Addie couldn’t help but laugh as she watched the library--which moments ago had been steeped in peaceful silence--devolve into chaos. Joy and awe filled her as she watched her friends stomping, cartwheeling, and handstanding while they belted out a song at the top of their lungs. A thick fog now covered the ground, which Adeline thought was a marvellous improvisation on Henry’s part, and as he joined in the singing, she felt his arm wrap around her shoulder, and she allowed herself to sway in rhythm with him and Scarlet.

A moment later, Cody had rolled up a newspaper and was using it as a microphone, finishing off a verse of the song that she hadn’t actually heard before, before pointing to her and saying, “Adeline, to you! Have fun!”

Without skipping a beat, Addie broke away from Henry and Scarlet and sprinted over to the nearest table, the fog swirling around her legs as she ran. She pulled a wooden chair out and quickly stepped up on top of it, planting her feet firmly so she wouldn’t fall off. Normally, her practical jokes required her to be quiet and stealthy, but this time, she got to be loud and proud, which seemed like loads of fun. With a deep breath, she started the song, though to be honest, she was aiming more for volume than the actual notes.

“Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh, HEY!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh!”

With this final word, Adeline flung her arms wide like an overenthusiastic orchestra conductor and began “conducting” this cacophony of chaos. Looking around at her friends, she gave a slight nod, encouraging all of them to be their absolute loudest for the final round of the chorus.

Scarlet let out a small laugh on hearing Juniper's theory about her and Henry. She looked to Henry and then back to Juniper who gave the pair a wink before turning around, "no, we're just friends," she said, her laugh trailing off as she tried to give off a more serious tone. She hadn't thought the pair had looked as if they were dating, she hadn't really thought about it at all if she was being honest, but the others weren't to know of the friendship they had struck over their shared condition.

The topic was soon quickly forgotten when the attention turned to Cody as he began to sing, projecting his voice throughout the library and stomping his feet in time with the words. Scarlet couldn't say she recognised the song, but it sounded good.

Nicky and Juniper both jumped in with their own performance of Jingle Bells, that was a song she could join in with, she smiled back at Henry as he cast the familiar fog-creating spell before also lending his voice to the performance.

Catching sigh of another of the library's flying books whizzing by Nicky's feet, as she held the handstand, Scarlet had an idea. She withdrew her own wand from the pocket of her hoodie and, pointing it at pile of maybe three of so books on the desk nearest to them, said "Wingardium Leviosa," and the books lifted from the table. Scarlet directed them to circle in the air above the group, really, there were already books flying about the place, so what did it matter if some of them were a part of the group's performance.

Keeping half her focus on the books she joined in with the song, it hadn't even been Halloween yet, but this was already making her excited about Christmas. As the group entered another round of the song, Scarlet motion for the books to lower back to the table with her wand, wanting to put all her effort into the song.

Laughing all the way.
HAHAHA!

Without a thought, she joined in with Henry's swaying, placing her own arm around his shoulder in response, with everyone now singing, the noise that could imagine being heard throughout the library was louder than any she had known since starting at Hogwarts, and she loved it!
