Alan would arrive at the pitch after putting on his gear in the locker room, his teeth biting hard on top of each other in a silly attempt to keep them from chattering as the cold Scotthish winds would mercilessly pull at him as his team's cape would whip around his back in the force of the winter's cold. He was already craving a mug of hot chocolate, but for now he had to endure. He was happy about the custom gloves he had gotten for his Christmas; gloves that would wrap around his fingers but had many little slits along the finger to allow for a better grip on the broom, while also ensuring that his limbs would not die off in the bitter cold. Perhaps he was exaggerating a little, but he really would prefer being bundled up in a heap of blankets in front of a fireplace with a house elf preparing him a cup of hot chocolate.
He shook his head, getting rid off all those thoughts before he greeted both his own team as well as their opponents, he liked a lot of the other team's students but he also knew he had to make his house win; the competition was there and as soon as he pushed off the ground with his broom, the adrenaline pumping through his veins would let him momentarily forgot about the weather.

Paisley entered the match with shaking hands and wide eyes. She hadn't been able to sleep the night before, and breakfast had been hard to swallow. She was surrounded by people older than her. Although they were all apart of the team, she still felt as if they were above her in most ways. She belonged on the side the game. The second string. The other players were the ones who were going to be apart of all the action. That, their age, and their experience made Paisley feel very intimidated.Action: Arriving/Sitting on bench

She had become familiar with the routine of practicing, and she learned she loved quidditch even more than she had before. But with all these people watching, suddenly it didn't feel like a game anymore. It felt like a performance. Even though she most likely wouldn't be in the game, she still felt the pressure completely. The team had to win. There was no other option. The entire house of Gryffindor was counting on them.
She took a few deep breaths and calmed herself down. The butterflies in her stomach slowed, and she had a chance to look around at all the familiar faces. They seemed to have transformed once they put on their uniforms and held their broomsticks. They were all great players, and it was apparent in the confident way they walked around. She couldn't imagine how pathetic she looked next to them, and she yet again started to compare herself. It was a nasty habit of her's. Her eyes darted around to the stands and then to the sky, where the game would take place. A sharp, icy wind pierced her pink nose and ears, and she shivered.
She shifted her sleeves so that they covered her cold wrists and sat down on the corner of the bench, listening to one of the team captain's, who had just started speaking. She listened to what they had to say and tried to repeat it over and over again in her head, trying to remember. After they walked away, her mind slowly wandered and she got lost in her own thought's.

Gabriella's heart was racing. How she had managed to get onto the team eluded her completely, and in the first string, at that. She clutched tightly onto her broom, a Nimbus 1500 that had been given to her by Cecily, the Ravenclaw captain, and her knuckles turned white, almost numb, in the cold. Would it hinder me if I wore gloves? Gabriella asked herself, but decided against it - it was her first match, after all, and she wanted to do everything correctly, now more than ever. If I'm gonna be remembered in this game, it'll be for kicking Gryffindor's ass, she said under her breath.
Gabriella noted that there were many more Gryffindors out on the pitch than there were Ravenclaws - in fact, the only other first-string player there was River, the seeker. She grinned broadly as she spotted Henry, second string seeker and Gabriella's friend, sitting on the Ravenclaw bench. She hoped Henry still recognised her; they hadn't spoken in a while and you could never be sure.
Trying to appear more confident than she felt, Gabriella strode out into the centre of the pitch and exhaled deeply. In just a few minutes, she would be twenty feet up in the air...

Cecily wasn't the happiest when she stepped outside, the chill reaching through her layers of warm clothing and the cold wind whipping through her hair-- but she wouldn't trade it for the world. For today, and every day she spent with her broom in her hand, was the highlight of her Hogwarts career. And here she was, at the head of her team, approaching the pitch with her broom in hand and a determined look on her face, already pink from the cold.
Of course, it wasn't all peachy. Ravenclaw was still fighting to recover from a tough losing streak, having not secured that elusive snitch since Cecily's earliest matches, over a year ago. But today, as Cecily and her team took to the pitch, she felt something other that the familiar stubbornness in her heart, the one that assured her that there was no way Ravenclaw could accept another loss this season. It was, perhaps, a glimmer of hope-- a feeling juxtaposed to what she had felt about her team mere weeks ago as they wrestled with a sparse line-up. But she had just been promoted to a full-fledged captain, and she had none other than @Sylvain Wyllt at her side. Even though her Prefectorial successor held no real stake in the team, not being a member himself, he had stepped up to fill the vacant position, and he had been instrumental in filling out their roster, for which Cecily was eternally grateful. And with Ravenclaw's desperate plea for players, those that had answered the call showed great promise. Cecily was confident that shaking up the team was just what her house needed to secure that glimmering snitch and a sweet victory.
"Alright, Eagles," she started, facing her team. She wasn't very good with pep talks, but she figured that, as Captain, she should probably say something. "I know this is the first match for a lot of you, but it's nothing you can't handle. I know you've all put in the work. Now it's time to prove it." Short and sweet. She grinned at the assembled Ravenclaws, excited to be playing once more alongside her housemates.
Turning back towards the pitch, the blonde gripped her broom tight as she made her way onto the field. After a stressful few weeks, the day had come; the match was here. She mounted her broom and kicked off into the sky with a pinpoint focus. She knew what she had to do, and so did her team. And Merlin, she was so ready to mop the pitch with these lions.

Akari felt her heart pounding rapidly in her throat as she neared the pitch. With each step she took, it seemed as if its beat was growing louder and louder. She'd experienced nerves before but they didn't even compare to her feelings now.
If someone were to ask her to describe how she felt at this moment she would have had been unable to answer coherently, for though she was terribly nervous she was weirdly just as filled up with excitement and eagerness. Whether or not she would actually get a chance to play today didn't even matter that much to the small Gryffindor, she was just grateful to be there and considered part of the team.
She fidgeted gently with the bracelet that was tied securely to her small wrist as she listened along to the little pep talk coming from the team captain as everyone organized and prepared themselves for the game. She really could hardly believe what was happening. She probably would have stayed lost in bewilderment of this incredible dream-like situation if it wasn't for the girl she remembered from the train incident, along with the other first string beater approaching and speaking to her.
"Heya, yeah... I must admit I am quite nervous" She confessed with a small jittery chuckle to the two girls.
Akari's brows raised as she winced slightly at the tale of the beater's previous game.
"Ouch, that must have been awful-" She exclaimed, just as she then heard a what seemed, or what she hoped to be a joyful squeal.
She looked around surprisedly to find that it was coming from the boy who she recognized as the first string keeper. She grinned widely at all his energy before replying "Glad to meet you too Pierre! Though that is super nice, but for your sake, I really hope that doesn't happen"
Though it would be tremendous to actually get out on the pitch, she would rather not see a bashed up kid (even though it was inevitable by the sound of it).
Once all of them were beginning to mobilize towards getting into place she called out to all of them.
"Thanks you guys and will do! Good luck out there!" Akari nodded, agreeing to make some noise from the benches. She would most definitely be cheering each and everyone one of her teammates on from the sidelines.

Here it was the 2nd match of the season. Lavinia had been told a few weeks ago that she was going to be the 2nd string chaser for this match and it did make her a little less excited for the match but she was thrilled that she was going to be able to cheer on her teammates. She was 2nd string because she had missed a few practices (due to unnecessary sleeping in) and her amazing captain had wanted to test out a few new players on the field. One of the reasons Lavinia was glad she wasn’t playing was the weather, it hadn’t snowed that much last night but it was enough to make the whole field lightly covered in snow. This made it so Lavinia could be all bundled up on the sidelines but she had nothing to keep her moving and not catch a cold. As Lavinia walked toward the bench she tried to keep warm but the snow was already starting to seep through her shoes and in her sock. She thought Oh no, this is going to be a long game but, at least I can keep my hands warm by cheering. She sat down on the bench and was ready to come into the game if need be but for now her main priority was staying warm.Action: Cheering on her team, trying not to get hypothermia!

This was it. Bloom was entering her first Quidditch match. She never thought this day would ever come. She never found herself as a Quidditch person. But alas, things change. Bloom wanted to try something new and there was room for a second string Keeper. Luckily, she did not go in right away. Instead, it was Aly who went first. She would head on in if something happened to Aly.
Keep keeping..., Bloom thought to herself, hoping that this first match she would just sit it out and watch how it works rather than jumping in. Bloom held her broom and watched the first strings enter the arena, shivering from the windy weather. (At least that is what Bloom hopes her shivers are coming from rather than nerves.)

Kyle was ready. He was sporting a black eye and a couple other fading bruises from his training and practice with bludgers, but he couldnt be any more ready than he was right now. The first game rough. They were beaten, battered and bloodied by the end of it. Through it all however the lions could not be broken and they came out victorious. Not Only had they won their first match, they beat their rival house and arguably the strongest team the school had at the moment. To make it even better, They were leading in points. In any sports game, Momentum mattered. It effected alot. And the lions currently had some HUGE momentum.
Kyle strapped on his leather beater armor, adjusted his helmet, kissed his wolf rune necklace and stepped out on the field with his bat in one hand and his treasured tinderblast in the other. Once on the field he raised both into the air to the cheering of the audience, either real or imagined in his head. This was a field of battle and they were warriors returning to defeat another enemy and his blood was burning with excitement.
Sure he was second string, So he was not on the front lines. But in the event another beater fell, he would be swooping in and sowing as much carnage as he could. Being on the bench just gave him time to watch everyone. to see how they moved, where their weaknesses and strengths were. who to target and how. If he took to the air...Kyle would be ready.
Before taking his seat as the rest of the team starting taking to the air he punched into the air with his bat. "Lets show these book worms how Lions play quidditch!" and he faced the Gryffindor section of the stands "Let them hear us Roar!" and the former captain let out a battle cry in an effort to pump up himself, his team and the crowd

Just six months before, Aly had been in her backyard practicing catching the Quaffle with her father, with her mother half-watching and reading Witch Weekly nearby. And now she was playing her first real Hogwarts Quidditch match as Ravenclaw's first-string Keeper.Interacting slightly with @Cecily Quinn and @Bloom Silverton, though not speaking!
She could hardly believe her luck.
Can't go daydreaming when you're on a real Quidditch pitch, her father's voice echoed in reminder in her ears.
Aly shook her head to clear it, brown curls bouncing around her pale, freckled face as she did so; this reminded her that she needed to tie back her hair to avoid it getting in her eyes, and she pulled a ribbon from where it had been tied around her wrist, pulling her hair into a frizzy ponytail of ringlets. Just as she arrived on the pitch, the Ravenclaw captain was giving a pep talk to the rest of the assembled Ravenclaw players, and Aly felt a pang of embarrassment in her chest- she wasn't late, was she? It was her first game, after all. Perhaps the nerves had caused her to lose track of time.
Her fears were assuaged by the fact that not all of Aly's first-string teammates had yet arrived, and as Cecily kicked into the air, Aly mounted her brand-new Comet 180 and pushed off herself. It was cold high up in the sky, and ever so windy too, but the adrenaline pumping through the petite Ravenclaw's veins was more than enough to keep her warm.
I've got this, she assured herself in her mind, waving down to the second-string keeper below her. Bloom- that was her name, Aly was pretty sure. Hopefully Bloom wouldn't have to do anything, but Aly was quite glad to know that there was someone to rely on in case Aly herself became incapacitated!
