Odette hated crying. She hated giving them the satisfaction. She usually didn't cry when this happened. Today had already started off badly with her adopted parents. They criticised her all morning so it had already stressed Odette out. She tended to try to keep quiet about what happens at school because it would probably give them more fuel to add to the fire.

Odette turned her head towards Aravis when she began speaking to her. "Honestly, how dare they be so rude to you. They don't know what's good for them. Those insolent foul-mouthed coxcombs have no room to speak. Now, they didn't hurt you did they?" The young black haired girl spit out as if they were evil. Odette shrugged, of course they hurt her. Whether it was physical or not. She didn't care what anyone said. Words could hurt just as much. "I only have a scrape on my chin today so that's a plus. Better than last time," she chuckled sadly.

Shaking her head, she sat straight up and decided not to think about it at the moment. Whether it happens a few hours or days from now it always happens. The only comfort is her room where she isn't around her parents or the mean children from school.
