Muggle life with @Eliphas Dune

"I can't spoil it all for you, mate," Simon smiled. There were more types of other beings than the Ravenclaw could probably imagine. Hell, there were more magical beings than even Simon could imagine and he now knew that a lot of different ones existed.

"I've thought about that," he said in return to the boy's statement of if one grew up with it all. "Sometimes it makes me question if it would take some of the wonder out of it all. If you always knew it existed, there's so much more than you could know with your base knowledge here at Hogwarts but then again, would it be as 'magical,' so to speak?"

For Simon personally, he thought it was better not knowing. If he had to think about being half vampire all his life he might have become bitter. It was better to realize it now after already getting a bit of a grasp on his true self. He liked the ignorance back when he and his aunt thought he had some muggle genetic sort of condition called Xeroderma Pigmentosum. Plus, it was a lot easier for people to just understand that he didn't go out into the sun because of it - instead of being skeptical about it now. It was difficult though even there in the wizarding world because of the prejudices that some kept.

"How was it before here? Where were you from? What's your family like?" he asked, hoping to get to know the boy a little better. Maybe he could bring up some interests or hobbies and such as well. So far he knew he liked to read, and that he had a mother who watched closely what he did read. At least - that's the perception Simon had thus far.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)
