A Magical Start.

He smiled while she talked about not being alone on the train anymore, and he was genuinely excited. he really never had many friends, most just laugh at him
“By the way, are from Scotland? I’m just judging by your accent...I’m from Scotland too.” he nods politely while she talks ``Yes i am actually! im from uhhhh..uhm...Kilmacolm. yeah.
``he stumbles over his words. again. ``i used to work at a bakery with my parents a bit before I got my letter for uhm pigwarts? no no, it was Hogwarts. Sorry. `` he chuckles while talking.
``i couldn't really tell where you were from at first, you sound way more sophisticated than me. or im just a bit dumb.``

he shuffles around a bit, clearly very impatient . ``I'm honestly quite scared for all of this. I kind of forget about all the stuff i learned about Hogwarts and magic stuff.`` he rubbed the back of his head and stared at his own feet. ``like i said, i shoulda prepared a bit more!``

``Sorry i talk about myself , and talk a lot in general. ive been trying to work on it-`` he mumbled, embarrassed.

Lillian smiled the tiniest bit when he told her where he was from, she payed a lot of attention to what he was saying. She giggled a little when he muddled up the name of their magical school. When he told her he was scared she nodded in agreement. Lillian didn’t like a lot of change in her life, so Hogwarts was a big thing for her and she almost considered denying it, but after meeting Adonis she was glad that she didn’t.

She watched him closely as he continued to talk, not wanting to miss anything he said. “ Sorry i talk about myself , and talk a lot in general. ive been trying to work on it-” he mumbled, looking a little embarrassed. “Oh, no, don’t apologise. I prefer listening than talking, you’re making things a lot easier for me,” she said, reassuring him.

“And don’t be worried about hogwarts, I think most of us are. A lot of us have never even heard about this place, let alone been to it...You know, I’m from the country-side originally, I don’t really remember where because I was little when we moved. When my father d-,” she stopped talking for a second, not knowing if she should continue. She didn’t want to make things dark by talking about her father’s death, so all she said was, “I’m sorry, now I’m the one who’s rambling.”

When she cut herself off, Adonis assumed what she was about to say and felt pretty bad. He enjoyed the conversation otherwise, and for the most part it seemed like he was listening`` That actually makes me feel better knowing that i'm not the only one scared about this Hogwarts stuff. Its not really what i expected. i imagined more...¨abracadabra¨ ya´ know? ``
he sighed a bit, deciding to not bring up what she was saying about her father, even though he was super curious. Probably a sore subject anyways.

Lillian than went on to apologize. “I’m sorry, now I’m the one who’s rambling.”
adonis was almost surprised by this statement. He replied in a reassuring and heartfelt tone.
``You don't need to worry about talking too much, i like listening, even though it might not seem like it.` Adonis looked around again, and fiddles with his hair. He was trying to make her feel better as best as he can, but that came off a bit self deprecating.

He tends to never stop moving, or smiling. His facial expressions were almost the opposite of hers, he was very warm and expressed himself very well. Than again, he was physically a mess of a person. Within a few seconds he shoved something else back into his bag.

Lillian felt better after he reassured her. He told her that he liked listening as well. For a moment, she just watched him, smiling and struggling to stay still, and then she spoke again. “I prefer to listen to people talking...that’s why I like reading, because it’s just other people talking really.” She laughed a little, looking down at the book against her chest, and then at his bag.

“It seems like you packed a lot. Do you want help? Maybe I could quickly rearrange it for you whilst we’re stuck in this traffic jam of people,” she said, trying to look down the hall. Lillian was very tall for her age, meaning she was able to look down, but she still couldn’t see what’s happening. She even tried to go on her tip-toes but it didn’t help much. “I think we should have time, it won’t be exactly neat but it will be a little bit better than having to constantly shove things in.” She smiled at him, a real and genuine smile. She had never been this friendly towards someone she had just met, but it was easy with Adonis. Their personalities seemed to be completely opposite, but this only made it easier for her.

¨It seems like you packed a lot. Do you want help? Maybe I could quickly rearrange it for you whilst we’re stuck in this traffic jam of people,” He took a second to comprehend that. You can almost see the gears turning in his head, and the smoke pouring out. He nodded in amusement, and his hair bounced with his head. `` that would make everything a lot easier-If you actually want to.`` he was obviously very embarrassed about his bag.

he knelt down a bit to his bag and unzippered it. He didn't even pack that much, but all the clothes were crinkled in balls like paper, and the books were scattered along the bag. his supplies for hogwarts carefully sat on top, wrapped in a crimson blanket. There was also an apple, for no reason in particular.

``this is a wee bit embarrassing. I packed it in a rush.`` he chuckled, and moved some clothes out of the way. ``i just need to uh..unball these shirts i guess? and fold them? that wont take too long..`` he felt quite bad about just making a friend than subjecting them to his uncleanliness, but the line probably wasn't moving for a little bit longer.

“No worries, happens to the best of us.” She said with a smile. She kneeled down, placing her own trunk and her book down, “let’s start with this apple, we should put it in a corner.

She held the apple up, “will you want it? Let’s keep it just incase.” She put it in a corner so it wasn’t on top and out of the way. She then took a few of his clothes, smoothed them out, rolled them and put them neatly in place, “my grandma always said that rolling up your clothes saves more space than folding them.” Next, she put the supplies on top and closed it. “There, all done. That should be better for you...I don’t want to sound mean, but that trunk was a mess.” She chuckled slightly.

She stood up, “I hope that’s alright,” she said, picking up her own book and her trunk once again. She tucked her hair behind her ears and swiped her bangs out of her face. Then, the line started to move and they could begin looking for a compartment now. “Oh, finally, it’s about time.” She smiled, dusting her knees off and looking around. “I wonder what happened,
maybe we’ll see.”

“There, all done. That should be better for you...I don’t want to sound mean, but that trunk was a mess.” She chuckled slightly and adonis laughed too. His laugh war hearty and loud, so it drowned hers out quite a bit. ``tell me about it. You should see my room back home, its ten times worse!`` he reorganizes himself and picks up his bag. ``Thank you, i really really REALLY appreciate it.`` he bowed his head down a bit.

Adonis Fixed his hair and saw the line started moving, it took him by surprise so he just followed behind lillian.¨I wonder what happened,
maybe we’ll see.”he nodded. ``whatever it was, it took forever. `` he let out a sigh and a very quiet giggle.

He looked around in awe. ``this looks old and fancy. or i just have low standards.`` he took a second. ``yeah i probably just have low standards.`` Adonis moved his bag around looking for a compartment. he honestly looked puzzled by all of this. Adonis looked like he was about to say something, but quickly bit his fist again. weird habit.

Lillian laughed, louder than she had before, when he said he had low standards. “I don’t think you have low standards...it is quite an old train, a steam-train. We don’t exactly use steam-trains anymore.” She nodded and looked around, “I like it.” She smiled.

The old train seemed to match Lillian’s style. She wore old-fashioned and really quite smart clothes, even now she was wearing a buttoned-up shirt, a sweater vest over it and a brown skirt, as well as smart leather shoes. “Steams trains are quite interesting, sometimes I like to read about them.” She laughed again but she didn’t know why. Maybe she had become more comfortable or maybe she was just excited, “they used to be super super fancy, they’d have chandeliers and all, only rich people could get on them really,” she was going to continue, but she stopped. “I’m sorry, I must be boring you with this talk of reading and steam trains and all.”

She blushed slightly, scratching the back of her neck. “I like reading...” she said quietly, her cheeks turning redder. She laughed a little nervously and twirled her hair in her fingers, an old habit she had only picked up recently

``Nahh you're not boring me one bit! `` he readjusted himself , once again trying to comfort. ``its interesting! i used to read a lot too, but i just kinda stopped outta no where. I have a pretty short attention span anyways. `` he sighed. ``i used to read while waiting for things to finish baking.`` Adonis states in a wistful tone.

He adjusted his blue striped shirt and glanced at lillian. she seemed a bit flustered/nervous so he tried to lighten it up a bit. ``i mean, for this train being so old- its in pretty dandy shape! `` he was very clearly getting way more comfortable around her and his surroundings.
`` for some reason thought the train was gonna be like one of those public busses things, where you have to hold onto a rail and stand super close to a bunch of strangers.`` Adonis had been inspected lillian's clothing while he was rambling on. He was really impressed on how well dressed and put together she was. He rubbed his nose and smiled again.

``I don't know too much about trains n stuff anyways. I dont think ive ever even been on one.``
he realised he had rambled on a bit too long, but instead of apologizing he just stopped suddenly .

"Nahh you're not boring me one bit!" replied Adonis, which made Lillian smile. A lot of people often found her boring or condescending when she spoke about these things and shared her knowledge. She was glad that Adonis didn't think that. He told her that he had eventually stopped reading out of nowhere and she nodded, she understood that people do often get tired of reading too much but she didn't think she ever could, she was even above average reading level for her age.

Adonis went on to explain that he expected the train to be more like a bus, then he said that he didn't think he'd ever actually been on one, which Lillian understood. "Yeah, I've never really been on trains either. I mean, in Glasgow there's the subway which I did use sometimes, but not often. There's mostly just buses around where I live but even still I don't use them." She said, then she tried to think if she had ever been on an actual train.

"Oh, actually, when I was moving from the countryside to Glasgow with my mum we took the train. We were supposed to take the car, but I have a terrible terrible fear of them and started screaming and crying when my mum tried to get me in...I was a very annoying child, but I'm still terrified of cars to be truthful," she said, chuckling slightly.
