Dublin Summer Meetup!

Lizzie couldn't help but laugh at her own stupidity, as a guy --she assumed it was the guy who organized the meetup, she couldn't remember his name though-- made a point to draw attention to his shirt, which read I'm a Wizard. It was pretty obvious, now that she noticed what his shirt said, that she was in the right place for the meetup.
Although she couldn't help but cringe at being called "love", she was laughing along with the guy as he finished speaking. She sorta wanted to comment on it, maybe say something about in most muggles' eyes, they are weirdos, but that sorta ruined the joke, and she hated to be the one to do that.
She followed the group up the stairs, marveling at the bookshop the entire time. She never was an avid reader, but The Winding Staircase was making her reconsider her choices. Maybe if she picked up reading, she could spend more time in bookstores. There was a sort of peaceful aura surrounding the store that made her feel like she could get everything she needed to get done finished and still have time to read a book.
The first thing she spotted when she reached the top of the staircase was the table full of pastries. Before she even had a chance to process exactly which pastries were on there, and that there even was a table full of them, she found herself crossing the room and standing at the table. Which to choose... Which to choose... They all looked so good! The temptation to eat them all was too real.
Too busy contemplating which pastries to try, she failed to notice another girl joining the party, as well as whatever the guy who'd arranged it had said. She still didn't know his name, it was sorta embarrassing in her opinion.
When she heard one of the boys say something about something being a good cover for when they talk about stuff, a confused look crossed her face, and she turned towards the boy who'd just spoken. "What's a good cover?" she asked, taking a bite from her chosen pastry immediately after she finished speaking. She noticed a new face in the group, a tall girl, who looked like she was a couple of years older than most of them. Like everyone else, Lizzie didn't recognize her, but she obviously went to Hogwarts if she was there for the meet-up.

At first, Leonard had been less than pleased at the prospect of having to interact with even more people. There were only so many jokes he could borrow from children's books before being branded as boring. And in any case, there was only one thing to do during a social event: judge everyone and act as passive aggressively needed accordingly.
Henry was a slight annoyance, with his disgusting run-on sentences and wish to one-up every single being on the planet until he was with Major Tom in outer space. Great thing one of his few skills was avoiding things that quite obviously needed to be confronted. Zyk, he now knew, was one of the more likable ones. With a name much less common than his own (something rare, go figure. Apparently nobody respected the artistic greatness of Spock's actor), and the hosting skills of someone much better than most. Miranda, Lizzie, and Dymphna all seemed to be friendly enough, so he'd be wary of those lot. All in all, not bad.
He followed them up, skipping the food. The entire reason he was in Dublin in the first place was for his father (and him, if the latter forgot his tea) discuss pastry pricing and the positives and negatives of adding pizzas to the already astounding amounts of croissants and other fancy french breads in their roster.
“Grand opening right there, ten out of ten,” he clapped as Zyk officially opened their meeting. “Can’t wait until we kill some hydras.”
He turned to the redheaded girl, who asked what exactly a good cover meant.
“Well, Dungeons and Dragons is a muggle game, innit? Some of the older kids in my neighbourhood love playing that. It’s all a bunch of characters like elves and wizards,” he smiled at the girl. “Though, of course, not all of us are the old, bearded men that they think we are. If they hear some stuff about magic, they’ll assume we’re just discussing our game. Which we are!” He shouted down the hall, making sure of the fact. Hopefully, she’d find this humorous, as well as the others. If he weren’t Public Enemy Number One, being the funny one of the group was something just as good.

After his display of the opening to their little 'meeting', he'd hop down from his stand and settle to walk towards the group that had gathered in the cafe area of their meeting place. Nodding over to Henry and the others with a smile upon his features still, "Yeah mate, my mom figured that one out," he said with a hint of admiration in his tone. Shifting around then, he'd listen to Leonards' explanation to the girl, Lizzie, before moving over towards a table and pull himself out a chair to plant himself down upon. Leaning back, he looked as if he was completely at ease and relaxed with his surroundings at the time.
"So, watcha guys favorite spells ya' learned this last year, eh?" he questioned to the group, "I gotta' knack for dem charms, so, the freezing charm, Immobulus, has been my gone to as of late'," he nodded to himself.
Maybe a host of more grace would have asked their houses and what year they were in, but, he didn't really care about that sort of information. In truth, it was just his thinking to make friends outside of the pressures of the school that dwelled upon them as they studied within its walls. Both of his hands would then come up to rest behind the back of his head as he leaned back into the chair, fingers interlocking and holding his head up steady as he looked over the gathered bunch.
If another wanted to ask about their individual houses, he'd leave it to them, instead, he continued with the subject he had previously questioned, "Also, not a huge fan of the Astrology stuff, the homework is such a bore!" he blatantly stated, a hint of guilt rode through him hoping none of them would take this in offense though.
Zykeal just smiled though, waiting for anyone willing to delve in the conversation to speak up.
OOC Note: My posts will be around 300ish word from now on to try and make the easy of casual conversation smoother to post.

Henry was worried that he would be the awkward one in the group or the outsider but it seemed like everyone didn't know anyone too well, actually out of the group he technically already knew Miranda and Leonard even through he didn't talk much to the slytherin. As Henry watch the Leonard explain to the girl; Lizzie about dungeon and dragons he then heard Zykeal speak to the whole group as he sat down at a table. Henry thought the boy looked quite at home as he asked them about their favorite charms that they learn and said his own as well as the class he disliked the most, Henry was in disbelief he thought he would be quite awkward in any conversation that happen. He imagine that they would talk of Quidditch or hobbies or stuff like that but instead Zykeal mention classes and charms, two things that Henry both knew about and enjoyed. As he tossed his napkin in the rubbish bin, he then made his way to Zykeal's table and sat down on the opposite side of the boy as he waited for someone else to speak.
As time past and Henry noticed that no one spoke yet, he thought about speaking himself since he did gain in confidence over his first year and definitely wouldn't stutter or get anxious but he was still unsure as he looked around at the rest, he couldn't help but get anxious and fill his head with lists of pros and cons on speaking up, he was after all a nature anxious person and there was nothing to do about that. As he thought about what to say, memories of the rest of his summer filled his mind including just a few days ago, Henry ran a hand through his hair while he shook his head to push those thoughts from his mind. He finally decided on what to say, since only two people their knew what year he was in, it wouldn't sound like he was bragging or ahead if he said a charm that wasn't taught in first year as he spoke " that's cool, I actually fancy summoning charms myself mate. Both the theory and uses for the charm is bloody wicked," Henry then paused as he hoped that neither Miranda or Leonard thought he was bragging or anything for saying the summoning charm since they both knew he was a first year. He then thought about his least favorite class and hoped that the other's won't judge him or think he weird or a outsider for it, as he took a breath before speaking " Uh, I actually enjoy astronomy but I'm just a nutter because I enjoy almost every class. Uh, I am particularly not a fan of flying through." Henry paused again as he looked around at the others and hope that none of them would view him as a weirdo or a outsider as he continued "Uh, not that I have anything against flying or quidditch, I just never liked it myself but I still cheer on my mates house teams." Henry knew none of them besides from Miranda or Leonard knew what house he was in and Miranda knew that Henry always cheered for either ravenclaw or gryffindor even hufflepuff because he had more friends in those houses then he rarely ever cheered for slytherin but Leonard didn't know so hopefully he won't take offense to that or anything since Leonard seemed like a short temper person. As Henry looked around he couldn't help but think how amazing and bloody brilliant this place is, he was more than glad that he was there than with his father who at the moment Henry rather not be with.
