just because I don't does not mean I won't!" She grinned, if Clair had her mind set to it should would do it, and Nothing would stop her at all.
She smirked, "Really he is not thatttt bad, I mean he could be better. Maybe its some Russian thing to do that? I'm trying to learn Russian so that I can understand him when he flips back and forth." She shrugged "It's coming along, somewhat, I can really say the things, I mean books don't tell me how to say things very well, but I can understand about ten words now." She smiled, rather proud of being able to know 10 new words, not that she could form a sentence with them yet.

She watched as he showed her how to find and use the things on the phone, she watched intently as he did all the things, making mental notes in her brain for later, surely if she could learn new things so often she would be able to remember how to use the phone, or so she hoped.
Putting her new phone in her pocket (the one that was extra deep because it normally held her wand) she followed him as they walked.

Once they got to Simon's house, Clair smiled, "It's so cute!" Could a house be cute? Well now it could!

He liked it. It wasn't quite as fancy as the white house next door with the light blue door but that was part of what made it feel warm and cozy and not sophisticated and stuffy. Simon unlocked the door and opened it, revealing a small sort of entry way and there was a note on a long table under a mirror. Picking it up, he read that Aunt Maggie would be home shortly. This would give him just enough time to give Clair a tour of the inside of the home. "I'll show you around," he said as he motioned for her to follow him.



The inside of the townhome was done in a victorian style thanks to his Aunt Maggie. She liked dark interiors for the home and stuck mainly with greens and blues, but added in a few other jewel tones.

He showed her the living room,




the kitchen,


the dining room,


the study/reading room which had the piano,




and the small washroom that was on the main level.


From there, he went to show her the small upstairs, hoping he wasn't boring her to death on his little tour here of the only home he had ever known. His aunt Maggie and his mother had grew up in that house with their parents and then his mother took it over when their parents died. Aunt Maggie got it after his mother had. It was the only home, now next to Hogwarts, that he had and he loved it there.

Upstairs was Aunt Maggie's room,


a washroom similar in style to the one downstairs but with a shower,


and the guestroom.


This is where they left Clair's things as she would be staying there and he made sure she knew where to find towels and the like. His room wasn't located on this floor for the sake of the windows. His was down in the basement as it gave him a better lighting situation. Simon loved it, as he got reign of the entire lower level. "Alright, now I'll show you my room."

He had his bedroom but also another space for music where his records were, some music playing devices, another piano, and his guitar stuff. Obviously this was where Simon spent most of his time while at home. There was a bathroom down there for his use as well.

"And that's the grand tour," he announced, knowing it was over nearly as soon as it began. This wasn't a large farm house like Clair's. It was a small little townhouse in South Kensington, London but he adored it.

Right down the stairs was a washroom,


but after that, none of it really gave resemblance to the rest of the house's style. Aunt Maggie had allowed him free reign over what he did with his room and while he loved her style of decorating, he had made this space all his own.





Finally he led her back upstairs and out the backdoor so she could see their garden. This would probably be the smallest, rather lack of a green space, that Clair had ever seen but that was their backyard.



They were there in the garden when he could hear a voice call through the house. "Where's my Special Simon?" she called out, starting already with her little pet name system. She often called him by name but placed an adjective that began with the letter S just like his name before it. If it were anyone else, he might have not let them, but this was Aunt Maggie.

"Out here!" he called out and glanced over to Clair and smiled to her, eager to have her meet his Aunt Maggie. His aunt must have heard him because she made her way down the hall to the back door and smiled widely, just as Simon normally did, when she saw her nephew's friend. "Clair, I've heard so many good things. It's good to see you! Welcome to our home," she said as she engulfed her into a large embrace - as large as her petite self could. Yes, Simon definitely got his friendliness from someone.

Clair followed Simon into the house, the entry way was very pretty, she liked the floor, it's cubed pattern made it look like it was a 3D floor. She took a deep breath, taking in the smell of baking and Flowers, She had always done that when she entered a house she had never been to, it gave her a sort of feeling into what the owner liked to do, or how they maintained their house.

The living room was something that amazed Clair, the colour was amazing, and the dark blue walls made Clair feel at home, after all the Ravenclaw common room was also a dark blue.
The kitchen, and dining room were both amazing, and to Clair it seemed like a very fancy place.
The best room that they had entered so far was the Reading room, the books that lined the walls caught Clair's attention right away, and all the other features of the room were lost to her.

When they came to the Washroom, Clair smirked "So city people have washrooms too then."
The guestroom was very nice, and as she put her stuff down, she patted Comet, "I'll be back later babe" yes, she called her rabbit a Babe, nothing out of the ordinary there.

when Simon showed her his back yard Clair wanted to laugh, the 'garden' was so small! But she refrained from laughing, even if a small smile formed on her face.

Clair smiled as she seen Simon's Aunt, it was crazy how much their smiles looked alike! She now could see where Simon got it from.
"Thank you Miss Kincaid, It's nice to meet you!" She returned the embrace, perfectly fine with it, if Maggie was related to Simon, then Clair liked her.

"Do call me Maggie," she said as she pulled back, still smiling brightly. "I heard you're quite fond of books and brought some new releases from my store for you." Many of them centered around animals as she had heard that Clair was quite fond of them as well. "Come, I also brought sweets for any normal person who may like them and others can just get a glass of water and join us," she threw a look over to Simon and then turned to head inside. Simon just laughed and motioned for Clair to follow and they headed into the kitchen.

Maggie was pulling lots of little boxes from a brown paper bag and laying them out along the counter so Clair could choose what she wanted. "I'm sure you're hungry after your trip and unfortunately, as kind as my Sweet Simon is, I doubt he thought much of how travel, or anything during the day for that matter, can famish someone." She poked fun at his dhampir traits but it was all in good fun. She loved him unconditionally and to no end.

Simon walked to the cubboard and took out three glasses and placed them nearby the ladies out the counter and then took his to the sink and filled it with water before going into the fridge to get some lemonade. Aunt Maggie always had lemonade. A liking of lemons was the only flavor preference the two shared. He poured some in the other two classes for his aunt and his best friend. "We already got Clair's things in the guest room." Aunt Maggie was glad to hear that.

"What do you want to do while you're here?" Simon was curious. Clair had mentioned being in London before so maybe she already saw all the touristy stuff.

Clair smiled "Alright, I'll try to remember, but old habits die hard." After years of calling adults Mr and Mrs or Miss, it would be harder for Clair to remember not to call this adult that, but surely she would be able to remember after a few times of stumbling.

Books! Clair had forgotten that Maggie owned a Bookstore, how thoughtful of her to bring some up!
Clair nodded, "It was very nice to let me stay, Let me know if I can help with anything at all." Clair was not going to be useless, no she was going to help in every way she could.

She thought for a moment, "whatever you want to do, last time I was in London I stayed in the hotel most the time, and only really went out for food and the odd gathering." Sadly the Ravenclaw had been far to over whelmed by the city to enjoy it last time, and with all the stuff that was going on in her family at that time it had made it be even more stressful.

"So what do you normally do in the city?" Surely Simon could not just spend the day thinking about Mia Anderson and all the lost moments he could of had with her.

"She's not going to let you do a thing," Simon said as he smiled brightly, knowing how Aunt Maggie was with guests. "Anyways, what I do normally in London and what others do normally in London are probably two totally different things." Surely they at least wouldn't be surrounded by animals like she was used to though, so anything they did would be different from her normal days outside of Hogwarts. Sure,there was Rascal and there was her badger, some random dogs being walked here and there, and maybe a good few hundred pigeons at the park, but other than that their animal encounters would be minimal.

"I like to roam around the City. I like to hang out with my friends and if you want to meet any of them we could try and fit that in. There's Gabe and Oliver and Olivia and Mia and Charlotte and Mia. We have a fantastic library. My church is amazing. I like to sneak into some music venues to catch a performance. I skateboard. Did you know I can skateboard?" he was relatively decent at it...better than you're average person but not Olympic worthy. "Also just like to hang out at the house and read or play music. You know, we can also do all the touristy stuff if that's more what you want to get out of London. It's your call."

"I can still try." She said, as she smiled.
"Wait is there two Mias? But Ooooh yes, I must meet Mia Anderson." She smiled, "I've just got to see what you see in her." Clair scanned her mind to see if Simon had mentioned a second Mia, my my how confusing that would be if you had two friends named Mia!

Library? Oh her attention was caught. "then we should see that too."
There were a few Libraries in Carlisle, but they were rather tiny, and mostly filled up with books for three year olds.

"You Skateboard? Well I guess you learn something knew everyday after all!" Clair had not known that about him, nor would she had guessed it about him either. "Does Rascal have his own mini board?" She asked, picturing a skateboarding rat.

"I want to see how you live, not how the boring tourists do it." she poked him gently "Besides I don't want to be a burden to you at all, if I ever annoy you, just tell me and I'll give you space." Clair could be a pushover, she had worked on it a little, but there was still tons of room for improvement.

"You never annoy me, Clair," he said, and that was the truth. Clair had her own eccentric personality and it wasn't always the same as his but that's what was so great about her. If he wanted someone around him that was just like him then he could enjoy the solitude with himself. No, he liked getting to know other people and Clair Mackenzie Fernandez just happened to be one of his all time favorites.

"Alright, Mia Anderson, the Library, and then finding ourselves a performance to go to is the plan," he clapped his hands together - whether to make such plans more official or to show his exitement for seeing Mia Anderson, that was to be debated.

He motioned for Clair to follow him. "Pick out something nice to wear for tonight's performance and we'll come back and have supper and change before. Bring Comet down. Her badger self can hang out with Rascal and Aunt Maggie will keep her eye on them." Maggie had grown quite attached to Rascal in the days he was gone visiting AngelFyre and her family in Scotland.

"Meet me back here in, oh, a couple minutes," he said and rushed off toward his room. If he was seeing Mia Anderson, there might be a wardrobe change and a mirror check involved to make sure his hair was (as always though) perfectly in place.

"I'm sure I've annoyed you before, I can be pretty annoying. I've been told tons of times by Belle and Izzy." It was true, Izzy mostly, had told Clair many many many times that she was a brat or that she was annoying. Clair of course did not think she was being annoying, but did anyone ever think they were?
Clair nodded, "Sounds great!"
She quickly went to her room (though I dare say slower then Simon must have) and tried to choose something, she decided that it would not be a good idea to wear a hoodie, or sweat pants.
After some thought she ended up choosing out a cat shirt and a pair of Jeans that looked good together.

Picking up Comet she took her back to the living room, the rabbit seemed to be enjoying the adventure so far, seeing as she had no pulled any of her tricks that she would do if she was not enjoying things, Thank goodness.

She patted Comet's head, "You be a good girl won't you? If I hear anything about you being naughty I'll have to give you extra cuddles!" Clair had different pet owning skills then others, thats for sure!
