Edme's Birthday! open

Eve Hopper is a first year Gryffindor. She wants to know about everything and for that one day she was walk around the castle. So on the way she decided to go to library. She also was a little bit upset because she was sorted into a house she didn't wanted. When she came in she saw a group of students. And as she understood it was someone's birthday. Eve didn't know anybody there. By seeing students Eve got scared it seemed like her appearance is embarrasing and everyone was looking at her. Eve thought like that for a moment. Then Eve said in her mind ''DO NOT LOSE YOUR TEMPER EVE!''
After that she said ''Hi! ... As I understand its someone's birthday, isn't it!?''
Then she again lost her temper and said ''I am really sorry, I think I shouldn't be here, I am really sorry for ruining your party, I am so sorry, I will go at this moment, and I am sorry again'' and Eve turned into the door.

Lots of people had shown up, three whole people! The third being Mercy Tolman, the roommate Edme had met about a month ago. She was very kind, and honestly quite pretty. A very standard, nice girl. Edme had been nervous about having someone to share a room with before, but Mercy had proven to be quite a gem.

Though now, she was more like a jagged rock. Her chest was heaving and she appeared to gave a gleam of sweat forming on her brow. She was leaning on her knees, panting like a marathon runner.

"You aren't late at all." Edme assured her, pulling out a chair for her to sit in. They were slowly running out of chairs, "I will admit the library was a... strange place for a birthday party. I honestly thought Roseann would be the only guest."

Edme was never one for hanging about people she didn't fully know. They had been careful about attending the school, every move intricate and practiced. Well, less elegant, but still intricate and practiced.

It seemed that didn't count for the girl who came in quietly and nervously. She looked to be about Edme's age, and just as anxious as well. Edme knew the feeling of being nervous, though they had learned to control it to a point of somewhat calm. Well, no, not calm, but less anxious. It was complicated.

The girl spat out a few words, asking about a birthday party just as every other had. It seemed none were fully sure about an actual birthday going on. Before Edme could respond, the girl whirled around, apologies coming out in quick spats.

"Oh no, you don't have to leave! You didn't ruin anything! Wait!" Edme was grasping at some reason as to why this girl should stay. She didn't know her, after all. But it felt rude not to let her stay, as she seemed nervous as is. Closure was as close as they could get.

When Eve already was turned to the door to go out of the library. But Eve heard a voice from behind.
Eve stopped where she was at the moment, she thought for a moment to not turn into them and countinue walking to the corridors but then she turned she looked at students and then looked at the girl who said her to stay with them. As Eve understood the girl was from Ravenclaw as she was wearing a Ravenclaw school uniform. The girl had brown eyes and very white skin. The girl kinda reminded Eve aboout her sister, her sister also has brown hair and her skin is white. Eve asked to students about who's birthday is it ''If you do not mind may I know who's birthday is it? I just want to know'' and she looked at them with very shy face.

As the girl turned around to look back at Edme, Edme was quick to realize they're mouth was a straight, awkward line. I mean, she felt awkward, not knowing what exactly they were supposed to say. Thankfully, Eve finished for her, asking whose birthday it was.

"Oh, it's mine. 12th birthday." Edme finally let their face fall into a smile, trying to carry it with warmth, "Do I not look taller?" Edme was on a roll with these cool one-liners.

Their feet felt cold from the barely heated library. It was as chilly as the area outside, so it wasn't like there was much an escape. While she hated the cold, she loved the library. It was big, book filled, comfortable, quiet, and overall the best place one could be for comfort.

The old library at her old house was nice as well, though not half as big as this one. Edme would say it seemed almost as big as the Great Hall, though the thought was a bit extreme. The Great Hall was... well, great. It was huge. Definitely very different from the one in Scotland.

Returning to the world around them, Edme looked at the Eve girl, who still looked as nervous as before. Hoping to calm that tension, Edme smiled again, though this one wasn't as easily warm as the last. It was wearing out with the time. The sun was ever setting and the day was growing shorter by the second.

Eve got her question's answer. It was her birthday who told her to stay. The girl smiled again and Eve calmed down, now she was not that much nervous as she was from the beggining. When Eve calmed down she looked at the girl again, smiled and said with very low and slow voice: ''Happy 12th Birthday, I wish you well'' and Eve again got a little bit nervous.

Eve looked at her watch, she got amazed as she did not expect it will be that much late. She had a meeting at their common room. Eve looked at the group of students and said '' I am sorry again, I have to go now, I have a meeting, I hope you will have a good day''

Eve said and ran away from library as fast as she could.

The girl turned around once more, a little less tense than before, though not by a great amount. She wished Edme a happy birthday, rushing out of the room to go off to a meeting.

"Oh, goodbye!" Edme waved slowly at the quick girl. Turning back to the others, they smiled awkwardly, slipping into a weird state of something between discomfort and comfort. "Well then..." she coughed, "What now?"

Edme still wasn't quite sure what to do next. They had talked, and... well talked. It was a little hard to have a birthday in the library, so who was she to be disappointed. Not to say they were. It had been great, a real birthday with people she knew and didn't.

Looking at a small pocket watch they had burrowed into her bag (in case of emergencies of course), she nearly jumped at the time. It would nearly be curfew time, maybe a few hours until.

"Thank you all for coming. I really appreciate it." Edme wasn't one for heart to hearts, but they felt warm with glee, "I had a lot of fun. Even if we had to talk in hushed voices the entire time."

A realization of the book that still sat closed in front of her broke the heartfelt, and they grabbed it quickly, preparing to take it back to its currently vacant home.
