The Audition

"Hello, welcome to the audition!" said Elisabeth with a friendly smile to the girl who had just entered the Rehearsal Room. She had drumsticks in her hand, so she must be auditioning to be a drummer. The Hufflepuff was glad, because everyone seemed to be waiting for a professional drummer and at last here she was. Previously, everyone was anxious and even non-verbally seemed to ask each other, "Do you play drums?" with their eyes.
Gladly, the eleven-year-old handed Melissa a sign-up sheet. "Could you please help me fill this in? It's just to track who's who in case there are multiple students auditioning for the same position," she explained.
Henry had asked if he could play something while waiting, and since no one had answered his question whether there were requests, Elisabeth replied to him, "Sure, we wouldn't mind if you practice - or have fun - while waiting." And then, turning to both Cash and Cade, "You too, feel free to practice!"
However, now that they had all positions to auditioned for, they could start right after everyone handed in their sign-up sheets. "After you all hand in your papers, I think we can start the audition!" said Elisabeth cheerfully to the four other students. She hoped they were all enjoying this just as much as she was.
