Of Minstrels and Misfortune
As Dakota listened to Chiadovini she kept her head tilted. She wanted to respond to his words as now her thoughts swirled with idea. Of course there were better ways. the thoughts that raced through her mind were answers to the professor questions. Though, when he questioned Dakota on overcoming her past she shook her head lightly, she may not brood but she focused a lot on her past, her heritage, even her father after they found a old box of his things. No, Dakota wasn’t truly over her past, she just hoped one day she would be. Though there was one thing Dakota wanted to answer aloud “sometimes, you need someone else to help you think rationally or see reason. Whether that be in the face of sorrow, anger, jealousy, or possibly, adventure sometimes humans need a bit of help from one and other.” as she finished her sentence she nodded and took the parchment paper she was handed yet again “this won’t happen again, Professor.” as she spoke she was making her way over to stand by Aldor and Macbeth. When Chiadovini had finished with the last Hufflepuff, even Dakota had been listening to that, she watched as his owl perched on his arm. She was half listening to his words now, thinking over what just happened and how tired she felt. When they were escorted out the classroom and down the hall Dakota yet again fell silent, watching the ground as she tapped her fingers along the front of her leg. But, of course, once they reached the Hufflepuff door, all Dakota did was murmur a goodnight to the professor and other students before slipping inside.wc: 279@Winter Wolfhartz
