Charles was a bit taken back when the fellow blonde agreed with him on the house names being comical or dorky but it was a nice feeling to have someone agree with him for once so the boy let out a smile as he eyed Drew before resting his eyes back out on the pitch.

Charles nodded a bit, really not that noticable to Drew when he confirm that the houses were named after creatures before continuing their lowkey roast on Hogwarts houses. Giving a smile but no laugh the blonde would speak" yeah but if anyone from Hogwarts starts bragging about their house then they could be reminded of that," the boy let out a smirk as he thought about telling Fyodor about it and maybe asking him if he would like to go around and tell a few kids a bit about their houses.... just for fun and particularly the annoying obnoxious ones.

"it's not that bad," Charles replied to the fellow blonde about his questions on Dumstrang, " majority if you stay out of the way then you can get by but you can get away with a lot more at Durmstrang then- here," Charles in a rather chill and cool manner gesture around them to refer to Hogwarts before leaning his arms back on the railing and continuing" fights break out a lot more and rules are broken a bit more to but students can be rather obnoxious there and even aggressive or salvage when it comes to certain things."

Charles never choose to attend Durmstrang, he was forced because his older brother was at the school and his father graduated from the place. But the blonde doesn't like it, he mainly stays alone since he doesn't have any friends at the place on the account of his elder brother who either is friends with everyone or scared anyone else away from Charles. Besides from being lonely, the blonde was often in fights and getting punched again because his elder brother enjoyed tormenting him for some reason.... and when he was alone then the blonde could only stand out when he broke rules so some reputation he had. It wasn't hard for others to figure out that Andrew was ranked rather high at Durmstrang and Charles rather low if it wasn't for his spot on the broom racing team than he would be ranked lower probably.

"My elder brother is very respected at the school and holds a high status so he purposely messed up my chances of making the team," Charles replied to Drew's question which it was true since Andrew threaten them before the tryouts not to let Charles on the team even through the blonde loved the sport with all his heart and if he could, he would play professionally in it when he's older.

Charles wood only nod to his reply before answering the question himself, " I don't have a favorite either but my family gets tickets to the Wigtown Wanders matches if you ever want to go," the blonde wasn't paying attention with his words as he was going through each team in his head remembering something as he spoke" if I had to choose then I'll choose the Holyhead Harpies or the Ballycastle Bats," the blonde remember that he had those two teams banners and posters hung up or tucked away in his room so he figured they may count as his favorites.

Charles leaned his arms on the railing as their was a moment of silence, perhaps Drew was thinking about quidditch or flying or brooms or siblings. Charles didn't wish that he was a only child, he only wished that he had different siblings really or a different family. Mainly since none of his friends were at Durmstrang so he either had to write to Beauxbatons or Ilvermorny or now Hogwarts if he ever wanted to get in touch with his friends then he never had anyone to really hang out with during the breaks either as well as at school.

In the past Charles and Andrew were close 2nd even training partners, the boy looked up to his brother and inspired to be him. Until the year before he started at Durmstrang and Andrew was announced the next head after their father, that was when Andrew started tormenting him and the two brothers lost connection and had a mutual hate for each other. The rest of his family treated Charles differently as well and most nights ignored him or insulted him.... probably why he wanted a relationship with Henry, Arthur and even Annabeth because be wanted at least one family member that he was close to but probably mess that up...

However the blonde had one cousin he was close to; Leo. His cousin was nine but he treated him like his younger brother probably because he was more sensitive and frighten then anyone else in their family which is why Charles hoped he will be attending Hogwarts since Durmstrang would probably ruin him.

Drew choose Ilvermorny.... a bit obvious but he also choose Hogwarts, Charles figured because he had cousins at the school. Which is why Charles considered choosing Hogwarts as well, he may not get along with Colin but perhaps it could be a second chance with Henry?

However the blonde would instead say" Ilvermorny or Beauxbatons, " the blonde had multiple friends in Ilvermorny like Fyodor and Iris but also in Beauxbatons like Cassie and Enzo so it explained why he choose those two schools as he spoke" I have friends in both but if I had to choose one then Ilvermorny probably because it always seem like a chill place to me and far away from my family to."

Drew seemed rather comfortable or at least Charles thought so he asked" is Drew your name or nickname?" The blonde had a half smile as he leaned his arms aginest the railing and listened to Drew ask his own question, technically the boy had a hero it once was his elder brother and then the muggleborn quidditch player but now... the blonde spoke" no. Do you have a hero?"

Drew chuckled a little at Charles' comment. "True, true." Of course, Drew wouldn't ever say that except for as a joke or as a teasing retaliation. He wasn't out to hurt anyone, and he really didn't want to make anyone insecure about their school houses. As the conversation turned to schools in general and being on the Quidditch team, Drew nodded at Charles' words. His eyebrows raised when Charles mentioned that his brother was out to get him and intentionally ruined his chances of ever being on the Quidditch team. "Wow, really? Why would he do that?" he asked, without really thinking about it.

The blonde boy guessed he hadn't ever really thought about siblings that way. He always thought of the effects of having siblings that liked you. It didn't seem that way at all with Charles and his brother. Charles claimed that his brother had held him back from his very dreams. That was just horrible. Why would anybody do that? Maybe the two boys weren't on good terms at all, and that's why Charles' older brother was determined to ruin his life. That was just sick, though. Why would you do that to somebody? Even somebody you don't like. That's messed up. Siblings were supposed to look out for each other. Siblings were supposed to protect each other. That's all Drew ever saw from Rose and her siblings. There were arguments, of course. But in the end, they all came back together again because they were family. Nothing could tear them apart. He hadn't ever really thought about it in the way that siblings could be out to get each other, or end up really negatively affecting each other's lives. Because if you were siblings, you knew each other's secrets. That could be a good thing. Or, in Charles' case, it could be a horrible thing. Drew glanced over to the third year next to him. "Are you not on good terms with your brother?" What happened? What could happen between two brothers that one brother would do something like that? If anything, Drew would expect him to be helping Charles get on the team. Not being the sole reason that he wasn't.

Charles mentioned that his family got tickets to the Wigtown Wanderers. "That's a cool team," Drew commented. He hadn't watched too many of their matches, but they weren't infamously horrible, so they couldn't be that bad. Charles basically offered for Drew to come to a Quidditch game with him sometime. Drew wasn't sure how exactly to react to that. "That would be amazing to go sometime," Drew responded. "I haven't been to too many Quidditch matches, to be honest."

A few minutes ago, Charles had snapped at him for making friendly conversation and called him a "pesky pest." Now he was telling Drew about his dreams and his problems, joking, and inviting him to Quidditch games. Maybe he was just feeling threatened in the beginning of their conversation, and now he felt more comfortable? Well, pretty comfortable to be inviting him to a Quidditch game. His personality was still a little muted and stiff, but it was definitely different than the beginning of their encounter. Or maybe he was just one of those people where you had to expect the unexpected. It was not uncommon for kids around his age to have mood swings, and Charles could be one of those kids that was not an exception, feeling defensive one moment and a little more casual the next. Drew would rather think the first option. Maybe he had caught the boy off guard, even if he hadn't meant to. "Maybe you can come over to America sometime and I can teach you Quodpot," Drew offered in return.

Quodpot was really unpopular in Europe, but more popular in North America. Probably because it was originally invented in North America in the first place. It included an exploding ball, called the Quod, and a pot. It was actually quite interesting to play and to watch, and unique in its design and gameplay. It was a little similar to Quidditch since the idea came from an unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on the way you view it) incident with a Quaffle.

Charles really did not like his family, did he? When Drew echoed his question, one of Charles' reasons for picking Ilvermorny was because it would be farther away from his family. What was so horrible about Charles' family anyway? Was he just exaggerating it or overreacting, or was his family really really bad people? His resentment toward them almost made Drew want to meet them, to find out what Charles was really talking about. "If you went to Beauxbatons, though, you'd have to learn French." He looked over to the Durmstrang student. "Unless you already know it, of course. About half of all the pureblood families I've met seem to be French." Just think about it. Of all the respected pureblood families, name two that don't have a member that knows French.

Point proven.

Charles asked him whether Drew was his name or his nickname. "Oh, yeah. It's my nickname," he answered simply. Yeah, maybe he should have introduced himself as his full name instead of just his nickname. "My full name is Andrew Lycan. The first. Technically." Yeah, technically he was Andrew Lycan the first, since he didn't have any ancestors that were named Andrew Lycan, so he was the first. That wasn't really part of his name, though, so he didn't really know why he had mentioned it. He continued, "But everyone I know just calls me Drew. You can call me whatever you want though. Drew, Andrew, Lycan, Annoying American Guy. I'm not picky." Drew smirked at his own joke. Then he decided he might as well ask Charles a question too. "Do you have a nickname? Do people call you Charlie or..." Drew trailed off. Yeah, there weren't a whole lot of nicknames for Charles' name. "I dunno, Char Char?" The blonde smirked at the ridiculousness of that nickname. Only people who liked torturing Charles would give him a nickname like that. Though, considering how Charles had talked about his family, maybe they would give him a nickname like that after all.

The Durmstrang student was very direct about his answer to Drew's question. No. That was pretty much it. No elaboration. No extra information. Just no. "There isn't anyone you look up to?" Drew asked. "I know it kinda sounds sappy, but I would think my dad's my hero." It was true. Drew looked up to his dad in every way. There was no way in the world that anybody but Drew's dad would be his hero. Maybe someday it would change, but Drew looked up to and admired his father. "He's an awesome dude." Drew almost felt bad talking about his father in such a positive way. It was almost like he was bragging about his family to someone who clearly did not like his own. Maybe he should stop that, then.

Charles just nod barely to the fellow blonde's response. Charles wasn't a bully and he didn't seek out to hurt others or stay fights except for at Durmstrang but that mainly was because he's been the punching bag for others plenty of times that the blonde didn't really care what people at that school thought of him anymore.

When he heard Drew's question through, Charles wasn't in the mood to answer him but he also didn't like lying either except if it was about his last name and blood status. So the blonde was deciding on what to say as he thought of his older brother, who was generally close with Charles for a few years that was. The two were training and studying partners, they would go on mourning runs around their house and pass notes to each other during their lessons. They practiced fighting aginest each other and occasionally would play quidditch or a form of quidditch with each other but when the blonde was eleven, after his first year day Durmstrang that was when everything changed.

When Andrew was named to be the next head of the family of their grandfather and father and Charles was named to be nothing. Then the little respect he had in his family was completely gone and his older brother completely cut him out of his life. Choosing to insult him and punch him and slowly drive a wedge between the two.

"Because he's a prick who believes he better than me now after he was announced to become the next head of the family after our father two years ago," Charles replies coldly not entirely happy about discussing his least favorite person in the world who was once his closest ally.

However when Drew asked another question about his brother, the blonde took a small sigh before started to speak" no, because he believes he's better now that he will become the next head," Charles hated his elder brother and hoped that he will be failing his examination coming up just so their grandfather could lecture him this time instead of Charles like usual every year.... the blonde was seriously considering attending a summer camp or staying with a friend the upcoming holidays just so he didn't need to hear from his grandfather and father how much of a disappointment and embarrassment and awful son he was.

Charles didn't even noticed that he invited the fellow blonde to the Wigtown Wanderers matches, probably because it slipped out and because his family got tickets to every match it didn't seem like such a big deal to the boy as he just nodded slightly to the fellow blonde and responded" the tickets end up in the rubbish bin mainly anyway but next time we get some, I'll send you a owl."

Charles was raised in a pureblood household and taught to act a certain way which explains his unusual nature compared to most kids. He stood up straight and stiff because that was how he was taught still birth as well as his choice of words and accent, probably why he how had a voice coach during summer holidays so he could easily transition from Russian to a British accent. However his natural accent is a mix of the two and was the one currently present in his conversation with Drew.

"Quodpot? The game based off of quidditch popular in America?" Charles asked not entirely sure on America things as the blonde waited for a sneer before speaking" that sounds cool mate, perhaps I'll will take your offer," the blonde was always willing to learn new sports especially ones that were similar to quidditch. He loved playing the game and any physical activity actually as long as he wasn't alone when he played them.

When the fellow blonde mention learning French if he attended beauxbatons the blonde was attempted to speak in french before hearing his next words and asking" you don't speak french? Do you speak any other language?" the blond would eye Drew for a moment before continuing" I do know French, Russian, Norwegian, German, and Spanish from lessons I was forced to take before Durmstrang," his words only added to the point that nearly every pureblood knew French. Probably because France had roots in the wizarding world going in for century's that the blonde barely knew about from his history lessons during the summer holidays.

When Drew answered his question and confirmed that 'Drew' was his nickname and is actual name was Andrew. Same as his elder brother and someone whom Charles hated currently and definently wasn't about to refer to this kid as the same name as someone he considered a prick. Luckily Drew mentioned be okay with any nickname giving Charles a moment to think before speaking" alright, then my nickname for you will be Rubbish Mouth, " chuckling lightly at the joke before he would speak a tad more serious this time, " only joking, I'll actually refer to you as Ly or Drew."

However when the fellow blonde mention his nick name and even crested a new one for him which was 'Char Char' which it sounded like a name that a lover would give to you so naturally Charles spoke" if you ever call me that then I may actually throw you off of some place high," his words had a slightly joking tone in them before he would say" my family calls me Charles and my friends call me Charlie."

It seemed like his one word answer didn't fly with Drew and he asked again about his hero in which Charles said about the same, " no", the boy wasn't in the mood to mood about his old muggle born quidditch friend that use to teach him broom racing or how he looked up to his older brother one time. But apparently Drew looked up to his father, predictable at least in Charles's mind as he turned his eyes back out toward the pitch in a attempt to block out his words.

Upon hearing his question about pen ps however, the boy would replied" Yes. One from Hogwarts a month or to before this trip, one from beauxbatons with a close friend, and another at Ilvermorny," the blonde decided he wasn't going to be the only one answering questions as he asked"have you ever had a pen pal? Why did you even ask Ly?"

"Announced the next head of the family?" Drew asked, his brow furrowing. He wasn't sure that he heard Charles right. Nobody announced the next heir to a pureblood family, that's not- what? That's not how that worked at all. Kids didn't gather around hoping that they would be chosen the head of the family, the head was just the oldest. In some cases, the oldest male. The announcement of the next head of the family to a pureblood family was just when the heir was born. If Charles' brother was older than him, then of course he was the next head of the family of the Alluring family. Maybe they were just different in terms of how their family worked?

Charles probably didn't want to talk about it, but Drew's confusion had clouded up his perception of Charles' tone.

Drew shrugged. "It still doesn't give him an excuse to be a jerk to you." It was true. No matter how superior somebody felt to someone, it didn't mean that they had a free pass to be cruel. Because if you were mean because you felt superior to someone, that just makes you so much less superior to them. It cancels out your superiority. Even if you don't know it.

The Wampus did appreciate Charles' offer for taking him to a Quidditch game, even if Charles brushed it off, saying that they normally ended up in the rubbish bin (or, as Drew would know it, the trash can) anyway. "Thank you anyway. It's nice of you to offer. I might take you up on that sometime," Drew grinned. Even if he ended up not ever going, he at least now knew that Charles did have a heart. And a sizable one, too.

Drew often found a lot of people that blamed the way they acted on their past, and Drew didn't blame them. Pasts were horrible sometimes. Some people blamed their actions on their situation. Situations were horrible sometimes, too. It did give them an excuse, but Drew didn't think it was always valid. You didn't have to walk around bullying people just because you were bullied. You didn't have to be shy and protected because you were betrayed. Those people were a lot more common than a certain type of person that was Charles. He was the type of person who grew up with a horrible past and was in a horrible situation but was a good person anyway. It would have been a lot easier for Charles to just blame his actions on his situation and his past, but he was being really nice to Drew. Inviting him to a Quidditch game, apologizing for snapping at Drew, and making friendly and good conversation.

"That's the one. Impressive," Drew answered with a smirk, and a raise of his eyebrows. "You'd be surprised how many Europeans I've met that don't have a clue what Quodpot is." It was true. Though widely popular in America, most people in other countries had no idea what Drew was talking about when he mentioned the word Quodpot. "It's a lot like Quidditch, but they're both different, too."

The Durmstrang student confirmed that he knew French, and listed four other languages that he was fluent in. One of them was German. Drew smiled. "Du sprichst Deutsch?" "You speak German?" He asked, speaking German. He was fluent in German only because of his mother. She had lived in Germany for a couple of years and had insisted he learn it, too. "Meine Mutter fand es wichtig, eine Fremdsprache zu lernen. Schärfen Sie Ihr Gehirn und den ganzen Jazz. Sie hat mir Deutsch beigebracht. Ich habe jedoch nicht sechs Sprachen gelernt. Das ist cool." "My mother thought it was important to learn a foreign language. Sharpen your brain and all that jazz. She taught me German. However, I haven't learned six languages. That's cool." His German was close enough to perfect, and it always made him think of his parents. His dad only knew bits and pieces between Drew and his mother, and he always tried to guess what they were saying. He was normally very off, but sometimes he guessed correctly. He kept saying that he had to learn German someday, but Drew didn't think that would be anytime soon. A lot of German words were similar to their English translations. For example, 'Katze' meant cat in German. 'Schwein' meant pig, and sounded similar to swine. And Pizza? Pizza was just pizza. To be fair, pizza in almost any language was pizza. Even languages with different alphabets, Drew had observed. The word for pizza sounded almost exactly like the word pizza. It was an international word, and deserved to be so.

A chuckle came from the Second Year at his new acquaintance's suggestion for a nickname. Rubbish Mouth. "Ah," he said, unable to stop smiling. He had encouraged this, after all, and he kind of deserved it. "What a lovely nickname. I'm honored." Charles assured him that he was only joking, and he would probably call him Drew or 'Ly.' At first, Drew wasn't sure what Ly was supposed to mean. Then he realized it was a shortened version of his last name, Lycan. It made sense, but he hadn't ever been given that nickname before. Well, there was a first time for everything, right?

The American laughed a little at Charles' response. "Well, that's one good reason to not call you that." He might end up calling him that anyway, just to make the boy laugh, and not to make him uncomfortable or anything. Drew nodded. He wasn't sure that he qualified as one of Charles' friends yet, so maybe he would hold off on calling him "Charlie" until they knew each other a little bit better.

Charles really really did not want to talk about his hero, or anyone he looked up to, did he? He was avoiding the question dramatically. At least it wasn't in a mean way. Drew decided that he was just answering honestly, and held himself back from pushing the matter even further. He didn't want to ruin the pleasant conversation they were having.

Onto the topic of pen pals. Drew nodded at Charles' response. "Ah, so you're an expert in that area." Charles asked the question back and Drew had to admit that he hadn't. "Not really, unless you count family. Not sure that counts as a pen pal, though." Why did he ask Charles that? Well, first of all, he wanted to carry on the conversation, and they didn't really have anything to talk about. And also- "It might be cool for you and I to be pen pals. You're a cool person and apparently a master. Maybe you could teach me how to be a pen pal or something." Drew smirked. That wasn't at all how that worked, but he hoped it would make Charles laugh a little.

Charles knew the fellow blonde was shocked about someone being announced the next head instead of it being handed down it the eldest child. But his family was rather different, the heads and most trusted members if the family gets to decide who the next head will be out of the children and age plays a small part in it. The eldest has the most advantage to getting chosen, then the middle has less, and so on. However the head was choosen just on age but also on maturity and loyalty to the family and responsibly and intellectual and everything that he didn't see in his elder brother but his family did.

"In my family, heads don't necessarily have to be the eldest child. Instead all the children are looked at and the current head decides who the next head will be," Charles replied calmly not bother by the fact mainly since he had no desire to become the head of his family. However he would give a slight smile toward his comment and minuscule nod as he replied to Drew's comment, " He's a jerk to our cousins to but specifically me, I'm not bother by it anymore and chose to ignore it or try to."

Charles didn't elaborate or would say anymore, he chose not to talk about his brother and hoped that Drew wouldn't ask anymore questions about him. Especially since he was already dreading his return visit to Dumstrang and what his brother may say or do once he arrived however if Drew would continue asking him questions on his brother the blonde would remain silent and not say a word more.

Charles would give a slight smile toward Drew with one of those cool head nods as he spoke "I'll look forward to attending a match during the summer holiday then," the boy felt himself feel rather odd around him now. Like he was comfortable or enjoying talking with Drew? It was odd to feel so calm and comfortable around other while simply being himself but also he felt something else... a feeling he couldn't explain or even drive deep on.

Charles looked sideways a bit with a small smile toward Drew's smirk and comment about Charles knowing what Quodpot was. He only knew was it was mainly because of Fyodor and his liking of wizarding lifestyles in American that prompted research on it which is odd for the boy who prefers physical activities to reading. He would listen to the American's comment on Quodpot and how it was different but also simlair to quidditch before speaking" I just enjoy sports and hobbies in American I reckon," giving his newfound friend (Charles wasn't quite sure if they were even friends) a smile.

Drew asked if he spoke German while speaking German so naturally Charles has to reply back in German, " yes not a commonly used on though. So tell me Drew, do you prefer speaking in German or English?" The boy would listen to his next remark and was taken back at now well his german was. Each word and accent was spot on, even better than his own but granted he hardly spoke the language as he continued in German not as well as Drew with the accent and words, " that's sweet that you and your mother speak a language. Does your father speak it as well? Are you German or part at least? I only know 6 languages because my father and grandfather believe it was important to know multiple and included then in the lessons." It was true that Charles sometimes wished he didn't know six languages but other times was glad he did, this was one of those times and perhaps they could have their own 'secret' conversations in Germany? What do you expect him to think, he's twelve after all.

Charles wild playfully roll his eyes the tiniest bit way Drew when he mentioned he was honored to be called 'rubbish mouth' and thought if he wanted to joke with him perhaps he would occasionally call him that. But would probably settle on Drew or Ly or Andy or Ant or something close to those.

Charles would lightly nudge the blondes side when he mentioned not calling him 'Char Char' and playfully patting his back once or twice as he playfully spoke as a joke, " on second thought go ahead and call me that, I been looking for something to try out my strength with," the Dumstrang hadn't remember the last time he joked with someone and he was quite enjoying the feeling.

The topic changed to pen pals and Charles would only give the fellow blonde a light smirk when he heard his comment about being a expert with pen pals before speaking" family counts a bit as pen pals probably, you have what one or four then?" Smiling a bit at the other at mentions of becoming pen pals before speaking" alright let's be pen pals then, your a cool person as well but your writing the first letter."

Charles has enjoyed chatting with Drew and was glad they met when he noticed the sun was already halfway done with setting and he figured he should probably head back to the Dumstrangs to head to the Hogwarts hall for dinner that night as he spoke" I think dinner will be soon, I should be heading back toward Dumstrang but will I see you at dinner Ly?"

Drew nodded. "Okay." It didn't really make sense, but families were different. Maybe it was something that just happened in their family. But pureblood families tended to be biased towards the eldest anyway. Drew thought that it would be expected for the eldest to be chosen. That was brutal, choosing one kid over another to lead the whole family. It just wasn't really fair at all. Imagine being the youngest and knowing you had little to no way of becoming the head, but still was given the hope, which was soon crushed. Imagine being the oldest and expecting to be picked, only to find out you weren't good enough. Or maybe just that you weren't loved as much as someone else. That family was brutal, and Drew was glad that the heirs were simple and nothing worth lording over other people.

At a once-over from Drew, Charles definitely didn't seem to want to talk about it any more, which was weird since Drew was fairly sure he had been the one to bring it up and keep talking about it, ready to insult his brother whenever he was given the chance. That's just what happened with pent-up anger, Drew guessed. It comes out when it comes out, and you can't really control it much. Drew decided not to go any further with Charles' brother or his family. It seemed like a sensitive subject, anyway.

The Wampus just nodded at his acquaintance's comments, not really having much to say about it after that.

As for German, Drew was asked which language he preferred. "English," he replied simply. It wasn't really a competition. English was what he usually spoke with his family, and his friends, and at school. It was rare times that he ended up speaking German. English was his first language, and his brain was, most of the time, wired that way. Usually he thought in English, dreamed in English, talked in English. Both languages came naturally to him, but English was just something he was better trained in. It wasn't anything against German. He just liked English better. No matter how confusing it could be sometimes. Drew shook his head. "Nein, tut er nicht. Das macht es zu einer geheimen Sprache zwischen meiner Mutter und mir.""No, he does not. That makes it a secret language between my mother and me." Drew chuckled a little. Charles then asked if he had anscestors that were German. As far as Drew knew? Well, he didn't know very much, so maybe? "Ich bin mir nicht sicher. Ich muss meine Mutter irgendwann fragen." "I'm not sure. I have to ask my mother at some point." Who knows? Maybe he would learn something about their anscestry.

Charles made a joke about needing to test out his strength. Drew rolled his eyes in response. His eye roll was not as subdued as Charles', which did reflect their personalities. Drew was much more outgoing than Charles. "Ah, well, I've been needing to test out my speed as well. Maybe we'll see what I decide to call you. All depends on my needs, ya know."

"Five. Well, at least. I write to my parents and my grandma when I'm away at school, so I guess, like... eight? Plus my other four cousins that write me sometimes, and their parents. But they're family, and that's kinda what you do, write to family to keep up with them. It's not like we're serious pen pals, either, writing every day and stuff, just like... occasionally checking up on each other." Drew guessed he kind of did have pen pals, even if he hadn't known it before. Charles accepted his request at being pen pals, on the condition that he wrote the first letter. "Sweet," Drew commented, with a nod. He was already wondering what he was going to put in his first letter. "I'm glad to be under your mentorship, pen pal master." He grinned sideways at Charles.

The Durmstrang student suggested they should probably go. Drew looked around him. He was right. They were now the only people on the pitch, as compared to a scattering of people earlier, and it was quite dark, too. Drew was such a people person, he had been so engaged in the conversation that he hadn't quite noticed that they would soon be breaking curfew. "Yeah, you're right," Drew said, with a small sigh. "Yep, I'll see you at dinner. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Charles Alluring. I hope we meet again," he finished with a smile.

Charles had, at first, been very tight, stiff, and guarded, snapping at him and calling him a "pesky pest." (Drew still thought that was redundant and not much of an insult or deterrent) However, Drew was glad to have been able to shake him up a little and peer inside of him. He was glad that he had gotten a chance to figure out who Charles Alluring really was, and to learn so much about yet another person. He was caring, sporty, and sarcastic. He had a rough life but was still able to power through, making some friends and holding on to what he had. He had friends from other schools to make up for his lack at his own. He had a cousin that he was close to to make up for the brother who bullied his existence. Drew really was glad to have met Charles and spend some time with him, bonding through the skies.

Charles didn't respond or do much toward Drew's remark on his family, the blonde couldn't care what others thought about his family or their traditions mainly since Charles wanted out. He wanted to be disowned or walk out of his family, he wanted to live his own life and choose his own path so being the next head of his family wasn't something the boy was concerned about.

Charles gave a slight nod toward Drew preference. English was simpler than german and spoken more frequently in different areas so the third year understood why he chose English over german. However Charles may speak german or another one occasionally just to mess with the fellow blonde.

Charles listened to Drew explain how german was a 'secret language' between him and his mother. That sounded odd to Charles, probably because he never had anyone to have a secret language or handshake with or perhaps they was raised to not partake in childish activities but no matter the reason the blonde was interested in Drew's relationship which his parents.

Charles nodded to his reply about not knowing his ancestors but not pushing it. He understood not everyone knew about their heritage, Charles was a exception because before starting Durmstrang he was required to read and study his family history which was the boy's least favorite thing to study.

Charles let out a smirk and nudged Drew's shoulder when he heard his remake about testing out his speed and fitting his needs as he replied"then again I could always call you something embarrassing and rubbish as well."

This was fun. Joking with another, chatting with them and cracking jokes. The third year was a extrovert and did enjoy being around others but it was hard being himself around others even if he wanted to. The boy learned to adapt to what others wanted him to be and thats how he acted except for moments like these, moments where he could be himself and just smile. The third year wished for more moments like this, he wished that he went to Ilvermorny instead of Dumstrang.

As Drew talked about his cousins and parents counting as pen pals, Charles found he was a little jealous of the boy and his relationship with his family. Charles never knew that he wanted one with his own but listening to Drew talk about his had open up his eyes well sort of...

"Your weird dude but in a good way," Charles spoke in reference to Drew talking about being under his mentorship in writing pen pals. Although the blonde was excited that he would be writing to and keeping in touch with Drew, it seemed like a good opportunity to meet new people and Drew seemed like a cool person to be friends with. That and it wasn't everyday you found someone around the same height as yourself.

"Call me Charlie," Charles replied to the American who referred to him by his first and last name before continuing" it was a pleasure making your acquaintance as well and I'll look forward to your letter," Charles offered a smile before following him down the stands and turning to go in the opposite direction as he eyes Drew and spoke"I'll see you at dinner Drew."

Charles would head off toward the Durmstrang camp as he thought about how funny plans change, he wasn't expecting to talk to anyone that evening and doubted he would make a new friend. However the third year found himself glad he was there on that visit and that he met Drew who was both different but also similar to him. Charles hoped they would meet again and have another opportunity to bond in the skies.
