Lace noticed the boy that was behind her sat himself down opposite to herself and the other girl, closest seat to the window. It was sort of funny seeing the two boys together. They had similar features, red hair, pale skin, but they were far different in their body language. Lace was still very put-off by the maturity of the original boy, she couldn't wrap her head around his presence and adult like mannerisms.
He was first to answer her question though, stating that his name was Aldor Humbleglow. Lace was sure she had seen a book with an authors name very similar to that in her mothers collection of literature. Still the last name was funny sounding, 'humbleglow' she mouthed to herself, with only a slight giggle. The boy who was sat by the window was the next to answer, his elbow leaned against the window, his ginger locks of hair resting in his hand as he holds his head. He had said to call him Alex, she liked the name Alex. It was much more normal and reminded her of an old friend she used to have in primary school called the same name. Alex also mentions he is from Ulster, Lace had never been to Ireland but she had friends and family from there. That is how she recognized the slight accent from both the boys.
The girl to her side was the last to answer saying that her name was Aella. Lace hadn't heard this name before either, but she like the way it sounded. Something about it was elegant, but striking. Lace nervously tries to hand Aella a smile, before looking away her eyes darting between the two boys. It was very different on this train, a lot of the children seemed to know each other, raised in the wizarding world. After the brief moment of silence Aella is the first to break it. “What houses do you think you’ll all get?” Aella asks. Lace hadn't put much thought into it if she was being honest, but perhaps she should have. Even so, Lace quickly comes up with an answer. "Well my mother was Hufflepuff, but Id like to think I could make a good Gryffindor. All the older Gryffindor kids seem so brave". Lace takes a brief pause, finally deciding to lay the book she had been clutching to her chest down to her lap. It was a copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, by Newt Scamander. She had hardly gotten to look through the first page, but something about the mystical beasts of the world intrigued Lace. "I suppose I'd be happy with any house though, they all seem to be very talented." Lace finished, her finger tracing the books title on the front cover.

Aldor would think for a moment, as he analized every single one of them, tilting his head a few centimetersto the side, he seemed curious.
''Well-'' He said, with a quiet tone, as he began playing with his hair again.
''I believe Gryffindor is everyone's most common option- although, I wouldn't mind being a Hufflepuff- I've heard they are quite- nice-'' He would stop once again as he thought about the fact that his aunt used to be a Slytherin, maybe he could get lucky and end up in the same house, yet, he was still unsure on how the sorting would work, maybe he could choose where he could be.
Whatever it was, Aldor couldn't wait to see the castle, and now things surely would get better, possible new friends? Everything was going to perfectly, maybe he should be much careful from now on, being paranoic is not the best in this sittuation, but being the type of person he is, he can't help but feeling like this.
''So- do you remember what happened when you showed your first magic?- I recall starting a storm inside of my- parents house- later on that day our neighbors came over and asked what happened and my parents only said there was a leak in the plumbing of the house-''
If the parents had to lie, it was clear they lived around muggles, could it be that Aldor was one himself?

Alexander kept his mouth shut at the mention of houses. He had heard others talking of them, but had no idea what they were. Not wanting to sound like an idiot by getting something wrong, he decided to just wait until someone brought up a different topic of conversation. He stared around the compartment as the others talked. His eyes fell upon Io, who was leaning against the door. "The hell is a 'hefflepiff'? This magic stuff is weird..."
Alexander laughed quietly. "you can say that again," He whispered under his breath.
insert aldor's sentence here
Alex snapped back to reality. This was a conversation he could participate in! Hooray!
He couldn't help but be amused by Aldor's story. Starting a rainstorm indoors? Something about that seemed strangely fitting for the other Irish boy.
"That's pretty impressive. Making it rain inside? That's way more impressive than what I did." He said, shaking his head slightly. "a couple months ago, on my birthday, I-"
"God, No, don't say that!" shouted Io, walking in front of Alex. "making your cake grow bigger? Jesus Christ, You'll sound greedy as hell! Make a good impression! Say something funny!
Alexander went quite for the minute that Io was telling him this. He blinked, realising he had been in the middle of a sentence. Ok, Ok, something funny...
"uh, yeah, when me and my parents went in to cut the cake, It... Exploded. It exploded all over the place, and there was confetti and sweets and stuff... It was like a pinatta!" He said, finishing with a weak laugh. He had realised halfway through that his lie wasn't that believable, but it wasn't as if anyone could prove it was a lie.
For context, Io is an imaginary friend of Alex's.

Aella looked at them noting their responses Hufflepuff seems to be a popular answer “I hope I get Slytherin most of my family are Slytherins it’ll be weird if I’m not”
She then noticed the boy Alex hadn’t said his house instead he told a rather funny story of his first time using magic it got a small smile out of Aella. The two boys seemed to be deep in thought often getting lost in their own minds Aella grew intrigued.
“I got angry with my parents and shattered a vase” Her story wasn’t the most interesting and she wasn’t building it up into a big extravagant event, she always knew she was a witch being from a pure blood family and all she just had to wait until her magic surfaced and when it did her parents weren’t even that bothered about the vase, well her father wasn’t her mother had a few choice words.
The train began to move which made her flinch slightly from the sudden movement finally she thought. Aella looked out the window watching as they left the station she couldn’t wait to get to Hogwarts and finally learn magic it was all so exciting for her.
As she thought about Hogwarts she wondered if anyone was a muggle born of if they grew up in the muggle world. She could never imagine being in a world without magic it seems so odd to her.

Her eyes still danced between her peers awaiting their answers to Aella's question. Aldor mentions his liking for Hufflepuff and their kindness. 'He would make a good Hufflepuff' she thought to herself. Lace musters up a half a smile when Aldor makes mention of our first time using magic. Though it had been a few months since her use of magic, she could remember it like it was yesterday. The look on Fiona Firnfoots face was priceless. At times just the thought of it would make her giggle. Aldor's story of an indoor storm was intriguing, 'who knew magic had so many possibilities.'
After Aldor spoke, Lace noticed a mutter come from Alex, though she couldn't make out what he had said, she began watching him much more closely then the other two. After a brief pause Alex perks back up and begins praising Aldor for his interesting story of indoor storms. He then starts a sentence that seemed to be the beginning of his story of how he became aware of his own magic. Though in the middle of his sentence he took a pause, a pause far too long in Lace's opinion. Noticing this hesitation, Lace quickly narrows her gaze at the boy. 'Most of us had just experienced our little puff of accidental magic recently. Wouldn't it be odd that he struggled so hard to remember it?' she thought to herself. But trying to avoid conflict and not scare off her new found friends she chose to bite her tongue on the subject.
Though Lace had noticed that Alex never mentioned a house that he may be interested in, she takes note of this. Aella mentioned that she comes from a family of Slytherin, Lace's shoulders tense for just a moment. Her mother made mention of some of the Slytherin students being more unkind then others, but she would try her best not to judge this girl so harshly. Aella goes on to make a very brief comment about her magical attunement, it seemed rushed and uninteresting. 'Perhaps she wasn't too fond of the experience. ' Lace thought.
Taking a moment to rebalance herself as the train leaves the station, Lace perks up. "Funny story actually, you see this girl I went to primary school with, well she was an absolute nitwit. She would constantly talk about how much money she had and how her parents would take her on the finest vacations. But worst of all she used to stick things like pencils in my hair cause she thought it was funny that they didn't fall out. So one day I had, had enough, and she stuck a pencil in my hair and I turned around grabbed her by her blonde birds nest and all of the sudden in an instant it turned blue. The look on her face when she later realized I turned her perfectly groomed blonde hair into a bundle of blue hay was hilarious. I still have a good giggle about it sometimes." Lace says noticeably withholding a laugh. "Anyway I'll be honest I am still very new to the whole witch thing, but I've heard we may get to actually interact with some of the fantastic magical beasts. I don't know much about them yet, but I'm very excited to learn. What subjects are you all most excited for?" Lace says her finger going back to tracing her book.

Aldor would shrug, as he played with his hair, he wasn't really sure about this, he really enjoyed any class that involved reading, and he was sure that Hogwarts would have a few of them, his aunt said that Hogwarts had a massive library, which contained the very best titles of the magic world, just thinking about it made Aldor shiver out of excitement.
Even though, he has always been interested in magical beings as well, he would kill just to be able to take care of a dragon, although, his favorite dragon has always been the Antipodean Opalaye, he has never been able to see one himself, but after a few descriptions he read, and looking at illustrations that people put in books, he has fallen in love with those wonderful multi-colored eyes.
''I would be more than grateful to work with magical beings of any kind, since I was really little I wanted to see a dragon so- I kind of feel interested about that, but really, anything that involves books? I am probably going to enjoy it-'' He would pause for a moment, as he thought of something else to say.
''Do- any of you like dragons?'' He would let out a small smile, as he waited for an answer, again, something was still off.

"Oh, damn!" laughed Alex upon hearing Lace's story. "She sounds like she deserved that."
@Lace Koin Would you mind owling me what hex code you use when you speak?
"Oh, I'm actually looking forward to Transfiguration. Turning one thing into another, and stuff like that..." He said, but he wasn't really focusing on what he was saying. Lace had mentioned that they would be interacting with magical creatures. This alarmed him ever so slightly; he had read through some of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and in his opinion a lot of them seemed quite dangerous.
You can imagine his genuine shock when Aldor mentioned dragons. He doubted they would be let near a school, but he was more surprised simply by the fact that they exist. He had asummed that if they were real, normal people would have noticed them by now.
Then again, wizards had also managed to keep themselves, a government and a huge castle in the Scottish Highlands completely hidden.
Due to his lack of knowledge in regards to magical creatures, he once again decied it would be better to keep his mouth shut.

Alexander was relieved to know that he wasn't the only one in the compartment who had only learned of magic recently. He paused for a moment, thinking. He had briefly flicked through some of his textbooks, so he knew a little bit about some of his future subjects, but he couldn't remember most of them. Then, he remebered one that had particularly interested him."Anyway I'll be honest I am still very new to the whole witch thing, but I've heard we may get to actually interact with some of the fantastic magical beasts. Aella noticed Lace’s shoulders tighten when she mentioned Slytherin and Aella clenched her teeth to stop from saying something and she stayed quiet for a while just listening to them talk about their experiences with magic and what classes they were looking forward to, her experience with magic seemed boring compared to the other three but then again she didn’t want to talk about it much so she was glad they weren’t interested.
She was also intrigued by care of magical creatures they seemed fascinating to her but she was most looking forward to Defence against the dark arts. “Dragons are cool” She muttered and kept looking out the window watching the scenery pass them by “I guess I’m looking forward to defence against the dark arts but I don’t really like classes”
What Aella had come to realise is that the three of them seemed to be bookworms or at least they liked books a lot more than her, she had never been interested in school work or reading but they seemed nice enough so far at least, her guard was still up incase they weren’t as kind as they were showing.
She kept her eyes fixed on the window as she tapped a finger against her leg getting lost in her thoughts, she wondered what Hogwarts would be like and how it would be to cast spells.
“Have any of you had experience with magic before? From you parents or something?” She asked curiously and she looked away from the window, Aella had seen her parents doing magic and she wondered if the others had too.

Lace giggles when Alex seemed amused by her story. She was beginning to grow more trusting of the boy, something about him still seemed so familiar to her. Lace begins to watch Alex more closely, with kind eyes and a soft smile. Aldor was the first to answer her question. 'Dragons seemed interesting, though I hope they wouldn't allow creatures like that anywhere near campus.' Thought Lace. Alex was the next to answer her question making mention of transfiguration, Lace wasn't entirely sure how it worked, but it did seem rather useful. Perhaps her mother used spells like this before and she just couldn't remember?
Aella was the last to answer, she apparently also enjoyed the idea of dragons. 'What is wrong with these kids, dragons are entirely too dangerous' Thought Lace. Though Lace perks up at the mention of the Defense against the Dark Arts class. This one was also very interesting to her, as her mother had said it is one of the most important. Laces mother's biggest worry was the threat of other not so kind witches and wizards, so being able to protect herself was high on the priority list. "I am also excited for Defense against the Dark Arts, seems pretty useful." Lace says smiling at the girl, this smile much less forced then the one before.
Aella then goes on to ask about her experience with magic. Lace hadn't had all that much experience growing up in a primarily muggle run household, but she did see her mother use it once or twice. Lace is quick to answer the girls question. "Well my mama was muggle-born, she doesn't use magic much, but I've seen it once or twice. Part of me is pretty sure she was hoping I wouldn't inherit the magical gene, her and I are the only two in the family." Lace says, surprised at how willing she was to share. Lace sort of awkwardly chuckles and then brings her attention back to the boy staring out the window. Every now and again she would quickly look back down at her book to avoid him catching her watching at him.

Aldor would stop for a moment, taking a brief second to think about what he was about to say, but at last, he couldn't help himself but say it carelessly.
''Both of my parents are muggles- so are my siblings- I showed my first magic and kind of got- given away to my aunt- after a while I finally got my letter and- here I am, I guess I am just happy to be somewhere were I won't be judged for having magic-''
He paused once again, and under his breath he only said.
''Now I will just have to deal with being judged for being a mugle-born, yay-''
He would cross his arms, still keeping the same gentle smile, this time, he broke eye contact with all of them, but as soon as he realized that he might have acted in an awkward way, he simply letted out a chuckle, and continued.
''I mean- It can not be that bad, right? Like, Hogwarts must be wonderful, and the library- just thinking about the amount of books I can read in my free time makes me smile- maybe the only thing that does not make me feel amused about Hogwarts is the dorms- I am not good at sleeping early at all and I surely won't sleep any better with other people nearby- ''
