Alec had to bite back a smile at the compliment for the leather jacket. The jolly feelings of what was the Holidays simply seemed to spread around as silence fell over the two. Concentrating on their work, Alec enjoyed the silence. Till the question he'd asked was being given an answer, then he enjoyed the answer. It was nice getting to know people, they always seemed to be so interesting.

The jolly feelings only left when Alec realized the other had started crying while Alec had been focusing on his work. Based on context, these should've been happy tears, but Alec wasn't exactly sure. Could tears be happy and sad at the same time? Alec bit his lip in thought before speaking up, "That all sounds lovely, you kno-" Alec stopped speaking as he watched the other stand up, thanking Alec for the help Michael picked everything of his own up, before saying bye and walking away. Alec had just been about to extend an invitation, hot chocolate included, for a later date to cheer Michael up, but he'd left just too soon. Maybe next time. The lion had other things to get done now, like the leather jacket. Alec made his way with stitches and sews, going through the same process he'd done for the first, it taking longer because he had to be more precise with this one.

It was smaller, and for a cat after all. The hours felt as if they were dragging on in the library, as he sat there attempting to get everything that needed to be done for it, done in one day. And he did, even if it felt like it'd taken forever. Alec going back and making adjustments to what he'd done on the first jacket as well, before they finally turned out with something he was satisfied with. The final product?

Two sleek leather jackets, one for the cat and one for who he was giving the gifts too. Santa sewn as a design on the back, perfectly planned out. The names sewed on the front of the jacket with curly and curvy letters. The acronym "E. L. F." placed perfectly atop the Santa design. The randomness of it all hard to describe, but he found himself admiring the leather on the jacket.. Something about it always just made people look tough as well. Alec was proud of himself. It looked better than he'd thought it would've turned out. It also turned out Alec really wanted to make one for himself now. Alec grinning as he set the supplies he'd brought with him away(Him not wanting to bother the librarian by asking her for supplies brought his own.), before dropping the gift off with the librarian and making his way out the door. What a long day it had been.
