Walking in a Winter Wonderland PV P. Chase Finished

"A Paige-scicle," he smiled, liking that term. He himself didn't feel cold at all. Must be the nice winter coat from Aunt Maggie. He took her extended hand in his but pulled her forward then rolled some, so she landed in the snow right next to him and he laughed. It was deep enough that he knew she wouldn't be harmed and would only land in the fresh snow.

"Okay, okay...I don't want to have to carry you to the Hospital Wing to thaw out," he said to her getting up from the ground, then helped her up before brushing some of the snow off of him. He then held out his hand where she offered him a lemon drop and he took it, enjoying the taste.

Simon drew in a slow breath, enjoying the fresh air that he just didn't get to experience enough of. It had been a great evening. "So when is this lunch supposed to take place? Do I have to arrange some kind of picnic here at school or are we waiting for Summer break?" That seemed like ages away!

There was Hogsmeade, the town nearby, but unfortunately as First Years they weren't able to yet go there. As the two talked they made their way back through the grounds and toward the castle and he smiled as he glanced down and listened to the snow crunching below their footsteps. He then took off his gloves so he could feel the falling snow. Small little things that some might take for granted, but he didn't get to experience as much.

It had been a nice evening and he was grateful for friends like Paige who got him out and about.
