Let me forget, just for a day PV Lavinia Cloven Finished

Haley was surprised that Lavinia had really accepted her offer. But it was a pleasant surprise because she opened up to her and showed no fear. She trusted her and that was something she usually got from people. But since the Howler, many just looked at her fearfully and would never trust her if she offered to help them.

Haley listened intently to the words from her new acquaintance and even if she didn't realise it, it was good that she was finally dealing with something other than her own problems. "Mhh." Haley thought for a moment. "The fear of something happening to you is causing you to not live your life properly." This was a really difficult thing and Haley didn't think it was a small problem at all. "I know it's difficult, but you have to look at it that way." Haley started to explain, trying to put her way of thinking into the right words, "If all you do is sit in your room out of fear and only go out for training at most, then you can't live your life at all. Then it's almost as if something has already happened to you. And the probability that something will really happen to you is very small. It's never zero, but it's low." That might not have been the best reasoning, but it was the truth and Haley tried to convince her of it even more. "Something could happen to you in your room too and then you're upset that you didn't live your life. Then you'd rather take that little risk and be able to say at the end that it was worth it because you used those days. Because you had fun and explored that world."

Haley didn't know if someone could understand her words and her way of thinking but it was unthinkable for her to spend her life like that. She'd rather put herself at risk of something happening but have a full life than lock herself away somewhere and end up dying anyway. Just not happy.

She smiled at Lavinia's words, she was very grateful for her offer and she trusted her too. But she decided that she would not talk about her problem. At least not today, because Haley now had a completely different plan. "I will talk to you about it, but not today." Haley now replied confidently. Her mood had improved considerably and she was no longer thinking about what had been bothering her so much an hour ago. "But I have another plan for you and me. Today I'm going to show you how to live. How not to be afraid and what a good feeling that will be at the end of the day." She laughed at this sentence and took a leap forward. She took Lavinia by the hand and carefully pulled her behind her, down the stairs of the tower. "Tell me, what have you always wanted to do but were too afraid to?"

Haley was eager to hear her answer. It wouldn't have to be anything big, but she hoped that with Haley's support, Lavinia would leave her fear behind for a small moment. Small steps eventually brought one to the goal and at some point Haley's support would no longer be necessary, she was sure.

Haley definitely knew what to say to help you forget why your trouble was even an issue and that’s what she was doing to Lavinia. Now she felt as though there was no reason to be afraid of the unknown because living in the unknown was how you grew and lived your life. Also, Haley made her want to do more then just live in a room, Haley was right Lavinia did want to go see some more of the world other than her room.

When she rejected her offer of talking about what was bothering her, Lavinia wasn’t surprised. But she was surprised that Haley had said that someday she would share with her. It was nice to know that even though they just met they had a sort of friendship. She would wait for as long as Haley needed to share and Lavinia would make sure to be there because she was helping her through her problems and Lavinia would do the same. Before she even had a chance to say something in reply, Haley starting executing a plan.

She was going to show her how to live and Lavinia was cautious but already on board. There is normally one way to get find of a fear and that way is by conquering it. To be honest she was ready and excited to have that feeling of moving forward and not letting the fear take over her life. Lavinia wasn’t expecting to face her fear right now but when Haley grabbed her hand and started pulling her down the stairs she let out a giddy/nervous laugh.

Then Haley asked the question of what she wanted to do but was too afraid to do. What was she really afraid of? School events was probably the thing she was the most frightened of but there wasn’t one going on right now so what else was there? There was the Great Lake but that could possibly be iced over at the moment. The abandoned bathrooms were always she was afraid if since the stabbing that happened there, but the one place she was very scared of was the basement. Of course it sounded cliché that she was so frightened of the dark basement but it was true. Some things that could be down there were scary but it’s just a what if, there could be nothing at all. She wouldn’t say she always wanted to go there but it was a good place to go to show her that fear should not be ruled over fun.

So she told Haley; “Thank you, I definitely need this push to go and do something. As cliché as it sounds I think we should head to the basement, it would be a good place to show me that there is nothing to fear from adventure.”
