Vivian smiled in amusement when she heard Lily saying blunt. Actually, she was, or at least Vivian thought she was. Looking at Lily, she was so surprised that she was both straightforward and friendly at the same time. Well, she was kind-hearted too that made Vivian’s heart melt, she smiled at her brightly showing her dimples to her. But... it was scary at the same time. Exterminated? Was she going to enter a place where these kinds of people live? She panicked at the thought tho she is a half-blood. Feeling the urge to ask Lily “Is- is it just muggles o-or ...the same goes to half-bloods?” she stammered with hesitation.

As Lily started explaining about Hogwarts houses, Vivian looked intensely with wide eyes, so that she could get everything inside her head. When she started saying the names of the houses, Vivian tried to memorise the name, not knowing whether it would be successful or not. But tried her best to get the names inside her head. “ Depending on my character? How?” she asked her with her eyes full of surprise and curiosity.

All the members in her family got sorted into Rav- Raven-? what was that? She forgot. Does everyone one her family has the same character? Her urge to ask this question stopped as soon as she thought that might be rude to ask but asked “If it depends on our character,... what do you think about me? Where will I get sorted?” rather with the same curiosity.

Good question. Straight answer? Or an elaborate and possibly wrong answer? Elaborate and possibly wrong answer. The straight answer is that I don't know. I really don't know. I know what I have seen, read, heard. So the so-called stupid muggles. My guess is... Is her mother or father who is a wizard already? Anyway, my guess is that her muggle parent is maybe being teased.
- So, first of all, I'm not 100 per cent sure of my answer. I don't think you're going to get teased and stuff, but your muggle parents will. Well, I think so.

- Depending on my character? How?
I just explained the names of the houses. She wants to know. I can see it in her eyes. I understand her. I would have been the same in her place. Except you're not. You're not like her. You're a Pure Blood and you should ignore it. I frown. Who said anything? I know it's a voice in my head. A voice that doesn't like muggles. I've never heard it before. It's weird. But I have to answer Vivian.
- From what I understand, it's a magic hat that studies your character to put you in the house that suits you best.
- If it depends on our character,... what do you think about me? Where will I get sorted?
Good question. I've only known Vivian for one day. And you'd better not know her... So I don't know her character very well. But I think I have an idea. She seems loyal. When I look at her, that's the first thing I see. A... A Hufflepuff? You're not gonna be friends with that? She looks like Zoey, my cousin. She'd say the same thing...
- I haven't known you very long. So don't be too surprised if what I say turns out to be wrong. I think you could go to Hufflepuff. The house of justice and fairness.

Vivian was relaxed after knowing that there was not a high chance for her to get bullied, she didn’t want to get bullied again, once more in her life. It was not like before, she would have just studied at a school for about two years, not more than that, but here, she has to study for seven years, she has to survive here till another seven years. Being aware that she wasn’t entering a safe place, she was here at her own risk, she thinks she would change here. Acquiring the change in herself she wanted is her main motive now. Unlike before, she is not going to be alone now, at least she thought she wouldn’t be alone. Her mother was not entering Hogwarts, it was her so she thinks he can handle things. She smiled at Lily in relief.

“A magic hat!? It decides!? But how!?” She leaned towards Lily with her eyes wider with curiosity, the only thing that can make the blonde forget that she is nervous, panicky and scared is her curious nature. Wanting to know about the place she is entering, “it studies me!? How!? Is it like a personality test?” she knows she is asking so many questions but she can’t control her urge to ask, her mind now is filled with lots of questions and curiosity.

“Hufflepuff” she mouthed when Lily explained. She somehow liked the name and her instinct said that she belongs there but she can’t be sure, she was not a person who believes in their instinct and even Lily was not sure about her prediction.

Questions that have complex answers that Lily doesn't necessarily know. You are wasting your time with her. Go somewhere else! No, I don't want to. I'm staying here. Vivan's questions are... So, it’s something similar to a personality test, Vivian looked through the window, thoughtfully. Well, Lily is a first year as well, she cannot expect answers for all her questions from her but Lily really helped the blonde, she was thankful and turned away from the window with a smile. In just a few hours, she’d herself get answers for all her questions, maybe not all but some and she was waiting for that moment, the moment she gets inside Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Her hands quivered in nervousness, excitement and.... fright, she could feel the chillness in her body but she can deal with anything, right? She hopes she can.

When Lily again talked, it was like a diversion for the blonde and it relieved her, the blonde chortled at the thought of singing, it would’ve definitely confused Lily and she was aware of it but she couldn’t control her laughter, she stopped and replied with a slight smile and narrowed eyes, “a passion.... I like to dance but that’s not my passion... I like weightlifting, would that count as a passion” she tilted her head, “I don’t know, I’d do anything that piques my interest” she smiled, “So, you? What d’you like to do?” she smiled as she raised both her eyebrows.

Vivian assumed it was just a few hours from now that they would arrive, so she wanted to be ready, after all it was her first time, at least now she has to punctual, she got up from her seat, “Okay Lily, I’ll go change my clothes” she informed her as she left to change into school robes. Her eyes were so tired from the lack of yesterday’s sleep when she was back again. As she sat down her eyelids were drooping, she knows that she needs some sleep. Not saying anything to Lily, she closed her eyes as she rested her head on her trunk beside her. Well, it was not a comfortable position, she could feel the stretch in her waist but she didn’t move. Slowly all the thoughts that occupied her mind vanished letting her have a good kip.
