Matrix turned to look at her and Allie blushed even harder, her eyes slipping away from his once again. She knew the question she'd ask might have made everything a little awkward, but she really wanted to know what he said. “Well uh. . . Y-yes, I think I do.” At his response, Allie twisted her hair around her fingertip again and again. She knew she should have been expecting that answer, but it just felt so. . . weird. Just a few moments ago she had thought no one at Hogwarts really liked her in that way, and now Matrix had told her that he did.
“D-do you ma-maybe like me?” His nervous voice startled the girl out of her thoughts and she bit her lip, unsure of what to say in reply. She should have known he was going to ask her back. If she was being honest with herself about his question, well. . . Allie thought back to all the times she had talked to Matrix. She had always felt comfortable around him, and she thought he was sweet, but did she really like him in that way? Blushing, she peeked up at him and hurriedly looked away again. Suddenly the Ravenclaw was aware that she felt all weird and it wasn't just in her head. Her stomach felt all fluttery. . .
Realization dawned on her and she bit her lip before whispering in a nervous, shy voice: "Yes, I do. . ." she hesitated. "I really, really do." This time she said it more certainly. She wondered what they were going to do after this. . . but she really hoped everything wouldn't be all awkward.Sorry it took a bit!

Similarities
Matrix would sweat, awaiting Allie’s response. He really hoped she liked him back because it would be really awkward if she did not. Matrix would let out a sigh of relief when Allie said that she liked him back.
Matrix had no idea what to do, or ever thought of these things. Moving around so much, he could never afford to think of these stuff. Sure, maybe a few times it may have crossed his mind, but he would just brush them out. On top of that, he was still so young. His parents had told him that he had to only focus on studying. So why did he feel this way about Allie? This is basically opposite of what he had been doing for so long. It was just something about her. Something that made him forget, and have a desire to try this new thing.
Matrix would then notice that he had finished eating, and lunch time was close to being done. “So uh, I guess I will see you at the dance” He would say with a small shy smile. A feeling of accomplishment fell over him. Not only for feeling independent, making his own decisions. But for having the confidence to ask out such a pretty and kind girl. Matrix would feel a sense of excitement for the dance, and he hoped whatever it was between then, to continue.
