Fear Doesn't Just Go Away PV Closed

Katrina was feeling the effects of the panic attack slowly subsiding. Her heart rate slowing to the point she couldn't hear it in her ears anymore. Her shakiness slowly becoming more controllable. Her breathing wasn't quite as forced. Amadea, did she know it or not, had made a really significant impact. It seemed when someone else was around, she could deal with it easier. Except, of course, the fact that she never wanted to admit to anyone that something was wrong. She never wanted to appear weak.

Katrina managed a small smile at Amadea's comment, it was quite a bit, wasn't it. It tended to be easier to have something to do. It kept Katrina from wandering and wasting away hours.

"I'm glad you go on those walks then," Katrina joked, wishing her voice wasn't strained. Out of everything, she was just glad that Amadea had been nice. If it had been someone rude or heartless that came up to Katrina she wasn't sure how she would have handled it.

As the two girls walked down the paths back to the castle and talked about easy topics. Calming topics. Topics that were safe and not sparking of bad things. It was sad to admit how long it had been since Katrina had even been able to do that. If Katrina talked, it was usually about deep things, things that meant a lot and were hard to talk about. But with Amadea it was just pleasant things. As the two girls went their separate ways, Katrina actually felt relieved, sure the effects panic attack wasn't completely gone, but it was easily manageable now.
