Six hours. Six long hours. Well, it's been more than two hours since I've boarded the train and I barely felt the time pass, the rest of the trip will go by quickly he told himself, determined to ignore the protests in his stomach. The boy heard Emily mention an older brother, and history books. His absolute favorites. Yes! he exclaimed, genuinely happy to meet someone with the same interests. My mom taught me a lot about Wizarding History, and I love reading about it. I got a book about Hogwarts for my seventh birthday, and it's my favorite. I also learned a little about Muggle History, but there aren't that many books about it at home. From Muggle authors, I've read a lot of novels, which they call the "Classics". It means they're old, I think. Mom loves them. Most of them are actually good literature but, for me, nothing beats History. What's your favourite book? Marcus asked, catching a bit of air after he spoke nonstop and, in the blink of an eye, his hunger had become a distant thought.

It was great to finally find someone to talk with, and he hoped this new friendship could last a long time.

Emily looked around, thinking about everything that was happening. She first never realized but now, she did. It was still 6 hours, 6 hours, waiting for a train to arrive at Hogsmead station, that would eventually lead them to Hogwarts. Marcus was talking about his favourite book and she loved to hear it. It was interesting to hear someone's opinion about the Muggle world, who was also a Wizard but not a family member. "Pride and Prejudice, an novel. I fell in love with Literature because of Jane Austen. She was an amazing author. Her books. I think i know them out of my mind. If read them a thousand times. I got my first book of her when i was 9 i think, yes. At christmas. And then the other books just came in haha. I also spent to much time in the Library. The librarian knows to stay open a bit longer just for me. I like to read in silence, and calmt. So no one can disturb my thoughts." She said and turned around to grab her bag. She opened her bag and took out an old, dusty book. On the cover was writen



She handed the book over to Marcus. "Here, you can take a look if you want to, but dont mind my notes, i do that with every book i have" She said and smiled brightly.

Jane Austen. Marcus had heard of that name before, but had never read any of her books. The author was actually next on the boy's 'to read' list, when his father gave away most of the Muggle books from his private library last Christmas. The kid was still upset about it. So it was with great interest - and very carefully - that the boy picked up the old book and leafed through it for a few minutes, stopping a few times to read some paragraphs and Emily's notes. The boy found it curious - and was somewhat astonished - that the girl had "permission" to write in the books. All Marcus was allowed to do was writing some things on a little notebook, which was now in his luggage. I do that too, sort of. I have a notebook with quotes I can show you later, said the boy, as he closed Pride and Prejudice and handed it back to the girl, smiling back at her. He took a last second look to the book's cover, wiping off some of the dust.

It's cool you brought your favourite book with you, he said. I wish I had thought of that before putting everything on my luggage. Now I'm feeling empty handed, Marcus added, letting out a giggle.

Emily watched the boy reading throught the book, he handed it back over to her. She wondered what he though about it. She liked to know someone who was interested in the books too. She took the book and stared at it for a while. All the memories the book had. It was her first ever book she had recieved from her parents. They read it right before she went of to bed, she practically brought it with her everywhere. She putted the book bakc into her bag and looked at the boy again. And listened closely to what he had to say. "Thats cool, if i would have such a notebook, id loose it. My memorie is not so fantastic haha. I loose alot of things, and forget alot of things. Which is mostly the reason why i loose things, because i forget them. But i never forget my books and the stories." She said and smiles. "Well, i might find a new favourite when i visit the library at Hogwarts, if heard its huge, and it even has restiricted sectrions. And no worries, I just through i would sit alone in my compartment so i brought some stuff to keep myself occupied. Oeh that reminds me, do you wants some Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans?" She asked the boy and grabbed her bag again. She rattled in it for a while untill her hand came out of it with a small box.

She handed the box over to the boy and said: My dad works at the Mistery, so when he has time he goes to Diagon Alley to buy them. I also have some Chocolate Frogs if you want to?

Marcus' thoughts drifted away once more, at the girl's mention of the Hogwarts library. The boy was very excited about the whole school, but what he really wanted to see was the library. So many new books! New subjects to learn about! And a Restricted Section... the dark-haired boy knew that it was called Restricted Section for a good reason - most likely ancient Dark Magic books were on those shelves - but that didn't lessen his desire to one day get the authorization to go in there. Marcus' mind returned to the real world when once again his stomach rumbled, and he saw Emily holding a box of Every Flavour Beans towards him. He thought about refusing, as he had a certain "talent" for picking up unpleasant flavours most of the time, but, not wanting to be rude, he reached out and took not just one but two, and quickly brought them to his mouth.

Fortunately for him, this time the beans were of chocolate and mint flavours. A great mix, for a change.

Thanks. I guess I got lucky today, the boy said, with a chuckle.

Marcus didn't really believed in luck, and there were many years ahead of him, but things certainly were off to a good start as a Hogwarts student.

The boy grabbed the box and tried one of the beans, and he was lucky it was a good one. Emily liked them, altho ofcourse she didnt like to have some mud taste in her mouth, but mostly they where enjoyable. She grabbed a bean and she was also very lucky, strawberry flavour. She took one of her Chocolate frogs out of her bag and opened the box. "Oeh, i gor Merlin!" She said and smiled. She showed the card to Marcus and then putted it into her back. She turned back to face Marcus. Hey, do you have any siblings or? You know i have a brother, his name is Maximus, most people call him Max." She asked him and smiled. She looked around back out of the window, to follow the nature they where passing. She wondered how long it was still going to take. Time went fast, but she was too thrilled to sit at the Hogwarts table, meeting new friends, having classes and learn everything she was possible to learn. She turned bach to Marcus and asked him "In which house do you think you'll get sorted into? You think its the house you'll really belong into.

Uhh, no, I don't have any siblings. It's just me, mom and dad at home. I have a bunch of cousins on both sides, though, but I don't see them that much Marcus replied, not paying much attention to the chocolate frog card. He had some Merlins in his collection at home, so he was kind of tired of seeing his face. And then, after a while in silence, he heard Emily's voice, and the subject was, once again, the sorting. The boy was trying not to think about it, and it was working, but things tend to not stay away from his mind for too long. I do not know. As I said earlier, I want to go to either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, but the truth is... I honestly don't know. I have no idea where I'm going to fit in. Mom was a Badger and was the first Witch in her family, and Dad comes from a family full of Eagles, so both houses are in my blood, I guess he said, letting out an awkward laugh Can I have another bean? Marcus asked, in an attempt to change the subject.

They were still a couple hours away from Hogwarts, and the boy caught himself starting to check the time constantly.

Emily handed him the box of beans I have another box so your good, you can have it! She says and smiled. Her thoughts dwelmed off on what she would be doing first at Hogwarts. How their common room would look like, what her first lessons would be. For which class are you most excited?She asks him. I think flying will be cool tho, or History of Magic. I wonder which class we'll start of first. And how it will be. And thrilled to meet a ghost! They sounds quite interesting! Emily said and turned to face the window again. She watched the view hoping to be there soon. She was so thrilled for the new world that would be opening soon. But after a second the feeling of missing home bursted in. She had never been away for so long without her parents. Would they write her often? Would she be able to go home for christmas? Or did they want her to stay her first Christmas at Hogwarts? She looked back at Marcus and smiled to hide the missing feeling. How are the beans? No earwax yet? She asks him and laughs a bit, she had tasted earwax before, and it was not quite enjoyable.

Marcus grabbed the box of beans and immediately picked up a new bean. Phew, another good one, he said, more to himself than to Emily, as he tasted a buttered popcorn flavoured bean. It wasn't quite like the real thing, of course, but it tasted good, and that was enough for the moment. History of Magic, for sure. And transfiguration too. I really like that about magic, you know? Changing the form of things… He replied, lost in his thoughts for a brief moment as he picked up a second bean. Cinnamon, not so bad, he thought Ah! Thanks a lot for the box of beans, by the way, he added, smiling, doing his best to hide that, right after the cinnamon-flavoured bean, he'd picked one with a rather sour flavour. His smile didn't last long, however, and then Marcus said, at the same time he started coughing I think I just had an earthworm flavoured one. That's... Much worse.He coughed for almost a minute until he recovered from the awful taste. I'm sorry about that, he said, too embarrassed to look at his new friend. Silence reigned for some time, until the boy spoke again Uhh, it's getting dark... I guess we're close now. Maybe it's time to get changed, the boy said, as he got up and opened his suitcase to pick up the school robes.

Emily laughed a bit when he started coughing. Yes, those arent quite as enjoyable as the other once indeed. She said and laughed a bit more. Robes, Yes! Good idea, i almost forgot! Thankyou! She said and grabbed her robes. She changed into her robes and took a look at herself to see if she looked decent enough. She grabbed her scrunchie and made a pony tail in her hair. She wanted to look as decent as possible. She didnt want to start off on a wrong foot. She looked at Marcus and smiled. He had just finished getting changed too. You look very stunning! Emily said and smiled. A real jentleman i'd say. Emily said teasing him a bit. She laughed and smiled at him. For real, the robes suit you good! I like to tease people whenever i can, it is very enjoyable really. She said and looked through the door window to the other students. Now almost everyone was in robes too. Do you think the train will arrive soon? She asks Marcus. She takes another look and then returns to Marcus. She now left a bit stressed. The train was most likely almost about to arrive and it freaked her out a bit. She takes a deep berath and tries to stay as relaxed as possible.
