The music festival was happening at The Field of Remembrance, a large park that was given in remembrance for those that people have lost. It was a park enjoyed by the village and its wildlife and often music festivals just like this one would be held. Two known celebrities of the music world lived there in Windlesham Village. These two neighbors of Alina's always performed and invited some of their musician friends to come join in the festivities.

One neighbor was Bryan May, legendary guitarist and song writer of the muggle rock group Queen. He was more than just that though, he was also a producer, a performer, a Doctor of Astrophysics, a 3-D stereoscopic photographic authority, a passionate advocate, and a campaigner for animal rights.

The other constant was Sir Elton Hercules John, also known by his stage name as Elton John. He was Alina's person favorite, even if Brian May was the one that taught her how to play the piano. She didn't know how much Rose knew of muggle music but she always got the feeling that Queen and Elton John both seemed to be pretty big.

The park was within walking distance of Updown Court, the name of the house that Alina lived in, named long before the Rosiers moved in. "I don't know all who is supposed to be there this time. Of course Brian and Elton. Shamefully, I don't know a lot about muggle music," she admitted. "Blind Faith is another from here in Surrey and they're going to be performing, Arctic Monkeys," she smiled because there weren't monkeys in the arctic. What an odd name! "The 1975, Florence and the Machine, The Wombats, Razorlight..." Maybe they all had odd names.

@Alina Rosier
Rose really didn't know much at all about Muggle music. She had been raised by a Pureblood witch most of her life and really didn't have much muggle influence, she had barely any.
So when Alina was talking about Muggle bands, Rose had no idea what she was talking about, but she smiled and nodded, pretending to be interested.
"I know even less than you about all this..." Rose remarked.
Band names, all of them, were quite peculiar.
But deep down, she wondered if they meant something serious... Take the Arctic Monkeys, for example. Maybe they felt out of place, like they didn't belong anywhere else. Or the first of their kind, unique.
Some of them she couldn't make any guesses to possible sense, but some of them, she had a good time thinking about.
Rose kept an eye out for Bella, she wanted to meet her. If it had been just Alina, Bella, and Rose, Rose probably would ask her about why in the heck she wanted to go to Beauxbatons, but it would probably be rude to ask in a crowd like this. The festival had a decent turnout, nothing less or more than what Rose had expected, really.

They took it all in for a bit, just wandering through the crowd. It was the perfect day for something like this - while warm, a slight breeze kept it peaceful. Perfect.

"I'll show you where Bella and I normally like to be,"
she said as she led her over towards some elaborate white tents pitched up for shade. There weren't too many people there, most wanted to be right up with the music but it was plenty loud enough to hear from anywhere in the park really.

"It's really a shame you two didn't meet during the school year. I should have made that happen."
And now Bella was going off to a different school. Oh well, maybe the two would make friends while Rose was visiting and if she would visit again.

As they got closer, there was a girl that looked exactly like Alina, only in different clothing. One wouldn't have to ask if that was Bella. "Hey, Bells," Alina greeted her sister and smiled. "I want to introduce you to Rose. Rose Moon."

Her sister had been standing with two others around their age and politely excused herself to come over ad join her sister and friend. "Hey, Lina! I was wondering when you'd get here. Hello, Rose. I'm Bella. The better twin," and Alina just rolled her eyes and muttered playfully, "...Better at being conceited."

Rose followed Alina into the shade, it felt good on the hot day. She knew that as the night rolled on she might get cold (if they stayed out that long, that is), but she really didn't care, it was pretty mid afternoon right now.
"That's okay, we can meet-" Rose spied Bella making her way over. "Right now."
Yup, Bella was a Slytherin all right, claiming for everyone in the park to hear that she was the better twin of the two. Alina's response tickled her for some reason and Rose laughed just a little at the sibling rivalry- she saw it often in her own siblings, them claiing who was better. Rose often had to stop it before it came to a heated argument. Rose really didn't have a favorite between her siblings. Good humoredly, Rose replied, "Well, I can't really be one to judge since I just met you."
She also smiled at their nicknames they had for each other, it made Rose think, even if it possibly turned out wasn't true, it at least made the illusion they were close. Rose was glad for that, at least. She had been worrying about Alina all summer, how miserable her dad was making her life, and it turned out pretty good, actually, which made Rose happy. Still, there could be something Alina wasn't telling her or that hadn't happened yet, but how was she to know? For now, she was happy.
"It's good to finally meet you, Bella," Rose continued, raising her voice a little over the chatter around them. Rose knew that Bella probably wanted to get back to her friends, so if Bella left, Rose would just turn to Alina. "You two probably often get asked this question, but do you know who was born first?"

"Me," Alina said proudly while Bella just rolled her eyes because it was something else that the two could bicker about as siblings and twins. It gave Alina the 'one up' on her sister in a way. "I guess at the hospital they had me as Baby A and Belles as Baby B, so that's where the Alina with an A and Bella with a B came from." She had just discovered that information that Summer through one of the many talks with her father.

Bella's eyes wandered a bit and Alina looked over her shoulder to see Lucas heading their way. He was a local boy and one that Bella was rather fond of. "We'll see you at home!" Alina told her sister and grabbed Rose's wrist gently to tug her aside. After they had stepped away, she explained, "Bella fancies the boy that's heading up. I thought we'd give her some space. Plus, we need to check out the taco stand and then go take in some of the music. After all, that's what music festivals are for...music and tacos," at least tacos in her book were included.

So the two did just that. They heard some good bands, one terrible band that the two couldn't stop laughing with but they still danced and tried to encourage them. They listened to a little bit of one more before calling it an evening and heading back to Alina's house. "I'm glad you were able to come visit," Alina smiled to Rose. "It's weird not seeing my friends all the time like at school." She missed them.

Alina answered, almost proudly. Well, pretty proudly. Rose had two pairs of twins for cousins and the older would always taunt the younger about it. It was brought up really often. Then came up a boy that Bella apparently fancied and Alina pulled them away. Rose thought it was really thoughtful of her to leave her alone with the boy like that.
Music and tacos.
Rose found that strange, at first, because she never really associated music festivals with tacos. But apparently Alina did.
Then she thought about how, in her book, some things went together that, at first, you wouldn't think about. Like Christmas and America. Chicken and rice. Thanksgiving and strawberry pie.
These things that were ingrained in her memory, the little things. With memories, little tiny memories that made her associate the things together. She guessed that there was something behind "music and tacos."
So Rose followed her. The tacos weren't bad, actually. And they had a lot of fun. Rose was really glad to see Alina having fun, which made the whole evening that much more fun.
It was kinda late in the evening when Rose and Alina called it a day. Rose didn't buy anything to take home as a souvenir, except for the taco napkin she was given. She hoped she would remember this day forever and ever.
They went back to Alina's house castle.
"I know, right?" Rose replied to Alina, her eyes wide. "You spend ten months around the same people and then you fall out of touch for two."
Rose knew her and Alina didn't, but they were really close, so they almost had to get together during the summer.
"What else can we do? What else do we have time for?" Rose asked Alina, her eyes bright. It was kinda late to start something, but maybe Alina had a plan? "Do you have anything planned?"

"No, but we should take in some swimming!"
She rushed up the staircase with Rose behind her and the two girls went to Alina's bedroom where she got her swimsuit out of her dresser and Rose went through her luggage to find hers. "It's one of my favorite rooms in the house. It's a sort of mermaid/island theme. Hurry and get changed, I think you'll love it too." She let Rose take the en suite bathroom while she hurried and changed in the bedroom, stopping when she was done to tie her hair up.

"We needn't worry about towels, they'll be down there. Come on!" She led Rose again downstairs where they went to the East Wing where the swimming pool was. If one continued down 'under the bridge' and over, they would enter the other pool which was deeper and more elegant, with a ceiling with a charm to mimic the night stars. Alina adored the indoor pools of her home and she could swim like a fish.

The two girls started in the first part, the mermaid/island themed room. Inside it was much warmer, encouraging one to get right into the pool without feeling cold. Alina didn't hesitate to begin down the stone stairs into the shallow pool that mimicked the colors and shimmering of mermaid scales.

Swimming. Rose did want to swim, especially in her pool, it sounded super fun. Rose felt like she would get lost in Alina's castle, it was so big. But she was already starting to learn how it was laid out.
She went in the bathroom and she got dressed in her swimsuit. She did like her swimsuit, with the little leaves on it. It was comfortable.
Rose came into the pool room and gasped. It wasn't one of those dramatic gasps that was drawn out, just little one, barely audible. "It's beautiful, Alina. How in the world...?" It was beautiful, any girl's dream of a pool, and the smell of chlorine was present but not overpowering. Rose marveled a little more at it, wishing she had a pool like this in her house, before approaching the pool.
There were some people who jumped right in the pool with this ginormous splash, saying it was the best way to get used to the temperature. But, like other things, Rose took a teensy bit more time than most to do just about everything. And it was a great deal quieter, as well. Rose didn't have a strong opinion or anything about this, though she could probably defend it in a debate (what kind of debate is that?!), it was just how she did it. She stepped in the pool after Alina, going down the steps. "It's warm," Rose commented, a little surprised. It must be heated, either the room or the pool or both. What does this house not have?
It really did feel good. Most pools were really cold, and Rose did not like cold pools. Eventually, you did get used to them, but you had to go through the cold to get there.

"Yeah, much better than having to get used to chilly water," Alina said as she waded out from the stairs. "I always like to start here because I feel like it sets the tone," she shrugged, not sure if her friend would feel the same. They headed out past the changing stain glass window and down the stream part, which went under a little bridge which opened then up into the larger pool area with the shimmering night sky, although still inside.

Alina now went under the water since the pool got deeper. Swimming was something she always found relaxing and it was a great sport for someone like her with a condition. Other sports could hurt her but usually swimming was pretty calm. She came up for a breath along the other side of the pool. "You know, I plan to swim in the Black Lake this year. I heard it was very cold." And there were grindylows and merpeople. Maybe it wasn't the best of ideas but she was determined.

It was something she hadn't done yet and Alina did love a good adventure. "I've even heard about the Giant Squid but I've never gotten the opportunity to see him." Apparently he had shown himself to many others. She'd like to see him someday.

The Dangerously Inclined @Alina Rosier
"It does set the mood," Rose agreed. She quickly pulled her hair over one shoulder to braid it- if left down, her hair would be really tangled and would feel like straw, and she hated that. She was a quick braider, she had practiced a lot. She went under the water, swimming near the bottom, catching up with Alina to the deeper part. Rose had always felt so calm, so graceful in the water.
This part was gorgeous, and felt more elegant than the other side of the pool. As a kid, if Rose lived here, her and her siblings would have made up so many roleplay games to play, it was the perfect setting.
Rose knew her house was not as beautiful as Alina's, and kinda felt bad.
"When we were back at Hogwarts, you were talking about a theme- did you decide on one?" Alina had been really excited about their sleepover, talking about themes and how she hadn't really had any sleepovers-slash-slumber parties. Rose really was glad that it had worked out for Alina to have a sleepover. "Have you seen any of your other friends, other than Clifton, I mean," Rose knew she would have to inquire Alina about this Clifton, why she liked him, if he was really sweet, all the things about Alina's official boyfriend. And maybe Alina would ask her about Eyre... Rose knew she would have to bring it up, or Alina would tell her off for keeping it from her. Maybe Alina would ask if there was anyone once Rose was done with her.
When they came up for air on the other side of the pool, Alina mentioned swimming in the Black Lake. Rose's eyebrows jumped up. "You what?" Oh, it was so like Alina to try something that looked fun but promised to be very very dangerous. "Isn't swimming in the Lake forbidden or something?" It would make a lot of sense for it to be against the rules to swim in the Black Lake... Why was a school next to a dangerous lake and a dangerous forest, anyway? "Oh, yeah, it's really cold, nothing like this pool," Rose said with a smirk. A shade more serious, the Gryffindor inside Rose added, "I'm not one to discourage you from doing it, but don't do it without me, or someone else, at least, you might need someone to pull you out." Rose didn't want to loose Alina, her enthusiastic Hufflepuff friend was the kind of friend that you wanted to keep forever and ever and ever. There were merpeople and grindylows in there, as well as the Giant Squid.
Speaking of the Giant Squid... "I've always wanted to see him, too," Rose confessed. She spent a lot of time around the lake, since it was really calming and natural around there. But she had never seen the Giant Squid, and she had never seriously considered swimming in the lake.
Rose had always been pretty good at diving in the pool, and she dropped beneath the surface for a little bit, kicking off the side of the pool towards the bottom. It really was a deep pool, but Rose touched the bottom with both hands before kicking herself back up towards the air.
Oh, she loved the water.
