Katrina really needs a distraction from just schoolwork all the time and this seems like an excellent way to do that and improve her wand skills. Katrina really enjoyed the ability to be around new people and needs a way to de-stress as well.

The only reason Lucille had even thought about joining the 'S.W.A.G' club was because she was hardly skilled in the art of spellwork. Plus, a few already known acquaintances were involved in the group, so why not take a chance and get a bit of experience in the process?

Honestly, Astrea had no business joining a club or anything of the sort. But the promise of spell practice and mock duelling had been something quite intriguing, an interest to lead her to join SWAG and participate in each of its events with all of herself. Now, between the failure that had been the Blossom Ball and the sure increase of parental control as she got older, SWAG is something she needs to both focus herself of as things become more chaotic and a method of silently proving that she can be more than spell competent.

Bridget's decision to remain in S.W.A.G. Club had required almost no thought. It was a chance to get better at her spell-casting and she was going to take it, even if between studying and Quidditch she barely had any time to spare. Beyond just the opportunity it gave her to practice her spells, the club also offered an escape from all the year's worries, however short, and she had the feeling she was going to need it.

Pericles' first romp with SWAG was a blast. He enjoyed the combination of comradery and competition he got to experience, but especially the chance to practice his combative casting. He will continue to attend swag to better familiarize himself with dueling (that isn't quite as tame as matches under professor supervision).
