Thankfully, Rachel wasn't left alone with her thoughts for too long at all. Within no time Eliphas was exiting the library with the hefty book in hand, and a grin spread across his lips. Professor Simmons had granted him permission to check out his very first book, and the excitement he felt because of such had him practically dancing with each step.

"We have it!" he exclaimed, though not too loudly since they were still outside of a library and such were places of expected quiet. "I did promise to have it back by the end of the day, though. I don't want to risk forgetting it!" That would be one way to start things off wouldn't it? Having a poor House Elf clambering up to the Ravenclaw Common Room to reclaim what belonged in the library... Goodness no, not something he'd stand for.

He had exited into Rachel muttering aloud, having caught the tail end of her words. "I don't think we need to worry so much," he said, with a very light shrug. "I don't believe we'll get in trouble simply for approaching the Professor's Office. How else are we to ask him questions? And it's not like we plan on lingering long if he doesn't answer, just a second to enjoy the view then we can be on our way, right?"
