A wizarding Indian reservation hidden in the Winds, said to be the home of the last "free Indian". Headquarters of the Sun Wolf agricultural empire that branches across the States, much of the Village's wealth goes to charity in support of Native American culture and nature reserves, working closely with the Wind River Indian Reservation. Little has changed their way of life in the Rockies as they did hundreds of years ago.

A vast expanse corralled by enchanted mountains, its remote location serves as a sanctuary for flying magical creatures, including winged horses. Nearly half of its residents are No-Majs and Squibs, though isolation of its population and careful indoctrination of magic have worked to keep the Village within the bounds of Secrecy.

The wolf is the most sacred creature to the Village. To become a wolf Animagus is highly desirable.

The Mountains

A region of mountains, also called the Capital. Home to the royal family of Warclouds who govern Sun Wolf Village. Said to be where the "true people" dwell in connection with their Native American ancestors. While English is widely picked up by ear, most conservatives refuse to speak it as a symbol of nonconformity to European colonization, communicating instead through American Sign Language.

Beluga Wave “Blue”

Bred and foaled at Sun Wolf Village, Blue's birth in the same year as Jayden was taken as a sign by Jayden that the two of them were meant to be together. Though she knew him all her life, helping raise and ride him; on paper, she officially became Blue's owner in the summer of 2019, as a gift from her parents for completing her first year at Ilvermorny. Registered under his show name, Beluga Wave, he was trained to compete at an international level. He is stabled at Sun Wolf Village.

Eslinger farm ❖ Sun Wolf Village (Outskirts)

Jayden and her brother were born at the Eslinger farm, their parents farmworkers here, living with the Eslingers who raised them up as family. Mules are the main transport and pack animal on the farm, being hardier and more sure-footed for the mountainous terrain than horses.

One of the first European wizarding families to settle in Sun Wolf Village in the 1600s, the Eslingers became prominent leaders of the Village's European community that drifted away from the Capital to form their own settlements across Sun Wolf territory. Many Eslingers sit on the Village council, as close friends and confidants of the Warclouds.

Zeuximides “Sun Wolf” of Hyrie

A Greek wizard who arrived in America in the 6th century. An ambassador to the natives, who called him Sun Wolf, he married a Shoshone witch and began a new life with a Tukudeka band, as one of their own – a wise and powerful warrior, and eventually their leader. Settling in the Wind River Range, he erected the foundation of a village upon what would become the Capital of Sun Wolf Village, home to a small Native American wizarding population, as well as Sun Wolf's burial ground, later named in his honor.

A known Animagus, Zeuximides could transform into a wolf, with golden blond fur and amber eyes – the inspiration behind his name, Sun Wolf. His legacy further elevated the wolf as the most sacred animal of Sun Wolf Village.

Through the Village's extensive genealogy archives, Jayden is recorded as one of Sun Wolf's descendants, the Golden Heirs – an unbroken line tracing all the way back to Sun Wolf from firstborn to firstborn. While Sun Wolf was chief, he did not support a monarchy, and so passed the title over his own children, choosing his successor based on merit rather than by birth. Eventually the Golden Heirs married outside of the Village and beyond, adopting various surnames across many countries over the centuries, before migrating back to America.

War Cloud

Of Shoshone descent, born in Sun Wolf Village. During his reign, War Cloud ordered the construction of a labyrinth carved by magic, burrowing deep into the mountains upon which the Village stood, as a means to conceal themselves from European expansion and the removal of Native Americans from their homeland. The labyrinth proved to be an invaluable fortress, as War Cloud rallied the Village into hiding at the time of Rappaport's Law, becoming the first chief to rule the underground. Sun Wolf Village became an oasis for many wayward and persecuted souls, a sanctuary to the European wizarding community as well. Under MACUSA, the Village retained its tribal sovereignty, secluded from the modern world.

He is distantly related to both of Jayden's parents, as far as the convoluted pure-blood web goes. His direct descendants, the Warclouds, continue to inherit the chiefdom, pruning a pure-blood line of which Jayden was groomed into a potential bride for. They honor Sun Wolf and seek to unite the Golden Heirs with the Warcloud family, believing the union to bring good fortune and prosperity for the Village.

Leslie Holt

Ilvermorny (Wampus) graduate. Licensed Auror. Like his father, Leslie served as eyes and ears for MACUSA as an NYPD detective, and was tragically killed in a No-Maj shootout. His death affected his older brother deeply, convincing Jason to raise his family in a more rural location, away from the big-city violence.

Gareth Holt

The third and youngest child of Jaxon and Doris Holt. Ilvermorny (Wampus) graduate. Licensed Obliviator for MACUSA, Gareth works undercover as an FBI agent, frequently traveling the world. He and his family live with his parents, sharing the Holt apartment. He is married to a Muggle-born woman named Lauren, a book author. Gareth and Lauren opted not to have children of their own, instead adopting two half-blood brothers, Liam and Connor.

Desmond Holt

Sidelined by the pure-blood community, Desmond changed his surname to Holt to better blend in among No-Majs when he came to New York in 1945. He worked several odd jobs in warehouses, maintenance and construction, before securing a position in law enforcement as an NYPD police officer. His family-arranged marriage to Jacqueline, also a pure-blood Squib, restored the magical line with the birth of Jaxon, although their other child, Marjorie, turned out to be a Squib.

Raised among the No-Maj community, Jaxon greatly admired his father's blue collar life, desiring to join the NYPD as a means to help No-Majs and wizards alike.

Albin Eslinger

Albin lived at the Eslinger farm with Jayden. A farmworker and one of the prominent Eslingers who sat on the ruling council of Sun Wolf Village. Jayden adored him as a grandfather figure, and inherited his violin shortly before he died. His great-great-granddaughter in-law is Jaxon's niece, though is related to Jayden in more ways than one, besides marriage, given the intricateness of pureblood family trees.
