General The Slytherin Table 2017 - 2018 Closed

Marcus snickers softly when he notices Adalaine's red face out of embarrassment "Seems like I just destroyed your views on muggleborns, my apologies but it is kind of common sense if you think about it..Or did you really think Magic itself randomly selects Muggles?" he mumbled to her with a soft chuckle and a smirk then raised an eyebrow when she snatches a piece of his food off his plate "Well..someone needs to learn manners once again" He said "Didn't your parents teach your table manners?" he asked then looks around to everyone and shrugs "Seems like she is just upset about my comment." He said to everyone else

Glancing back over to Ada, he shakes his head out of pity mostly then returns to his food making sure to keep his distance from her so she can't snatch food from his plate "Anyway" He starts after swallowing his bite "What is everyone looking for to, in terms of classes and clubs?" He asked "For me it's mostly Charms, Runes and Transfiguration, I mean I wouldn't mind being a animugus, as for clubs...Dueling and Quidditch" 

Pausing to take another bite, chewing and swallowing he adds "I hope with us as the newest Slytherins we can make a lasting impact on our house and on Hogwarts as a whole." He says raising his drink "Too seven years of Slytherin!"

Ava rolled her eyes. 'Just stop.' she said to no one in particular and took a bite. She sighed and yawned again. Ava chewed the bite slowly and closed her eyes.*Everything's fine.* She thought as she took a couple deep breaths to calm herself down. She opened her eyes and looked around feeling a huge wave of embarrassment flooding down her cheeks. She got back to eating. The food was tasty, but after those few bites, she wasn't hungry anymore. She wasn't really hungry to begin with. Ava pushed the table away from herself. She yawned again. 'Can we go to the common rooms already?' She was really tired and wanted to sleep as fast as possible.

Marcus eyes Ava silently for a few seconds then proceeds to softly chuckle "Never did answer my questions, it's alright though" he smiles at her "As for leaving...i believe we need to wait the headmaster to dismiss us, though i wouldn't be surprised if he had some kind of announcement beforehand" he adds glancing up toward the headmaster then back to Ava "Anyway i wish you luck and good fortune in your future especially since you are apart of the Snake's Den" he finishes with a smile then goes back to his food

Ava rolled her eyes with a smile. 'Transfiguration, Charms, and Potions. As for clubs - also Duelling.' She yawned again. 'I'm bored.' She said and saw another girl coming to the Slytherin Table, strangely away from other first years. The girl dropped a fork and you could see how quickly her cheeks became red. Ava looked at her without saying anything for a few seconds. 'HEY!' she called the girl loudly and looked at her again with a curious smile. 'Come sit with us!' She smiled again and showed the girl a place next to her.

"You don't really seem like a duelist" Marcus replied to Ava with a soft chuckle, then noticing the shaking newcomer he glanced over to her and raised a slight eyebrow "No need to be scared, Remember..The Sorting Hat put you here for a reason, so no need to be afraid of everyone" He stated reassuringly to the girl.

Looking back over to Ava, he grinned "I'm more excited for Charms in terms of classes, since Charms is pretty much the go to for a lot of wizarding things, though I do have to add Defense Against The Dark Arts to the list of classes I am looking forward too, since from what I have heard we do duel in that class"

Pushing his plate away, he puts his stomach with a chuckle "Pretty good for a first night's meal, I'm looking forward to breakfast tomorrow" He says then looks at everyone especially the ones who haven't spoken at all "It would be wise to get to know everyone in our year, since Networking for Allies and such is a big thing for a Slytherin especially in our first year, so those of you who are sitting here being extremely quiet are already failing to build a Network" he stated then relaxed and waited to see if they could be dismissed.

Ava pulled the plate to herself, bored and shrugged. 'I'm not that big of a duelist. Just, if I have to pick between Duelling and Quidditch, I pick Duelling.' She took another bite. 'UGh... What's taking him so long? I'm boreeed...' She crossed her arms and closed her eyes, just to open them angrily. 'You know what? I don't care.' She stood up. 'I. Am. Leaving.' She said quietly so no one except her table could hear and angrily walked out of the hall, trying not to look suspicious. She walked out and leaned against the closed door, closing her eyes in relief.

Marcus glances over to Ava as she leaves, shrugging lightly as he waited though in his mind he was thinking 'I may as well follow her out of the Great Hall, I wouldn't mind checking out the Library or the Dueling Room' he then looked around at the other first years, chuckling softly he gets up from his seat "If anyone needs me, I'll be on the forth floor either the Dueling Room or the Library, see you all later for class" He said as he began strolling to the huge double doors , making his way out he shook his head then looks around for Ava "Hey Ava, I'm heading to the forth floor, want to join me?" He asked "Probably the Library first, to see what they have for spellbooks." He added then made his way toward the staircase trying to figure out which way it is to the forth floor noticing a long staircase he heads up it, noticing it leads to the forth floor "Well that's good" He mumbled in relief as he walked up the staircase "Hopefully it doesn't start moving like the stories say" He chuckled softly at that.

She took an empty chair near the end of the table. She had been sorted into Slytherin, not that she was particularly surprised. She tried to hide her excitement but all her efforts succeeded in doing was providing her with a creepy grin as she took a seat near Ava. She listened in on the conversation she was having with some boy, she was making friends quick. Unfortunately she was not much of a socialite. She wished she was decent at small talk, at making new friends but she was pretty bad at making them and even worse at keeping them.

She took a breath as she played with the food on her plate. She was not feeling particularly hungry. 

She would sit there and pretend to eat until the other Slytherins started to disperse. She did not want to be the first or the last. After Ava announced that she was heading off, defying some imaginary curfew or rule perhaps Marcus would find an excuse to leave shortly thereafter. 

She would chuckle to herself. Oh, that was why... 

She wondered if they started as a couple before they came here or if they just worked fast. *Shrug* It made no difference to her. She would spear a carrot with the tines of her fork and slide it into her mouth. It was unexpectedly delicious. She housed the vegetables, a lifetime first. Then she would look to the left and then again to the right. 

Perhaps it was time for her to meander off.

Destrian came walking from the two great doors, entering the hall and approaching the Slytherin table. The mere sight of his new 'family' made his lips pull up in a delighted smile. He had looked forward to Hogwarts all his life, mostly due to curiosity, and now that he was here he could barely believe it was actually true. The floating rows of candles; the long tables; the teachers; the large plates of food. He sat himself down at the other first year students and eyed them for a while, studying them, before he spoke up. "Hello, Marcus. And hello others whom I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet. My name is Destrian Dayne." There was a smile on his lips which didn't quite reach his eyes, which were too busy eying the students around him. He tried, though. 

Marcus grinned appearing out of nowhere beside Destrian "Somehow i knew i wouldn't be able to sneak up on you, Heir Dayne, pleasure to see you up and about this fine fine Green and Silver day" he chuckles softly then heads to his seat that was surprisingly set in the middle of the table "Come along  Destrian, we should grab our seats before someone...unworthy attempts to do so" he smirked to Destrian then to the others at the table as he sits down "Ah..nice and comfy" he commented glancing around the table "Does anyone challenge this?" He asked the entire Slytherin Table "I'm sure their are bound to be some Snakes ambitous enough to attempt to go against the flow of change" he commented with a shrug "it would be preferable if something does happen it be held in our common room...after all as Slytherin Law states we are to act united against the other houses so if we have any disagreements we move them to the common room during house meetings" he said nodding to Erin, Ava and Alex "you three can come over here if you so desire, a true Slytherin Council would be preferable with atleast five members"
