Always say ‘hello’ to an Oliviera
"What classes have you had?"
Scott straightened his back. Arabella almsot looked like she was blushing, but if the food was too spicy for her then that was ok because Scott could see someone passing a water carafe toward them from down the table. He took it and poured up water for both Arabella and him.
"Charms and potions, so far. I have my first flying lesson soon, too, which is exciting because both my brothers play quidditch. But you know that! Or maybe, when we last met it was only Silas who played. Ben does so too, now, but Silas is a professional! He's in Estonia."
Scott never missed an opportunity to mention that.
He took a 'sip' of water, that had him coughing a few seconds later as it'd gone down the wrong pipe, and then poured his glass full again. He was really happy to see her, actually. He'd never had any difficulties making friends, but meeting someone you already know is a different kind of fun.
"Do you like quidditch? I have to admit, before we start talking about it, that I'm no expert myself. But I love watching! And I've flown before, too, and it's incredible. Though I'm not sure I'm any good. You?"

Arebella took the glass of water. "Oh thank you I don't usually think of staying hydrated." She chuckled. Arebelle listened to him talk about his classes. She should really get on top of that she did come here to learn magic. She perked up after hearing him talk about flying classes. Other than Transfiguration and Astronomy Arebella couldn't wait to take flying lessons. Her eyes widened after hearing him say his brother played proffesional Quidditch. "Wow!" Sbe said under her breathe. She would think his family being very wealthy and all would be a brain family but she was wrong about that.
"Do you like flying?"
Arebella beamed with a smile and answered with a ferocious, "Yes! I love it. Though I've only flown once on my brothers old nimbus 2000. You must have a the newest thunderbolt or your brothers do or something." She was happy that he had an interest in Quidditch like her. Her brothers did but they never let her in on the conversation. "I'm a huge supporter of the Hollyhead Harpies! Who do you support? Probably your brothers team I'm guessing. I am so surprised at how bad the Wasps are doing this year considering last year they almost made it to the cup." She sighed. "Next year will you be trying out for the Gryffindor team?" She asked.

"Yes! I love it. Though I've only flown once on my brothers old nimbus 2000. You must have a the newest thunderbolt or your brothers do or something."
Scott shook his head smiling, he didn't have a broom, but she kept talking and he loved that she did.

Scott laughed as he supposed this was how he spoke sometimes. He couldn't understand why some people would say it's annoying, it sounded wonderful from his perspective.
He shook his head. "I don't know anything about that. Dad takes us to games, or rather, my mother does but he likes to pretend like it's his thing, but I can barely remember people's names let alone teams'. My brother Ben, though, he's very excited about all that. He always says he supports the Karasjok Kites, which is a Norwegian team but I think he's just a little in love with their keeper. And I think Silas is with you, because whenever he can he tries to make a Hollyhead game. Or is it a "Harpies game"? Though they don't play very often in Estonia, so eh rarely gets the chance nowadays."
When he finished talking, Scott thought about her question.
Next year will you be trying out for the Gryffindor team?
Thinking about it made him happy, but only because it hadn't occurred to him yet one could also be nervous about such a thing.
"Try out? Definitely. Ben would kill me if I didn't. But I also thing he'd kill me if I got the spot first try so I'm happy with so much. I honestly look more forward to seeing the games, and I think it sounds like maybe it's you who should see what you're made of."

Arebella chuckled and slightly blushed at the compliment. "Thank you. If I do get on the team though Anthony will kill me. He tried out in his second year and didn't get on the team. He was devistated and hasn't tried out since." She looked up at Scott from her plate. "Anthony's my eldest brother. You remember right? He's in his fifth year this year and is 15. Then there's Ceasar who's in his third year who's 13. Mum cried all through the car ride until we got on the train because we're getting so big." She smiled smally to herself she loved her mothers love.
"So you like to fly but your not into Quidditch as much? I understand that. They should make broom racing a sport shouldn't they?" She thought out loud. Arebella got lost in Scott's beutiful eyes for a couple seconds then snapped back to reality. "I really did enjoy catching up with you Scott." She said with a smile putting her hand on his shoulder. Suddenly her impulsivity took over her and she kissed him on the cheek before running out of the hall leaving him aline at the Gryffindor table confused at the kiss.

Scott made a list in his head of people that had kissed his cheek.
His mother, who'd do it with all her lipstick and leave big marks whenever she'd been worried but then relieved to see him. Like when he gets lost in the city.. His father, with his scratchy stubble whenever they made up after an argument.. Silas, who kissed him goodnight whenever he was home, Mia who was his dearest cousin, and the strange but kind Spanish lady last year with the odd-smelling perfume.
Now, as she was leaving the Great Hall, Scott supposed he better add Arabella to his now existing list. His nose wrinkled, not in disgust but in confusion. Someone was looking at him funny but he didn't actually mind them, and by boyish reflex he rubbed his right cheek without actually thinking of it, and watched her disappear around a corner.
He decided it wasn't too strange. He'd enjoyed catching up with her, too.
Without caring to cut his potato even in half, he put the whole thing in his mouth and looked around. One boy, probably in his second year, was looking at him peculiarly. Not realizing it was probably because of his manners, Scott made a gesture toward the door and said,
"She's gonna be a quidditch player next year."
