The awkwardness of Henry's fury secret being reveled to the others passed as Emily smiled and bubbly started a conversation.
The girl's bubbly personality and high energy was sort of getting on Henry's nerves but he hid this, the lad might not have liked her but he didn't want to ruin his brother's relationship... that he was happy in?
"I said the same thing when he passed and how he should be proud himself and celebrate like our friends," Emily replied to Pearl with a wide, airy smile as Arthur gave a soft smile and flustered a little clearly not liking the attention which Henry spotted and found odd of his elder brother.
"The night him and the others passed the exam, we all went out to celebrate but Arthur here refused to go. Determined to study and perapre for some assignment he's obsessive with," Emily continued and at the mention of a assignment, Arthur cleared his throat as he sat up and quickly spoke " my first assignment which is nothing, just uh preparing," Luke looked at his elder son with concern as Henry looked at his brother as well, he never heard him stutter or shy away from a conversation or group so he wondered what was happening with him.
Emily turned her head toward Arthur, red hair bobbing onto her shoulder as she spoke" not your first, it was a specific one that your hoping to be on, remember it was- the girl was cut off as Arthur placed a hand over hers and quickly spoke" no, it was to prepare for my first, Em." The two lock eyes, Arthur nodding toward her with focused eyes as Emilt shook her head a little, with a smile as she turned back toward Pearl and Luke.
Arthur tentatively sat back in his chair, catching up on his brother's body language the lad tapped his foot aginest his brother's underneath the table and nodded a little. Arthur brushed back a strand of hair and softly smile, placing a hand on Henry's shoulder squeezeing it once.
Henry still wondered what was wrong with his brother as Emily spoke"would you that for me, Mrs. Alluring? That would be glorious, thank you. I'm not use to others helping me so that would be great," the girl gave a twilinking smile toward Pearl as Henry watched the girl tap her fingers on the cake tin and push it toward the center of the table as she spoke" Yeah, I did. My mum owned a bakery and I use to help her decorate all the time although I'm surprised they came out so good since I haven't done it in years." Emily gave a smile toward the two adults, looking over at Arthur ad the two share a smile although Henry saw the difference between the two smiles. Arthur seemed a but awkward and tentative while Emily's is happy and bubbly and full of energy.
Henry carefully took a bite of pizza, feeling a fluff of fur aginest his leg. Henry looked down and saw Chaska sitting there rubbing aginest him, Loki gave the fellow a feline a low warning growl from his spot on Henry as the teen reached down and rubbed the feline's head for a moment before looking up and and listening to the conversation as Loki sat down on his lap.
"You house is lovely and this town is amazing, I never been to uh godric hollow before," Emily spoke as she directed her eyes toward the two adults, offering a small smile as the girl continued turning her attention to the children as she spoke" how do you, mates enjoy living here?
Must be fun, right?" Henry didn't feel like answering as he watch Emily attempt to grab Arthur's hand who abundantly stood and awkwardly spoke"I'm going to get some air," nodding toward the group and walking toward the door.
Opening then closing it. Luke stared at the door for a moment before looking at Pearl as Emily spoke" he's been strange ever since the auror exams, I guessed nerves about going on assignments and facing dark wizards. " Luke looked toward Pearl as Henry made a decision and stood up, feeling awkward the lad quickly spoke " need some air."
Loki jumped off his onwer, jumping back onto his chair and sitting there. Amber eyes peering at the table. Henry walked toward the door, opening and leaveing for outside then closing it.
Outside The House
"What's wrong?"
Henry asked walking toward his brother who leaned his arms on the railing of the porch, looking out silently. Henry joined his brother, looking out besides him when he heard his voice" I'm fine, merlin." Henry looked at Arthur and soft smile a bit as he spoke"your not the only one who can tell when somethings wrong, Art," Arthur looked up at Henry, playfully nudging his brother with his shoulder as the two shared a smile.

Something felt off between Emily and Arthur. He seemed to really not want to share his Auror information with his family. Rose had a feeling that his real Auror assignment was not what he had said it was, especially when he cut Emily off before she told his family about the assignment. Maybe he just didn't want his father to know? Maybe he wasn't supposed to share the information? Arthur seemed to be so cautious. Arthur was acting so strange. Usually so full of charisma, he seemed uncomfortable being here. Rose would have thought that Emily would have been one to cheer him up and help him relax, but he just seemed so tense. Was Emily making him feel more tense?
Something felt wrong.
Rose brushed it off. It was none of her business to stick her nose into Arthur's life. If he wanted to tell her, he would have. Plus, why would he have trusted Rose, over everybody that was there? She just needed to keep her nose out of his life. He was strong, like Henry. He would be fine.
Pearl smiled graciously. "Of course I can. Any friend of Arthur's is a friend of mine."
Rose really really doubted that if Pearl met all of Arthur's friends, they would be friends. But she restrained herself from saying that out loud.
"They came out amazing, thank you so much for bringing them," Pearl said, talking about the cupcakes
Out of Rose's sight, Chaska looked up at Loki as he growled at her. She shifted an inch away from him, giving Loki his space, but still guarding Henry. Her ears were perked up and listening, as if she was carefully trying to pick up any signs of danger. She kept an eye on Rose, too.
Emily made a comment on the house and on Godric's Hollow, to which Pearl thanked her. When she asked about Godric's Hollow, Gabe jumped in. "Well, we literally just moved here today, so we really haven't had time to make much of an opinion," he said, his voice a shade quieter than normal. He had laughed a little at the end and injected his normal cheer and a hint of sarcasm into his voice. He was being friendly to Emily. If Rose hadn't been paying attention, she wouldn't have noticed. But Gabe sounded so... tired. She knew she was tired and jet-lagged. Technically, where they had been, it should be four o'clock in the afternoon, but it felt like nine o'clock here, and they had just been on an eight hour flight. Rose really wanted to just go to bed, though she wasn't sure that she would be able to sleep, anyway.
The rest of the Moon children stayed quiet.
Arthur left, claiming he needed some air. Rose believed him, though she was curious why he was being so awkward. She hoped Arthur was okay.
Pearl smiled sadly, watching Arthur leave. "I'm sure he'll be fine," she reassured Emily. "So what got you into healing?"
Rose's eyes followed Henry as he said something similar to Arthur and left. Somehow, she doubted that with Henry, that was the actual reason. This was good. Henry would go and help Arthur to feel better, and then they would both feel better and she wouldn't have to stick her nose into anyone's business at all. Well, that's what she hoped would happen, at least.
Chaska had been tempted to follow Henry, and bounded after him a couple of paces. Rose saw her nearing the door, but before she could slip out, Rose snapped her fingers under the table, catching her cat's attention, but nobody else's. Pearl had jumped into another conversation with Emily, attempting to distract the young woman and make her feel more comfortable in her home. Rose shook her hand, signaling for the cat to leave them alone and come over to her. Chaska glanced at the door, then did so, laying on Rose's feet and watching the door.
Rose bit her lip. She hoped the both of them were okay. They would work it out, she hoped. If everything went well, they would help each other to feel better. Rose finished her pizza slice (she only ate one) and then slowly ate a cupcake. The cupcake wasn't bad, Rose just wasn't hungry.
"So, how long have you and Arthur been together?" Pearl was asking now.
Rose made eye contact with her mom and signed "May I be excused?" in British Sign Language. Gosh, she couldn't remember how long it had been since she had done that. When they were really little, their mother taught them sign language so they could communicate before they could talk. She remembered signing that when they were little, but never recently. Pearl simply nodded, then turned her gaze back on Emily.
The redhead stood, pushing her chair in. She took her dishes and washed them, setting them out to dry, and then left the room, going to sit on the steps. From the steps, she could see the door, and could hear it, too. If Henry came back in, she would know. If Rose wanted to, she could tune into Emily and Pearl's conversation, but she didn't want to. She just wanted to sit here, by herself. Chaska climbed up the stairs, and went to sit next to Rose, wrapping her tail around her and over her paws. Rose placed a hand on Chaska's shoulders.
Soon Rose was also joined by Gabe. He sat on the other side of Chaska, and the three of them sat there in silence for a moment. "You okay?" Rose asked.
"Just tired," he said quietly. "I know I shouldn't feel tired, since there should technically be several more hours in the day, but..." He trailed off, not finishing the thought. He sniffed, drawing his hand across his nose. "You okay?"
"I'm about the same as you," she murmured in reply. "Do you think Henry and Arthur are okay?"
Gabe shook his head. "No. All this change was so weird and strange and hard, but Henry had to do it all alone, away from everything he knew. At least we had each other, though."
Rose bit her lip, thoughtful. He wasn't wrong. "But I think they will be." She turned her head over to look at him. "They're strong. Even if they aren't right now, I know they will be."
Whether people gave him credit for it or not, Gabe could be a very calm and calculating person. But only around those he trusted. He liked being funny and cheery and sarcastic around most, but only if he really trusted you would he be quiet. Rose smiled. She felt glad she was among those trusted.
One day, Henry would be, too. It was all a matter of time.

Outside the house
The two brothers stood on the porch, leading on the railing. The sun wasn't shining higj in thr sky anymore and there's a cool breeze.
Henry took a breath, looking over at his brother as he asked"so?" Arthur looked over to him, offering a half smile as he replied"should I go first or you?" Henry smiled a little at his brother's comment, they both held a special bond wirh each other. Closer than brother's. They knew when the other was feelimg down or strssed out or had something on thier mind. It was strange.... how connected they were.
Henry turned his eyes away from his brother, lookimg ahead as he took a breath. Where to begin? The lad watched the nearby tree in the breeze, watching the squirrels run up and down with sma brida glistening in the wind near them. Henry took a breath, looking down for a momenr before bring his eyes back up as he spoke"you."
Arthur nodded, looking ahead not daring to look at his brother. They both took a breath. The elder brother squeezed his lightly shakey hands together a little as he spoke"when I passed thr auror examinations, I know I was suppose to be happy but I couldn't stop thinking about- about." Arthur didn't need to finish his words, his thoughts for to understand. To know what his brother meant and is talking about.
"Mum."
The single word escaped from Henry's mouth, turning to look at Arthur who lowered his head. Letting his hair fall to his eyes as he looked back at his yoing brother nodding slightly. The two stood in silence for a moment, memories from years back flooded their minds.
Arthur shook back his hair, both brother's turned to look forward once more. Blue and Hazel eyes looking out, out at a village that they use to know. That they hse to call home...
Arthur looked down for a moment before reverting his gaze upward as he spoke"all I could think about was mum becoming a auror and that night, I couldn't stop myself from worrying. Wondering what if someone comes after me because of a assignment, what if they target me. Or you or Emily or father or... or..." Henry lived through plently of panic attacks to know what they look like, usually Arthur helped Heney deal with them but that night it is the other way around as Henry placed a hand on Arthur's shoulder. Firmly holding it.
"Breath. In and out." Henry spoke Arthur's advice to him, the elder brother took breaths. In through his nose and out through his mouth. Lasting a few moments. Once Arthur was calm, he looked over at Henry nodding a bit with a smile. Slightly thanking his little brother. Henry nodded back as he spoke"could I ask what the assignment is?"
Arthur looked over at his brother, leaning his back on the rail as he spoke"a dark wizard known for crimes aginest muggles, nothing much," Henry nodded toward his brother removing his hand from his shoulder as he took a step from the railing.
Arthur looked at his brother as Henry looked through one of the windows at the dining room. He couldn't see Rose or Gabe anymore, Loki would jump from his chair and go sit on a few steps below the two moon children on the stairs unknown to Henry.
The two brothers could see Emily smiling and rattling on. How her and Arthur met in their fifth years then became a couple in thier seventh now living together with 4 other guy room mates who all are aurors.
Henry looked back at Arthur with a smile as he spoke"do you actually love her or is she just a friend?" Arthur laughed a little at his brother, knowing exactly what Henry is doing as he replied"you get use to her, now what's wrong?"
Henry looked over at his brother, unsure where to say as he moved from on herl to the other. Arthur picking up on his younger brother's nerves held out his arms and pulled Henry over to him, holding him tight around the shoulders with one arm.
Henry leaned aginest his older brother and the railing as he spoke"the recent thing is father tokd them all my fury secret, I'm not angry but he could have told me he was telling them that night or... or... did it differently or... or..." Arthur squeezed his brother's shoulders a little, Henry calmed down as he listened to his brothers words.
"He's learning and they would have to find out sometime."
Henry took a breath, he knew that he had to go in back soon but it felt relaxing being with his brother. His older brother was always there for everywhere, he put others before himself and protected them with his life. Arthur usually saying that helping others is easier than helping himself.
Henry knew he would do the same for Rose like he did for him all these years.
"Can we wait before going back inside?"
"Only a moment more."

Rose and Gabe didn't know the happenings of outside the new Moon-Knight house. Or maybe it was the Knight-Moon house. Or maybe you had to throw Alluring in there since-
Anyway. They didn't know what Henry and Arthur were talking about, but it made the both of them feel better that Henry and Arthur were out there together. They weren't just out there by themselves, feeling not okay. They were together. Rose had a feeling that Henry didn't need her, even though she did need him. She would probably find some way to survive without him, if he did end up dying, or running away. But it would take a long time for her to recover. She felt like the same would happen with Henry, him needing time, but he was just so much stronger than her. He didn't need her. He barely needed anybody.
Rose stroked Chaska's neck absentmindedly as the two siblings and the two felines sat on the steps. Loki had joined them, though he wasn't sitting as close as they were. Rose was okay with that. If he wanted space, he could have space. If he wanted to sit with them, they were here.
Maybe that's the attitude she should take with Henry, she thought. She did feel a little bad comparing Henry to a cat, but the concept applied. If Henry wanted her, she was here. She would always be here to listen, to love, with a hug and a word that validated him. But if he didn't want her, she wasn't going to stick her nose where it didn't belong. Henry could take care of himself.
She shook her head a little bit, looking down at her hand in her lap. Not that he should. He was only thirteen years old, for Merlin's sake! He was barely older than she was. Yet he had matured far beyond his age. She was sure that if he had the financial means, he could take care of himself right now. Rose probably could, too, not that she wanted to. In some ways, Rose felt like maybe Henry never got a childhood. At the age of seven, his innocence was ripped away from him and he was thrust into the real world. Which wasn't fair. Most kids got to have a steady introduction to the real world through their parents. What the truth was. What some people were like. And then they were able to enjoy their innocence while being slowly equipped for life. They had support from parents, aunts, uncles, friends, grandparents.
Henry had been grabbed by the throat and pushed down into the huge cold lake of life and hurt before he even learned how to swim. It wasn't fair to him. Maybe he was strong enough to take care of himself, but that didn't mean that he didn't deserve people to support him along the way and hold him up. Rose swallowed hard, a spark of fury in her stomach. It wasn't fair, it wasn't fair, it wasn't fair.
She wrapped her hands around her stomach, taking her hand off of Chaska. She felt a little sick, though she wasn't sure why. She had the impulse to stand up and fight whatever world thought this was okay. A sharp right hook to the jaw. Did his father think it was okay to just announce that Henry was a werewolf, as if that made him infectious? As if they should be careful around him. It was preposterous. Did his father think it was okay to just get married without asking him? Did his father think it was okay for him to disappear? Did the world think it was okay to leave a child without his mother?
What in the world made any of this okay?
What made her mom think it was okay to not tell her kids she was even dating anyone? What made her mom think it was okay that any of this was okay? What had ripped her father away from her and thought that was okay?
But she gripped, with her heart, to what Gabe had said.
No, maybe they weren't okay. But someday they would be. Someday, somehow, they would be okay. If only for a moment or two, one day they could all be okay.
They had to make it for those little moments. That moment of a smile, a bliss. Even if only lasted a day. An hour. A minute. A second. They had to fight for everything they had.
Rose inhaled a deep breath, then pushed it out.
"I think they will be, too," Rose said to Gabe, though it had been several moments since he had said this. Then, she repeated, quieter, "I think we will be."

The two brothers leaned on the railing together, night crawling those the two as moments passed.
Henry leaned aginest his brother, taking a breath. It was quiet. A perfect moment. The two stared at the sky, waiting for the first stars to become visible in the sky.
Burning above. Henry looked at the stars, it is a beautiful sight but it also brought on a powerful memory. The night of thr attack. When everything changed. Henry allowed his eyes to drift down, his blue gaze cloudy with the memory.
"Come on, we should go back inside."
Arthur's voice in his ear. Henry looked up ans saw his brother's gaze, instantly the teej knew that his brother knew what went through his mind at that moment. One last look at the twinkling stars then Arthur wrapped his arm around Henry's shoulders and Henry stretched his arm around his brother as the two apporched the door not expecting to find anyone there.
Closing the door behind themselves, Arthur still with his arn around Henry while Henry allowed his to drop. The two turned and saw in front of them, sitting on thr steps of the stairs. Two felines, Gabe and Rose. Henry has hoped for a few more minutes of quiet with his brother as his ears picked up the noise from the dining room.
Emily chatting away about healers and her relationship with Arthur and life as a muggleborn. Henry tuned it out as he looked over at the two, Loki getting to his paws and walking over to the two brothers. The orange feline sat at their feet, giving a short meow to each as Arthur spoke"you two had enough of the chatter to then?" Henry leaned aginest his brother, the age difference present but rarely noticed. The teen saw his brother as his brother, his best friend and didn't find majority situations or conversations weird with him.
Arthur eyes the dining room, light flooded out from the area along with noise and chatter. Henry met Arthur's eyes, the two silently taking a guess that Emily and Pearl filled majority of the noise that night as the two turned their eyes back to the on the steps. Well three counting Chaska. Hazle and Blue. Different yet matching met the blonde and redhead.
"I know, Emily already asked but have you mates looked around yet?" Arthur asked, remembering the times that he once called the village home and awaking the memories within Henry from all those years ago. When he was human and also after. After that night. Henry felt Arthur squeeze his shoulders a little as he spoke"there's plenty to see here and keep you occupied from certain situations," a nod toward the dining room and Henry understood what his brother is referring to.

sorry about that)
Rose saw the front door open, and Henry and Arthur come inside. A little bit of relief rushed in her as she realized they were both fine. Arthur's arm was around Henry, and they walked together. They must have walked together like that often- it looked almost natural to them. Rose knew that she would definitely need some practice before doing that- she would be tripping over both her feet and the feet of the other person. Holding hands she could do. That didn't necessarily mean you were next to each other. But putting your arms around each other? Well, that was much closer. Rose knew that Henry and Arthur shared a bond that she would never know how close they were.
She saw them notice her and decide to not go into the dining room, approaching them instead. Arthur asked them if they had gotten enough of the chatter, too, implying that they themselves had gotten enough of the chatter. Rose nodded, leaving it at that. Maybe it went a little farther for them like it did for her, but she didn't really feel like talking about that right now, especially not with Arthur around. Rose replied, saying softly, "Yeah."
Rose honestly wasn't sure what to think of Arthur quite yet. He was a good man, as far as she could tell, and she was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, even if she didn't trust him yet. It was mostly because he was a new person and she hadn't the chance to make a calculated decision on Arthur. Henry, she knew, held him in highest standards, and he was incredibly polite and nice to Rose, save for that one time where she had made a joke and neither of the boys had seemed to quite get it. She would let that slide, however, since she assumed it was most likely her fault anyway. But there was something about Arthur's friends that made her uncomfortable. She always felt like something bad would happen when she encountered Arthur's friends, even if it was mostly only the one time. But they had, after all, offered two kids, one not even a teenager yet, a drink! And Rose doubted they were serving chocolate milk. Her one hesitance about Arthur was why he even hung around those kinds of people. Given the chance, they would hurt Henry, and Rose just couldn't stand the thought of that. Rose knew she didn't have the whole picture. Maybe he didn't know how to stop being friends with them, or maybe they were different people before they had several drinks. But Rose just hoped with all her heart he wouldn't let them near Henry.
"Mom sure can talk up a storm," Gabe said, a small smile appearing on his face. It had meant to be a joke, but there was just the slightest hint of bitterness in his voice, as if even he didn't enjoy his mother's talking sometimes. Rose knew her mother was only being polite, but if prompted, she could talk a lot. Maybe too much. Rose thought back to the night that Luke proposed to Pearl, how he had kept asking her questions and she had answered, long winded and elaborate. Gabe's voice was also quieter than it normally was, matching the softness of Rose's usual voice. So those who had never heard him be quiet, it might be a little surprising.
Rose stood up, taking Chaska into her arms as she did, and Gabe did the same. Arthur continued, asking them if they had walked around yet. Gabe replied, "No, we haven't, actually. I've been wanting to, though." The redhead had never talked to Gabe about Godric's Hollow. Maybe she should have known that he would have thought it was just as cool as she did.
Henry commented that there was plenty to see around the Hollow, to distract them from "certain situations." Rose honestly wouldn't mind being distracted. Henry and Gabe had both always had a talent of distracting her. Sometimes with Gabe, she didn't want to be distracted, but that didn't mean he didn't have a wonderful talent of doing it, anyway.
"Would you two mind being our tour guides?" she asked the boys, and Gabe nodded with enthusiasm. Apparently he thought that was a wonderful idea. Even by the stairs, Emily and Pearl were still loud, talking and talking. Maybe they could escape for a while, outside.
If they agreed to it, Rose and Gabe would begin following them, Rose saying, "Lead the way."

The two brothers share a close bond, onw closer than most siblings. One forged over death and bad situations. Before the attack- when their birth mum was still alive the two were close.
Close like any brothees would be. Siding with each other over siding with their sister. Playing wrestling and causing mischief around their home during holidays. During those days all three Knight siblings were close, laughing and having fun together. Those days seemed immoral.
After the attack. Well Anna shut down, missing her mum and blaming anyone that she could. Luke allowed work to take up his time, abandoning his children when they needed him because he couldn't get past his own emotions. Henry and Arthur found peace in thr silence- they found each ither in the chaos and comforted each other in times of need. In times of saddness and stress. Secretly promising to each other to always be there for each other. And so the bond grew and strengthen through the years.
Standing there, arm around Arthur. Henry's gaze remained on Gabe and Rose. It seemed humorous to him how different siblings have different bonds, differnt relations. Arthur's arm around Henry, nodding to the two as they lightly talked.
Loki rubbed aginest the two brothers legs. Sitting between the two, amber eyes gazing over the situation.
"Well in that case we might be here a few hours," Arthur replied to Gabe's comment about talking about a storm. The two brother have a soft voice, usually the quiet types. Listening and refraining themselves from shouting. In a smaller group situation, Arthur has a louder voice than usual with a prominent smile contrasting Gabe's now softer voice.
The two seemed to want to look around Godric Hollow rather than go back inside the dining room and listen to chatter. Henry eyed Arthur for a moment, catching the older's boy glance at the dining room and nervous squeeze on Henry's shoulder that lasted for a moment before Arthur covered it up with his wide smile as he spoke"it looks like we have time for a quick tour," Henry tapped his foot aginest Arthur's who nodded oncr toward Henry. A secret language between the two that they developed for years, at least since the attack all those years go.
"Shall we go then?"
Henry asked as he moved toward the door, the two brothers separating as they pulled on their trainers. Arthur opened the door, holding it opened for the others to leave first.
Loki followed the group, walking besdies Henry as he walked onto the porch waiting for the others.
Arthur would join after everyone left before him, shutting the door then taking a spot next to Henry to stand. The two brothers eyes each other for a moment then Henry spoke"the potter house first then?" Arthur placed a hand on his younger brother's shoulder as he jumped in and spoke"then the statue?" The two ping ponging ideas off of each other for this tour of godric hollow for Gabe and Rose.
"Then the graveyard."
"The church is always a good place to visit."
"The tree with the bowtruckles then."
"The fort then."
"The fountain then."
"Anything that you mates wants to see?"

Gabe grinned in response to Arthur's comment. Arthur approved of the tour. She knew that gave her, Henry, and Gabe an excuse and an escort to leave the loud house. "Come on, princess," she murmured to the fluffy cat, walking away from the stairs and going out of the house.
The group of six left the house, Arthur closing the door behind them. Two cats, four humans, one of whom was a werewolf. For some reason, Rose felt a steady feeling of relaxation. She felt... safe. The panic that she had felt earlier dissipated as she left the house and was in quiet company once again.
Everything was going to be okay. Surrounded by her brothers, Rose knew everything was going to be okay. Even if it wasn't all the time, right now, they were tentatively okay. And that was going to be enough for now. Rose smiled. It was enough for now.
The two Knight kids began bouncing ideas off of each other. Rose realized that for somebody who had wanted to live in Godric's Hollow for as long as she could remember, Rose really didn't know about the place. Maybe that's why it was good they had tour guides. They consulted their... was there a word for who a tour guide is guiding? Their clients? They consulted their siblings, asking Rose and Gabe if there was anything else that they wanted to see, other than what they had mentioned.
Rose smiled, shaking her head. "All of that sounds great. Off to the Potter's House, then?" she asked, following the Knight boys' lead. Chaska bounded after them, occasionally batting at Loki and darting away. Most of the time, however, she stayed trotting by Rose's side.
"So how long did you guys live here before you left for Liverpool?" Rose asked, hoping that the topic wouldn't strike any bad feelings with the boys. She knew they had a lot of trauma in their past about their Mom dying and then their father moving them away from everything they knew. She didn't want to bring up those memories if the boys didn't want to talk about them, but she wanted to make conversation and give them an opportunity to talk about it if they wanted to. "I'm sure you guys have a lot of memories from this place," she murmured, glancing over to them.
They arrived at the Potter House. Rose looked up. Wow. So this was where it had all happened, huh? Where, for the first time, somebody had survived a killing curse. It always amazed Rose how it wasn't the greatest wizard of all time that survived the killing curse. It wasn't by his own power. No, it was a little baby. Left only with a scar.
That's what they said, anyway. Rose didn't know if that was true. How could she know? She wasn't there. "Wow," she whispered. "There certainly is a legacy to this place," she said quietly.

A group of four- well three kid- actually one tween, two teens, and one young adult alomg with two cats bounded forward across the darkness of the grassy lawn and pass the nearly identical houses that laid on the same street as their own.
Walking down the street of the wizarding community, darkness loomed on ahead and around them. Swallowing the group and allowing them to fade into the shadows, it would be easily to be looked over... to be forgotten.
Arthur slipped his wand from his jacket pocket, aiming the piece of wood ahead as the young adult spoke"lumos," a small ball of light formed at the end of his wand as the group walked. Loki walked besides his onwer, talimg flickerinf im the air and amber eyes peering into the illuminated sceen ahead.
They both nodded at the suggestion to start at the potter house, Henry remembered the old
and crumbling house. Remembering years ago never knowing what to think when he viewed it, where a legacy and story was born. History is covering that town and yet the feeling could be daunting to some.
Arthur held his wand in front to light the distance in front as he spoke" after the house, we should vist the statue then," at the next question the two looked at each other. Henry widen his eyes and tap his hand to his neck oncd, a sign to let Arthur know that he didn't want to answer. Watching as his brother nodded before speaking"I lived here for 16 years. Henry and Anna loved here for 10 years," Henry fiddled with the ends of his shirt as he walked toward the crumbling house. Arriving at the rumle, flashing once to reveal it's true nature as the sign slowly rose, telling the story and the messages and signatures from those who visited for years on end.
Henry spotted his brother's, twin's, Scarlet's, and his own from years past. The teen eyes thr scribbles, Arthur nodded as he spoke"voldermort varnished and Harry Potter was born, hard to believe that he would murder," Henry didn't exactly believe thr stories that the famous Harry Potter would murder someone without reason. He saved the wizarding world, didn't he? The teen thought there had to be a reason for the following as he looked at the two and spoke"would you two like to add your signature to the sign?" slipping the pocket knife that his brother gave him last birthday and holding it out for the two.

Rose made sure to memorize the look of their house as they walked away from it. The houses looked so similar around here. She was sure she could use the phone in her back pocket if they got lost, either to call somebody that did know where the house was, or was in the house. It would really suck if they got lost. She was sure with Henry and Arthur being as smart as they were and with Henry's abilities, they wouldn't get lost. She told herself to relax. She was just being paranoid.
As Chaska kept step with her, Rose watched her surroundings as she walked through Godric's Hollow. Arthur suggested visiting the statue after they visited the house. "That's a good idea," she said. At her next question, Henry didn't say anything, though Rose wasn't looking at him as he signaled to his brother that he didn't want to talk about it. Rose nodded at his answer. Henry had lived here for a long time. Arthur even longer. It was definitely going to be surreal to them to be here again. They hadn't been here in, what? Two years? Three? And now they were back. Henry was going to be living here.
Strange how that happened sometimes.
Rose watched as the sign rose from the ground. The messages carved into it and the words on the sign were a part of deep history. There were words from the 20th century, and words that were only from years ago. Arthur made a comment about Harry Potter and him murdering someone. Rose didn't pay much attention to the news. She supposed at times it was interesting, but really, people hyped up situations that they had no clue about and sent it out for people to read. But just because Rose lived under a rock didn't mean that she hadn't heard the rumors that Harry Potter had gone bad. A part of her didn't believe it. A part of her didn't want to believe it. But on the other hand, fame could sometimes get to your head, even if you had a pure heart to begin with.
Henry offered his pocket knife to Gabe and Rose, asking if they wanted to add their names. Gabe would accept the knife and shrug, saying, "Why not?" He stepped towards the sign, opened the pocket knife, and started to carve his name.
"Not sure if Gabe can be trusted with a knife." Rose crossed her arms, her eyes revealing that she was just teasing him.
Gabe glanced back as he finished, a messy carving of the words "Gabe Moon" in the sign. "I see you guys' signatures," he said, running a hand over where Henry's was. He handed the pocket knife to Rose.
She turned the knife over in her hands, once, a debate going on in her brain. She didn't live here. She didn't feel any connection to this place, at least not yet. Nothing like the connection Henry and Arthur would feel to this place. Did she deserve to have her name carved in the sign?
Why not?
She stepped forward, though her carving lacked the messiness Gabe's had. Rose Moon, in much more elegant letters. Should she write an encouragement for Harry Potter, like others had? Maybe something encouraging him to hold onto good? No, Rose left it at that. A small and elegant carving of her name. She closed the pocket knife and handed it back to Henry. "Thanks," she said quietly, taking a step back to look at the sign. It was like a piece of history.
She watched the ruins in respect to its history. "This is pretty cool, I'm not gonna lie," she said. It was cool to be standing here, where they may have stood- the people who had caused a war.
