"It was nice to meet you too, Haley," she smiled to the girl. "Let me know if you should need anything," she knew how it felt to be a First Year. There was the classes and the work and the studying for exams. There was the awful teachers and the projects and the errands and the letters home. The high expectations and the friendships formed, friendships broken, boys met, boys left. There was the homesickness. All of it.

But she wished the best for Haley Rose and hoped that her first year of Hogwarts would be great. It wasn't all awful, just a lot of new things to take in all at once and she meant it. If she could be there at all for her she was willing to do her very best to try and help.

The first bit of her First Year was spent isolating herself from others. From Everyone. That had been a mistake. Alina learned that it was much easier to do many of the things there when there was someone else to help guide you, to help learn with, to help push you, than to ever try to do herself. She didn't see Haley as the isolating type though and felt she would succeed just fine at Hogwarts.
