Goosebumps Play Auditions
April 1st 2022 at 4:00pm to 6:00pmNoah looked down on his parchment. @Willa Moon had earned the spot of eerie chords. That was decided. @Bailey Glade performed "Slappy's Revenge" and mentioned that she was auditioning for a small part. Well, maybe she'd like to play the mother? He put Bailey's name next to Dorothy's mother, with a question mark.
@Sophia Nelson delievered a immersing monologue, swirling around the trouble that Dorothy and her brother, Gary, had gotten themselves into. Then the song that she sang was all about falling in love and how it was wonderful. Well, Noah automatically approved Sophia as Dorothy.
@Kim Sato auditioned for Curly, the skeleton with a rocking mohawk, the narrator of the play. Noah listened carefully, his smile becoming bigger and bigger. His monologue was spot on, and as was his singing. He considered asking Kim to repeat what he sung, since it was a rap and Noah was... confused, but he loved the singing. So he didn't ask for him to repeat. He got the role of Curly.
@Ari Gwild auditioned for Slappy, the evil dummy that comes to life when you speak the five words that shouldn't be uttered. "OH MY GOD! ARI! ARE YOU-" then Ari popped back up, after pretending to be limp. He listened to the song, and decided Ari deserved the part of Slappy.
Now he was to answer Bailey's question. "Yes. You were great. I'm going to do my audition, since there are two roles left, both are male roles, and I'll audition for one. Gary. But the second male role is the father. Do any of you want the second role? Kim? You could use a mask and a costume for a role and then a wig and glasses for the father."
----
He walked up to the stage, conjured a bluebell flame and put it on either side of him onstage, to appear somewhat whimsical.
And now, he was beginning his monologue.
"Dor- DOROTHY! DOROTHY! THIS DOLL! DOROTHY! HELP! HE'S CHOKING ME!" He acted it out, and acted like Dorothy was coming closer to investigate. He then acted out taking the hands off his throat and smirking. "Haha I got you, didn't I? What do you mean? THE DOLL IS FAKE! THOSE FIVE WORDS MEAN NOTHING! Right? R-right?"
It wasn't a long monologue, but Noah wasn't planning to come up here and audition, but he might as well just say something. Gary wasn't a main character. He was a supporting character.
Now was his song. He considered playing the piano, but he knew he was atrocious at it, and didn't want to demonstrate his awful skill, so he just sung the song. (OOC NOTE: its in parentheses but it's from Queen, titled Killer Queen.)

Now that was done, and so Noah walked back to the table he was at from the start. "Alright, Bailey, you got the part of Dorothy's Mother. Sophia, you got the part of Dorothy. Kim, you got the part of Curly. And Ari, you got the part of Slappy. I am Gary. And Willa shall be playing our chords needed for the show! Congrats all! I will see you in a few weeks so you all can look over your scripts and learn your lines. And I will get the room set up for the rehearsals and shows. Including scene and sets. You all need to find costumes or make your own costumes, and get props that'll fit your character. Thank you all for coming! See you then!"
