Dee just shook her head and snorted. "Well, I hope you're prepared for revenge, because this time I can actually cast at you, too."

Her first horseshoe landed on her post with delightful precision - this was easy - but a quick look around told her that not everybody had fared as well. Thomas had succeeded, and so had Lizzie, who had apparently managed to sink her horseshoe so deeply into the ground around her pole that there was no hope of ever stealing that one. Dee couldn't hold back a small, impressed noise - it was the first time she'd ever seen Lizzie cast a spell, but apparently she was not to be underestimated.

"Good job, Lizzie," she called over to the blonde girl, grinning. At least there was some worthy competition around, right?

Apart from her fellow Ravenclaws, however, the other participants hadn't had much success - one of the Hufflepuffs had not managed to lift her horseshoe with her spell, one just hadn't done anything, the Slytherin boy had just botched his spell. Most impressively, maybe, Cash's horseshoe just had not been inclined to do as told at all, and was now lying near the poles, open for grabs, and Dee was not going to let that opportunity pass by. "Wingardium Leviosa!" she called, hoping her quick reaction would give her an edge.

No matter the success of her horseshoe-grabbing-endeavors, she'd try to hook another horseshoe from the pile around her pole, just as before.

Widening her eyes, Lizzie grinned while jumping up and down looking at her horse shoe. She had done it. She had successfully cast a spell that hadn't backfired and it was in front of other people who could vouch for her. It was a lovely birthday so far. She had no reason to allow anyone to ruin it after she had watched the horseshoe be lodged into the ground. At least no one could steal it.

"Oh, hi Cassie." Lizzie stated while waving towards her former best friend. She didn't even know if Cassie was a nickname she went by anymore. It had been a while since they had seen each other. For some reason they had lost contact all together for a few months which had been very unexpected to Lizzie. She then saw a person who she considered someone as a possible friend and waved enthusiastically at her, "Hi Dealla! Thank you! You did well to. Did you see what I did?"

She grinned and looked towards her friend who had failed and now people were trying to go for it as well. "Cassie, I would recommend going for a different horseshoe but use the Levitate thingy instead." She said while pointing at the round metal thing before turning to her own and yet again waving her wand around while mumbling, "Wingadirum Leviosa." She however wouldn't pass up a chance to get a bonus point and then quickly muttered under her breath another, "Wingadirum Leviosa."

Nick held his breath as he waited for the horseshoe to leave his hand. He kept waiting, though, and nothing happened. It shook his hand but, nothing. He would throw his horseshoe on the ground in anguish, but these students were ruthless, four people already lunging for the horseshoe that one of their purple-haired classmates had dropped. Nick would do it too though, he wanted to win.

He only knew a couple of people here, but it was only slightly so he didn't want to spark conversation. Besides, he was here to win, the prize was candy! So, Nick was surprised when someone clapped his back in condolence. He yelped a bit, but tried to keep his cool afterwards, especially when he saw it was Ami, the girl hosting the event. Her attitude was very eccentric so he was worried she would make fun of him. He nodded his thanks and went back to planning his next move.

Being a one-trick pony, Nick readied his wand to do the spell again. He knew that he would have a better chance for this spell than the other one, he was pretty aggressive with his spells, so he would just try again. Worried that him holding it was the problem - it wasn't obviously - he decided he would let go of the horseshoe in midair just in case.

Taking a deep breath, Nick readied his wand and the horseshoe. The horseshoe would drop quickly because, gravity, so he would have to be quick. He spoke, "Flipendo." and started making the wand movement. Just as he flicked his wand, he dropped the horseshoe, hoping that the magic would hit the horseshoe harder if his hand wasn't acting as a hindrance.

Nick didn't wait to see if it landed on the pole, everyone was running towards the bonus horseshoe, and he wanted to be the one the got it. He turned to the stray horseshoe, made the swish and flick motion, and yelled, "Flipendo!" as if the volume of the spell would affect the power. He wondered what the original owner of the horseshoe thought about this onslaught.

The green eyes thought that they had it in the bag for the first horseshoe but fate said otherwise. They done it right the incantation and the wand movement for the Knockback Jinx. When the first horseshoe flop ungracefully in the middle of the ground, Cash blinked back. "What the-"The purple hair can not believe it.

They prided themselves in Charms but when it come to fly out a simple horseshoe into the pole, they can not do it. Cash grumbled under their breath. When a hard thunk came from where Lizzie stood, Cash looked at their former best friend. Since when Lizzie become that strong?, Cash thought internally.

But then again a lot can happen over the summer and since both of the student lost contact with each other, Cash just let it be. Lizzie greeted them with their former nickname. "It is Cash now"The purple hair inform the blonde Ravenclaw. It is look like all the Ravenclaws succeeded put their respective horseshoes into the pole.

Cash then look over to Lizzie again. Cash remembered the Ravenclaw once had long blonde hair but now she cut it short. "Nice haircut, Liz"They said, wand still at their hand. "We should catch up sometimes, you know for the duet that we would done before you left Pei's get-together"Cash remind Lizzie that the blonde promised a duet.

The green eyes then focus themselves at the task at hand. They could try to sabotage one of the opposing players but it is still to early in the game. Dee was kind enough at the fight club that all the Slytherins got roped into and the other Ravenclaw boy, Cash hardly know him. Cash about to try using Flipendo again but this time around less aggressive from the previous one.

Cash debate internally whether they will do the Knockback Jinx again or sabotage the game. Until Lizzie chimed in and suggested to use the levitating charm. Cash completely forgot about the other spell. "Right! Thanks, mate"Cash replied to Lizzie. Forgetting about their previous failure, Cash make a 'swish and flick' move with their wand.

"Here goes nothing"They said before saying the incantation for the charm. "Wingardium Laviosa"They stated. Everyone that using this spell succeeded putting their horseshoes into the pole, Cash hoping it will do the same with theirs next horseshoe.

Serena succeeded in lifting her horseshoe off of the ground; however, it seemed as if she underestimated how much power was needed. The horseshoe landed with a clunk right in front of the pole. Serena let out a quick huff. She would just have to add a bit more power to her next cast.

Serena gave her fellow Hufflepuff a small grin. Yes, next time would be better. The twelve-year-old then let out a small giggle at the redhead’s wand jab. “Thanks for the encouragement.” She replied with a smile.

Turning back to the pile of horseshoes, Serena once again did the spell movement for the levitation charm. “Wingardium Leviosa!” She shouted, doing her best to add more power to her cast.

Before she saw the results of her spell, Serena was distracted by a yell from the redheaded event organizer. Whipping her head in the direction of the voice, the blonde girl noticed a horseshoe in front of a fellow competitor with purple hair. Everyone seemed to be fighting for it. Serena decided to join in the fray by lifting her wand and casting the levitation charm once more. “Wingardium Leviosa!” She cast, wishing that she would be the lucky one to get the bonus point.

As @Cassanda Ironwoods' horseshoe landed on the ground, there was a stillness that hung over the contestants as their minds wrapped around what Ami had hollered. And before Cash could even blink, four cries of "Wingardium Leviosa!", one yelled "Flipendo!", and a pattering of feet exploded into the air. It seemed that everyone wanted to get their hands on Cash's now discarded horseshoe, with five different spells and a pair of hands pulling at it. Ultimately, it seemed that @Lizzie Verdine's spell was the strongest, and the horseshoe flew across the field, hooking itself around the Ravenclaw's pole.

"Nice going," Ami said, clearly impressed. But now that the commotion had died down, the second years turned back to their own horseshoes. @Thomas Baines and @Dealla Prince both sent their horseshoes sailing neatly through the air, landing around their respective poles with light clinks. Thomas even got an OOC head pat for his boogaloo-ing! (sorry, Willow said I wasn't allowed to give extra points) Clearly, the two knew what they were doing, and Ami flashed them both a big thumbs up and a grin. "Holy smokes... I'd want you two on my side in a duel," she said, clearly blown away by their levitation skills. "Great shots, guys!"

@Lucia Fox had seemed to come out of her previous trance when she ran for the horseshoe, even if her attempt had ultimately ended in failure. But now, she was ready to go for the gold. The horseshoe in her hand went flying through the air, landing neatly around her pole. "Great job, kid!" Ami said encouragingly, grinning at her fellow Hufflepuff. Her gaze shifted over to the previously triumphant Ravenclaw as Lizzie cast her spell, and winced sympathetically as the horseshoe just missed the pole. "Better luck next time," she said with a shrug as she walked past.

Similarly to her housemate, @Serena Bowen managed to land her horseshoe quite successfully, earning her a wide grin from Ami. "See, I knew you could do it!" she cheered, pleased that the younger girl had been successful this time around. @Caelan Stewart, on the other hand, still seemed to be having a bit of trouble scoring any points. While this time, he managed to send his horseshoe backflipping through the air in a high arc towards his pole, it clattered against the metal and rolled away. Clapping him on the shoulder (again), Ami sighed sympathetically. "It's alright," she said, "You'll get it next time! Just... I don't know, take a deep breath, I guess. Or don't, I don't know. I'm definitely not qualified to give advice."

Leaving poor Nick sitting with that confusing string of words, Ami watched as Cash tried to get their horseshoe to go where they wanted it to go. Unfortunately, it fell short again, although this time it was at least quite close to the pole. "Put a little oomph behind it!" Ami called over to the purple-haired student, echoing her words to Serena.

Checking her non-existent watch that wasn't on her wrist with an exaggerated flourish, Ami called out, "Four more minutes! Four more minutes, everyone!" Hey, there was always something to be said for estimations, right?

"Was that a threat, Dee?" Thomas asked, the coy tone he employed clearly conveying that he knew exactly what the comment was. The Ravenclaw boy was cocky, perhaps too cocky, so it was inevitable that the battle for the discarded horseshoe was lost by the boy. Inwardly he was rather disappointed, but outwardly he shot a thumbs up towards Lizzie. "Nice one! Seems like when you keep your hand on your wand, you're capable of some serious damage." Though Thomas didn't intend for the compliment to come out so... Backhanded, the boy was a natural at seeming like a jerk. As a delayed reaction of sorts, the young wizard slowly lowered his hand. Rather than jump to ameliorate the situation and apologize, Thomas metaphorically dug in his heels and kept his confident smile unwavering.

Callie would probably scold him for the comment later.

Regardless of his wandering thoughts and his big mouth, Thomas managed to snap his attention back to the game, eyes on the prize. The desire to sabotage his opponents was, well, tempting to say the least. The fact that he was allowed within the rules to do so almost prevented it, however, his spiteful demeanor only truly flourishing when acting outside of the regulations of the game. Instead, he decided to just keep up what he was doing, waiting for someone else to try and sabotage him. Even without Lizzie's rather flamboyant spellcasting, Thomas was still tied for first, and he couldn't help but think that it would happen eventually. "Wingardium Leviosa...! Again, I guess."

Dee answered Thomas's question with a bright grin. "Just an observation," she said, a picture of nonchalance. It was true, too. At the Chess Combat event, because of the roles they'd been assigned, Thomas had been in a position to strike at Dee, while the rules had prevented her from retaliating. No such thing here.

For a second, Dee felt like she was gaining control in the battle for Cash's lost horseshoe, and a triumphant smile was starting to spread on her face. It was so close - just a little more - and then she lost it. Lizzie had managed to overpower her, and everyone else who had attempted to steal it, and Dee had to admit a little grudgingly that she was starting to be more and more impressed by the blonde girl's abilities. Maybe she'd underestimated her. But then Lizzie failed to hook a new horseshoe around her pole while Dee's settled around her own gracefully, and the world shifted a little back into balance. Ami's comment earned a brilliant smile which was bordering on smug.

But, no time to waste! There were more horseshoes to get. Currently it looked like she was tied for first place - all Ravenclaws seemed to be doing rather well, actually. Well, she wasn't going to be outdone by the others, not now or in any future rounds. Picking another horseshoe as her target, she made another attempt at levitation.

The desire for victory deep in everyone's minds, Nick's spell flew into a flurry of others that were all going towards the horseshoe that had gone astray. His luckily casted, but it wasn't the most powerful. The shoe flew out of the magical cloud of smoke and landed on a pole, not his own. He looked and saw it belonged to a blonde-haired girl. 'Good for her...' Nick thought, turning back to his own pile.

His spell actually cast this time, which gave Nick a glimmer of hope as he saw it fly through the air. The hope was fleeting, though, as the shoe banged around the pole and sadly fell right next to it. The second attempt was better than the first one, so maybe dropping the horseshoe in the middle of the spell helped a bit. Probably not, but he hasn't scored yet so anything that could help gave Nick a glimmer of hope.

The girl hosting the event clapped him on the back again, but he was prepared this time. Nick gave her an exasperated nod as she tried her best to give him some advice. He's tried to hit three different horseshoe and none of them have hit. He was stubborn, though, and would continue to use the same spell. He did the same swish and flick motion, the same "Flipendo" incantation, and the same drop in midair, praying something, anything, works.

Cash definitely seething internally when they saw their next horse shoe come up short, again. First they used Flipendo and it did not work as the horse shoe flopped in the middle of the ground, resulting the others five opponents fighting their luck for Cash's abandoned horseshoe.

Next they used the levitation charm and the result their horseshoe fell down quite close to the pole. But Cash definitely did not satisfied with the result. Cash looked at Lucia. Even Lucia after she came out from whatever stupor she was in, manage to score a horseshoe into her pole. "What the actual fuck"They breathe out under their breath.

The young socialite rarely utter profanity unless they are under duress. When the fourth year yelled out the reminder time for the game, Cash gritted their jaw. This time around they need to play dirty if they want to gain some horseshoe to loop around their pole. Cash hate to play dirty but they willing to try anything to score just one of those bloody stubborn horseshoe.

The green eyes then aimed their wand to one of the opposing players. Some of the players Cash acquainted too and it feels wrong to do what they will do, but things need to be done in a certain way. Cash eying the trio Ravenclaws who so far managed to control their spell casting. Cash could aimed it at Lizzie's horseshoe, since she is a strong contender in this game.

The purple hair also can aimed it to Dee's horseshoe but Cash did not know Dee that well and it left one last Ravenclaw for Cash to aimed at. If only they can steal the others three horse shoes all at once, it will be satisfying for the green eyes. Alas they only can pick one. With that thought in mind, Cash aimed their wand to one of the unlucky Ravenclaws.

"Flipendo"They yelled out their frustration to their victim horseshoe. The fourth year told them to put a little oomph to their casting. They will abide by what they were told to do. If this attempt did not work like their two previous attempted, Cash will took drastic measure to win. Whatever it takes.
