A Quiet Night to Bond...
"Ana, do you think you could tell me your dad and Step-mom's name and birthdays?"
Ana hesitated and shifted slightly as Lily said "stepmom." Ana wasn't used to thinking of her that way, and it freaked her out. After all, she had considered this woman her biological mother for all 12 years of her life.
"Um, Mum's name is Mary (Mimi for short) and her birthday is November 16th. Dad's name is Paul and his is July 5th."
Ana watched as Lily wrote them in on her family tree. Ana smiled. It was weird and slightly off-putting to think she had a whole other family she didn't even know about.
She had been dying to ask about Lisa since Lily had mentioned her, and figured now was the chance.
"Lil, would it be okay if you told me about your mother?" Ana was hesitant to ask this, because it just felt strange. Ana wanted to know everything at once, yet she didn't even know the woman!
"Well, I guess I mean our mother... It's just that I know nothing about her and I wish I did."
"Tell me anything, or everything! And I promise, I'll tell you whatever it is about my dad - well, our dad - that you'd like to know."
