When Henry said it was a date, and then nervously recovered himself, saying instead that it would be a study meeting, it was easy to notice his embarrassment. Alexa felt similarly, and looked the opposite direction, blushing fiercely.

But she got it under control and turned back to him, only for him to say that she sounded amazing. This made her blush again, but she didn’t look away this time, and gave him a small smile. “Thanks, Henry. I’m glad we’re friends too!”

He seemed to think deeply about her question. When he began to answer, she nodded. She remembered some of the stuff from the train, but some of it was new. “Why do you sometimes feel isolated?” She asked in concern when he finished.

When he asked about her family, the smile slowly faded from her face. “Oh…um… It’s just me and my parents. They’re both Muggles.” She hesitated, wondering if she should say what was on her mind about her family. She’d been thinking about it constantly lately. She decided to jump in headfirst: “Actually, I just got a letter a couple of weeks ago. It was from dad, and he told me they were getting a divorce. He didn’t go into details, but I know they haven’t been getting along for a while.” She looked down at her shoes. “It was easier for them when I was there, but now that I’m here all the time, I think they got on each other’s nerves more. It’s been so tense at home the past two years… I’m glad to be at Hogwarts, but I don’t know what to do about them splitting up…”

She shook her head, looked away and discreetly wiped her eyes. “But enough of that,” she said, looking back at him. “What about your family?” She tried to smile, but it was shaky.

Henry smiled when Alexa spoke and was feeling less embarrass now that he recovered from that face plant in a way he was feeling more comfortable around the girl. Henry looked from the opposite wall of the dungeon to Alexa, it seemed even in darkness she still was visible so he looked in her bright green eyes, like the type of green that reminder you of a summer day or to Henry type of green that a Welsh dragon had. He heard her question and at first felt his anxiety looming over his head for a bit as he took a breath, his throat felt like it was closing up before he spoke" I just have mixed feelings about this place I guess. I mean at times I see this place as a home surrounded by my friends than at other times I feel isolated I guess, I don't know I guess I just mean I miss my brother during those times. Were really close, like best friends almost even with the age gap."

Henry adore his older brother and always wanted to make his proud probably why he tried his hardest in classes and read ahead in his textbooks. Henry stared at Alexa as she spoke about her family, he smiled at the thought of having a small family, of being a only child but then he felt bad for her when she mentioned her parents getting a divorce. He wanted to say something but what? He was searching for the words even though she said to move on and posed him with the question he still wanted to say something, anything.

Finally finding the words Henry spoke " Alexa I'm really sorry, that must be awful but I'm sure it's not your fault that, that's happening and if you ever need to talk about it know that I will always be here for you," Henry offered the girl a smile he really did want to help her but couldn't find anymore words to explain how.

Henry the leaned his head back on the wall as he smile and spoke with some more ease " my family, well I used to love in godric hollow but moved to Liverpool because of my father's work. He works in the department of the regulation and control of magical creatures at the ministry. Then my brother; Arthur is 19 and currently in his second year for his auror training, he's the best. Him and me are really like best friends, closer than brothers sometimes. Then there's my twin who's uh a squib, we never been that close but sometimes I feel Hogwarts pulls us even after a part now," Henry felt comfortable around Alexa and so at ease that he didn't even know he was continuing " when I was 6, my family was attacked my a duo of werewolves. My mum was a auror so many believed we were targeted anyway she died and I got starched making me one to."

Seeing his words Henry stopped talking and felt his heart pound whole his head throb, he felt nauseous. How could he have done that? He needed to run but he couldn't move, his legs felt as cold as the dungeon floor and his thoughts were flying in and our his mind as light speed until he finally spoke in almost a whisper " I'm sorry I said that, I shouldn't have said that - but now you know I'm a werewolf. Although I'm not like most and won't hurt you, I promise Alexa," he stared at Alex's bright green eyes with pleading eyes he hoped she won't mind, he hoped she didn't have prejudiced.

Alexa listened quietly when Henry spoke about feeling isolated sometimes, and missing his brother. Having never had siblings, she was rather used to isolation, but while she may have been used to it, that didn’t mean she enjoyed it. When not with Alina and now Lucia, she felt lonely at Hogwarts, if she let herself. It’s just that there was so much to do, there was hardly any time to feel lonely between schoolwork and exploring the castle and grounds, sometimes just by herself. She definitely understood isolation, and nodded her understanding to him.

He listened to her talk about her family, and even though she said to move on, she took the time to let her know that he was sorry, and that he was there for her if she needed him. Alexa smiled slightly at him, very grateful for what he had said. But there was a lump in her throat that she couldn’t seem to get past to thank him out loud. Hopefully he saw it in her expression.

He went on a long explanation of his family, mentioning his squib twin brother, and the older twin brother he was so close to. Then he mentioned something that she definitely had not expected…

Henry was a werewolf. He stared at her pleadingly to understand, and while she was surprised by the information, certainly, she had grown up in a Muggle household, and therefore had no prejudices that some young wizards and witches grew up with.

She gave a shaky laugh. “I have to say, that certainly surprised me. But no Henry, it doesn’t bother me, and I’m glad you told me. I trust you not to hurt me.” She smiled at him, warmly. He was still the same boy who was her friend, he just had a furry little problem! “How do you manage being a werewolf at Hogwarts?” She asked curiously.

Henry was taken back by her answer at first but then smiled, he was glad that he found friends who weren't biased and didn't hold any prejudices about werewolves or other things. Even though he was embarrassed and took his head off of the wall to look at Alexa in her bright green eyes, he was also relaxed and even through telling her was a accident some part of him actually was relieved and happy that he did in the first place. Which was a scary thing for Henry but also comforting to know that he didn't just ruin a friendship, still he couldn't just blurt stuff out.

Henry smiled at her as he fidgeted with his hands and spoke " that's good to know because I would hate to lose such an amazing friend like you Alexa," Henry then thought about her next question before saying " it's easier at Hogwarts than at home since they provide us wolfbane potions and a place for us to hide away during full moons. At home well I always had a safe place to stay during full moons, just having wolfbane potions wasn't always available sometimes I had it and sometimes I didn't," Henry looked away he hated talking about his problem and even so ran his hand across his shirt, even with the fabric he felt the scar on his chest and eventually the gold rusted sun pendant hidden underneath his shirt as well.

Henry shook his head a bit as he pushed back his hair and spoke " you sort of reminder of my twin, she's always looking for adventure to. Just your kinder and understanding," Henry then leaned his head on the dungeon wall while still looking at Alexa before saying " enough of me, tell me more about you Alexa?"

After Alexa had spoken, Henry had turned to look into her eyes. Hers widened in surprise. How had she not noticed how blue his eyes were before? Surely she had, but she had just never been this close, and his eyes seemed to sparkle in the torchlight from the dungeon wall. She blushed again and looked away as he began to speak.

When he called her an amazing friend, she smiled slightly and looked down at her hands in her lap, her hair falling forward to obscure her face. When he began answering her question about being a werewolf at Hogwarts, she tucked her hair behind her ears and looked at him as he spoke.

“What does the wolfsbane potion do? Where do you guys have to hide during the full moon? If it’s okay that I ask,” she quickly added. But then she saw him look away, and could’ve bitten her tongue. He obviously didn’t like to talk about this, so she wouldn’t ask any more questions. She saw him touch his chest again, but he wasn’t panicked this time, and she wondered what the gesture meant.

“What’s it like to have a twin? Is she upset that you have magic and she doesn’t?” She asked quietly. And then Henry asked to hear more about her, and Alexa laughed slightly. “There’s not a whole lot more to me; I’m pretty simple. I like it that way. I really enjoy schoolwork, which I guess makes me somewhat weird to some people! But I like to succeed and excel. I like singing. A lot, though I don’t do it much lately because I’m always surrounded by people. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m kind of shy,” she said blushing. “But you are really easy to talk to, Henry. I’m glad we’re friends.”

Henry would have mind talking about his condition with someone else but with Alexa he didn't, in fact he felt comfortable around her like he could tell her anything almost. Henry smiled toward the girl and a part of him was glad that they were friends, that they did meet in diagon alley and later on the Hogwarts express.

Hearing her next question he smiled a bit as he leaned his head back on the dungeon wall and thought for a while before saying " wolfbane potion is something that if a werewolf drinks for a week leading up to the full moon then when they transform instead of their mind almost going dormant and forgetting who they are during that night, they remember who they are and keep their mind so they could simply lay down and sleep off the full moon almost," Henry smiled toward Alexa as his eyes lingered on her green ones before continuing " I don't know if your suppose to know so don't tell anyone Alexa but werewolves here go to the shrieking shack on nights of the full moon," it felt odd to him saying that but also still felt rather at ease there in the dungeon with Alexa.

Henry then stared at the other side of the wall as he thought of her words, unsure what to say. Until as he fiddled with his hands Henry spoke " my twin and I never really been close, we are close since we share a room and all but never that close you know? I don't think Annabeth really cared that she doesn't have magic, she never acted like she cares even through sometimes she does," Henry ended with that, unsure if he should say anything else.

Luck for him through Alexa spoke and be smiled at her words as he looked at her bright green eyes and spoke " if your weird then I am to since
I love school work also not to mention wanting to excel also," he smiled at her a bit as he stared in to her green eyes before continuing " I don't like admitting it because I don't know if you noticed but I'm shy to," he laughed a bit before continuing " however I sing to, of course not in front of other uh. And your easy to talk to, to Alexa and I'm half were friends to."

Alexa listened to the explanation of the wolfsbane potion with fascination. And when he mentioned that they all hid in the Shrieking Shack, she couldn’t help but smile. “That makes sense, since everyone’s terrified of the place. I heard from an older student there is a secret entrance, but I have no idea what it is. Might be a cool place to check out some time, though certainly not on the full moon!” She chuckled. “Wouldn’t want to disturb you guys. Are there a lot of werewolves at Hogwarts?”


She watched him fiddle with his hands after her question about his twin, and wondered if she had made him uncomfortable. She was about to blurt out that she was sorry for asking, because it was none of her business, when he went ahead and answered. Alexa nodded. “But you’re much closer to your older brother the Auror? Is that what you want to be when you finish Hogwarts?” She tried to change the subject a little bit to make him more comfortable.

When he said he was weird also, Alexa laughed out loud. “Good thing, since we are friends,” she said with a smile.

She was fascinated by his admission to being a singer. “Really? What do you like to sing? I only know Muggle music from growing up, but they have a lot of really good music! I like a lot of the older stuff, stuff before we were born.” Then she added, very shyly, looking down, “Maybe we could sing together sometime…” She trailed off and scuffed her old trainer into the floor of the dungeon nervously. Was that taking things too far?

Henry smiled as he listened to Alexa talk about the shrieking shack and visiting it sometime. Which gave the boy a idea one that he would say out loud " yeah there is a secret entrance by the whomping willow, maybe I can show you sometime? And next year when we can go to hogsmeade maybe I could show you the shrieking shack?" Henry smiled at her as he felt comfortable around her which was a feeling he haven't felt in a while or with to many people as he continued "there's a few, there aren't that many werewolves here but I don't know the exact number many tend to keep it a secret. I think only the professors really know exactly how many."

Henry listened to her change the subject as he leaned his head back against the cool, damp wall of the dungeon before he would speak " my brother; uh Arthur isn't a auror yet technically. He's currently doing his second and third year of the training together so by the summer he should be officially a auror," Henry smiled but he wasn't that happy about the thought since he never liked the ministry and could never imagine himself working for them. However he hasn't decided what he wanted to do after hogwarts as he spoke " I don't think a career as a auror is for me. I been looking at careers like; magizoologist, journalist possibly, or maybe something where I can help better the lives of werewolves, muggle borns, and others."

Henry smiled at her before letting his hair fall over his eyes and saying " what careers are you looking at Alexa?" Henry pushed his hair back from his eyes as he heard her words and smiled with a nod toward her in agreement. Henry was more than glad that they were friends as he was sitting there in the dungeon listening to her.

Henry listened to her talk about singing and songs, he smiled at her and looked into her bright green eyes for a moment before learning his head back on the wall and replying " uh I know muggle music to, both current and some stuff from before we were born. What do you like to sing Alexa?" Henry smiled at her as he looked a bit at Alexa still with his head against the wall before he would say " I would love to sing with you Alexa, just in private right? I don't think I'm brave enough to sing in front a large group yet."

Alexa’s eyebrows went up in surprise when she heard about the Whomping Willow secret entrance. That would definitely be a good place to hide something; that tree was mean!

“I’d love to go see that with you sometime, and go to the Shrieking Shack with you,” she smiled brightly at Henry, pleased with the invitations. She felt very comfortable with him, which surprised her, since they really didn’t know each other that well. He just had a good feeling about him. And anybody who loved animals was a good person, in her book!

“That makes sense, that they keep it secret. There are still so many people with prejudices and problems. I’ve only learned about that recently, since I’m Muggle born.” She had read in the papers and in some textbooks about the struggle of werewolves to function in wizarding society without stigmatization. She hoped Henry would never have to face that.

“Oh, I didn’t realize there was training to be an Auror.” But of course there is, she thought, wanting to smack her forehead. The most elite of dark wizard catchers would need extra training even after Hogwarts.

“Yeah, I don’t really think I could be an Auror, either. A little too intense for me. I didn’t know there was such a thing as a zoologist for wizards and witches! That’s definitely something I have to look into,” she smiled as she thought about working with magical creatures. “I think it would be great if you got a career helping others,” she smiled at him. She could tell he was very compassionate, and felt like that would be a good option for him, a career helping others. As for herself…

“I honestly haven’t really thought about it yet, though I guess I should start, since we have our big exams fifth year… Yeah, I think I would really like to do something with animals, magical creatures. That would be incredible.” She also had the urge to help people, she was very empathetic, but she didn’t know if her shyness would allow her to do that. But she was less shy this year than last year, so that was improvement, right?

Alexa blushed slightly when he asked her what she liked to sing. “There’s this one artist, Billy Joel, that my parents love. It’s about the only thing besides me they both like,” she laughed tiredly. “But I enjoy singing his songs, just higher than his voice. Octave up, I think,” she added, remembering the little she had learned in choir before she came to Hogwarts.

“What kind of music and what artists do you listen to? And definitely in private,” she said, laughing nervously. “I don’t really like to sing in front of groups, either,” she said, meeting his blue eyes. They were very blue!

Henry smiled and felt as if he could squeal but he didn't when she replied instead he would say " that great, maybe our third year during a hogsmeade trip I could show you," Henry really never been to the place when it wasn't a full moon so he was looking forward to experiencing the Shack during normal hours of the day with a friend like Alexa.

Henry nodded a bit when she mentioned prejudiced, it was one thing that the boy hated about the wizarding world and wasn't afraid to admit ad he turned and looked at her bright green eyes as he spoke " wizarding world prejudiced is just bloody disgusting. I kind of wish I could help change that, someday when I'm older of course and not just got muggleborns and werewolves but for everyone," Henry smiled at Alexa as he watched her orange hair almost dance in the flickering of the touches around them and her bright green eyes seemed almost like a cat's curious eyes to Henry.

As their talked moved to careers, Henry was less excited since he didn't really know what he wanted as a career or he didn't really see where his future would be in 10 years. As his anxiety grew, Henry drummed his fingers on his leg opposite from Alexa as he looked into her bright green eyed before speaking " uh yeah three years of addition schooling to become auror but I think he trying to take the second and third year this year through so he could take the test in the summer holiday and officially become a auror," Henry smiled at Alexa before continuing a bit more excitedly, "if we both go into careers in creatures or magizoologists maybe we could collaborate and even become partners?"

Henry laughed a bit as he was glad that he was friends with someone like Alexa, who had similarities with him but was also really cool according to the boy. Henry listened to her talk about their 5th year and owls, Henry hoped that he would be able to make his brother proud and achieve all O's like him as he spoke " I guess we have till our 5th year hit a career with creatures would be bloody amazing."

Henry nodded and listened to her talk about the muggle artist; Billy Joel before asking him what music he listened to and what artists to. Henry remembered when he was ten and first moved to Liverpool, getting the Eyepod or Ipod from the muggle man who worked at a nearby music store then a few of the muggle children telling him about musicals and Broadway shows. Henry thought for a little before saying " I sing mostly older stuff but both the wizarding and muggle world since my father added
singing to my twins and I lessons before Hogwarts, " he gave her a smile before continuing " but after moving to Liverpool pool two or so years ago and meeting a few muggles. I now know some uh Broadway shows? Like: Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton. I also know a few other current artists now like Ed Sheeran and uh-"
