OOC: It's fine, take as much time as you need!"Alright." That was good at least- Lea didn't have to worry about May feeling upset over her interest in other houses. The girl mused over the meanings of each of them for a few moments longer. Slyther-something certainly didn't sound like her house, but maybe Gryff-whatever worked. She wasn't entirely sure. The girl blinked a bit, realizing that she was trying to figure out her house- figure out Hogwarts- and that, in her mind, was bad. Quickly the young girl would brush off the thoughts, desperately trying to find something else to think about.
May saved her with some more comments.
A small part of Lea's brain would sense something off, but it was a shadow. The rest was sure her cousin's words were true- after all, what was there to lie about? Nothing, exactly. "Alright, thank you."
Let the good people come to her? How was that going to happen? Lea had always gone over to her friends who had welcomed her easily. But Hogwarts was different, maybe it was a different strategy. The brown-haired girl would nod lightly, keeping the knowledge in the back of her mind. "I'll try that out."
"Is there... anything more I should know? Let the good people come to me, houses and all, and magic." The girl would refrain from spitting out the word, glancing up quickly to look at May. "Oh, and how long do the train rides last? Is that the only way to get to Hogwarts?"

May was a bit glad that Lea was following her lead, most of all because it made her feel important and superior, nonetheless, she wanted to prepare her cousin for the magic of Hogwarts and its mysteries. And she didn't want her to be worried either way.
"Oh, the train is a long ride. Maybe 5 hours? I haven't calculated it exacly. But it is long." she explained. Then, not wanting to make her cousin think it would be bore some she quickly added, "But it will be fun. The lunch trolley is coming sooner or later." she winked at Lea, not wanting to reveal the surprise of different sugars and candies that weren't at all like the muggle world.
"I do think it's the only way to get there." she said. "I haven't really considered it before. You can't apparate inside or disapparate, because it is extremely protected by enchantments, but....I think you can enter from Hogsmeade? Oh, and you will go there by boat, the first years always do that."
Then, she considered how she would get to Hogwarts. She had seen a few carriages before in her first year but they didn't have any horses....

5 hours?! The lunch trolley had better be fun, Lea decided, almost positive she would die of boredom before lunch came along. Thank goodness she had her cousin here and a ton of books. Maybe the young girl would survive such a lengthy trip. But she trusted May in that the lunch trolley would be fun. "Aww.... why not just tell me?" She was happy, though, and curious about what this might be.
"So, you're saying this trip could be shorter?" Because if so, Lea had more questions for this school. If it wasn't already bad enough, adding a 5 hour train ride to the mix seemed horrible. And while Lea didn't want to upset May over her choice of schools, the 11 year old could do little to hide her annoyance should the question be proven true. "The boats'll probably be cool, though," she muttered more to herself, deciding to not focus on negatives for now. She had plenty of time to do that later.
The petite girl would kick her feet in the air, perched off the side of her seat now. Brown eyes watched her shoes as they moved up and down, excitement and boredom taking hold as thoughts of what would be stayed in her head. "How much longer do you think 'til we get to Hogwarts?" The lunch trolley hadn't even came yet.

Yes, five hours could be really long for someone who had to go alone on the Hogwarts Express. May had that experience last year, sadly. But now that Lea had company, May knew that the new hogwarts student wouldn't be as bored as May had been.@Lea Hirsch
Well, yeah. The lunch trolley has wizarding sweets, which are very different to the ones we are used to at home. I won't spoil you the fun of discovering it when it does come, but don't worry, you won't die of curiosity either. It'll probably come soon." May said, thinking about the chocolate frogs that she would buy that afternoon for herself and her cousin. "There's also this village, you know," May said, talking about Hogsmeade a villge that she had gone to out of bounds a few times. "Where they have this shop in which they sell super sweets. Only third years are allowed thought." she said, looking at Lea suspiciously. If May had gotten into trouble last year and been a mistchevious Hufflepuff did not mean that Lea had to be one too.
"Yeah, the boats are cool. You go on groups of four or five and swim across the lake. It's a very magical experience- but you'll probably have better ones." May said, nodding. "Did you buy your wand? How did it go?" May said eagerly, wondering what wand her cousin had got. She was proud of her own, her Black walnut wood one with a phoenix feather core.

Wizarding sweets? Of all the changes she had expected (and there were bound to be many), Lea had never expected a change in the candy. Was muggle candy rare- an edible prized possession? Had she known before, the girl might've packed some with her. Her eyes lit up with the excitement of being able to taste these treats for the first time, while her eyebrows still furrowed in confusion.
"Village?" No, she did not know. It sounded like a cool place, although unfortunate that only third years could go. How did they regulate such a place? "Is that- what about during breaks?" Was it just during the school year that first and second years couldn't go, or something else? The suspicious look seem uncalled for, though, silently asking What? The first year wasn't going to break the rules so quickly. Rules were there for a reason, after all.
"Ohhh... interesting." Boats seemed cool as well, a lot of stuff that needed to happen on this first day?She supposed it made up for the length of the trip there. "Oh- yeah!" While Lea and magic might not have agreed, getting a wand had actually been rather fun. She didn't expect the wand to actually do anything, but it was fun to examine and imagine. Fishing her wand out, the girl would present the light chestnut wood. It seemed rather simplistic in design, the ridges spaced out to offer different grips. "What does yours look like?"
