Never in their wildest dream that they will be attending such barbaric event that they in right now. It seems fun at first. Getting an invitation albeit it is a bit cryptic and vague. The green eyes girl should have know from the very beginning that tattoos that magically appeared was and is never a good sign. Curse them and their curious side.

When the burning flesh of them being branded and later on a number printed on their skin, the socialite should have known the better but oh well everything had done now. When the first fight begin, Cash look horrid with what will happen to them and those whose belong to their team also the other team.

While in their team, they being civil to one another but it is a different story on the other team.
Nico and Opeila on each other throat that make the roaring that come from the audience more deafening. Cash look at the other team. The other team short on people but it does not mean the young Slytherin girl should underestimated them.

Cash then looked on the mattress of the ring. It got blood on several spots. As the days progress from the summer camp up to this moment, Cash hoping to end it with a bang. The good kind of bang but not like this. On top their father being missing on the job and their mother rarely home, they should have rage that bigger than anyone in here.

They can punch someone or some people until the other person give up or maybe gasping for their life. But then both of their parents always tell them resolve a fight with words not fist. If worst come worst and the purple dyed hair girl has to fight, they will fight and they will not stop until the other person lay still on the bloody mat.

The screaming match between Nico and Opeila escalated, with the chiming from the other prefect did not help the situation at the moment. Cash needs to concentrate and strain their ears to hear what Dee has to said. The green eyes girl catches the word 'manipulate', 'being their puppet', and 'the spiders in the Common Room'.

Cash then turn their head to Dee. "I completely agree with you but I do not think Victor will let us out from this horrible nightmare unscathed. I do not care about Vladimir of whomever will fight him in the end, I just want to go home and sleep it off this monstrous day"Cash told the Raven then sigh. The event barely begin and they already have a splitting headache.

"But if I have to fight against them,"Cash pointed out the other team with their chin. Their green eyes fixated on Opeila. One of their dorm mate other than Koko and Persephone. "I will make sure I will win, whatever it takes"Cash eyes suddenly become cold. They did not want to hurt Opeila since the girl belong to the same dorm as the other two girls but still someone need to throw the first punch or kick so the day be over soon.

"Time to get back to the ground, don't you think?"

A joke from @Opeila Seilun? Odd how that made him feel better, how it removed the complicated sentiments he felt. He did not look real, as if he should be alive. The inside was as the outside now was and a part of him wondered if soon he would turn to dust. Not that it would matter, when he was gone he would be remembered by none or very few.

"As I told 'your boi' Vladimir before, I had no hand in you being robbed. I didn't know of the existance of that plan until it happened. Second point. We never were a thing. He was the one sending me strange loveletters, asking me out. It was him and him only. I accepted his invitation to the ball so I could ask him questions, that is all. And I only let him into the common room because he helped me carrying my books after my bag broke. A stupid coincidence! Stories that you are twisting up now."

She claimed. How convenient her allies whose eyes were all on them had nothing to do with her. An innocent girl stuck in the middle of the fiery chaos that was the ball. That she had no interest in Vladimir, but he was sending her love letters. Plural. Maybe he had an interest. Maybe he was playing her also. Walking into the ball he was prepared, dressed most certainly not to dance in contrast to his own foppish attire. He was foolishly interested in Wren, irritated by Vladimir's insinuation that he should not trust. Trust who? The girl that was too pretty for him to say yes but somehow did? Her friend who he reached out to, who he thought could be his friend too until he attacked Vladimir dedicating his act of violence to Potter's honor. No, it was a set-up. He shook his head side to side, the skin taut across his face as he gave a lop-sided leer. "Tch, you really think I believe that?" The rhetorical sarcasm would have to wait, his words had earned Opeila the ire and wrath of a one @Nico Shymane.

Her red eyes would glare into Opeila. The festering animosity between them, months of disagreements, squabbles and hubris from both of the girls had finally reached a boiling point with a few simple words. Not that Nico should have expected Opeila to admit what she had allowed, they were not friends. Opeila had no reason to divulge to her enemy or her opposition something potentially damaging. This all went with the preumption that they shared or portended that Vladimir was 'dangerous.'

Opeila would point out the fact that Victor or Marion could have let Vladimir in. A truth, he nodded his head. He could have let Vladimir in, but he did not. In fact, Vladimir never even asked him for the favor he would have willingly. However, meantioning the girl's offense was more than enough to set a fire under @Nico Shymane. Fellow Prefect @Koko Riddle was on her own side, what Opeila did angered the girl and she shared a number of nico's sentiments. The burden of their station, the chaos and the blame weighed heavily on the both of them. however, only one of them would devolve to violence. The irate dhampir ripped the girl a verbal new-one and would be the first to try to draw blood from her own team. Victor passively watched the exchange, he made no move to stop the cat fight.
Nico attacks Opeila with her claws.
Attack 2
Evasion 16
The claws would slice through the air harmlessly. Had they met the little girl's face, she would not be making any boys blush for a long time.

Regret filled @Percival Grey, he had the oppertunity to do more to Victor than he had. in the abandoned bathrooms, the day this animosity had truly started to fester. "I should of trusted my instincts instead of letting your sorry state escape from the toilets Victor... Next time i'll make sure not to make the same mistake! And I suggest to keep away from speeches, you'd make a lion fall to sleep in seconds"

Good thing he was dealing with snakes. Victor's own misgivings, his whispered warning to the barefoot prince and urgency conveyed to the ginger masochist were unheeded and Percival's words a stark reminder of the house he was dealing with. The words that echoed in his head simply escaped through his lips. "And do what next time? Set me on fire again? Break my flesh and bones like you so willingly do one another? Kill me and end my miserable reign?" That was what he suggested when next time happened. A worse fate than fear. Than threats. Victor was well acclimated with all of the above, thanks to many of them. Now, he was also a convenient villain. The one who let spiders into the common room. How easy was it to forget that it was some blue-haired twit that had done that. That he was somehow responsible for an attack that had he opened the door he would have suffered the same fate as that girl, perhaps if he was lucky Erik. That his safety was a novalty. That his possessions were not his, but theirs. That his secrets were no longer his. "If you want to see a true villain, all you have to do is look in the mirror, snake."

Leveler heads needed to prevail. Opeila was on their team. They were already starting a snake down, two and change if they turn on eachother now. A benefit the other team would quickly realize. Percival wouldplace that sentiment in words when he said it out loud, "Whatever happens, let them have it out. We do not want to risk our health to a petty dispute..."

"He's got a point even if it is messed up but it's true though. Could probably help our argument too because we would be the healthier team if anything." @Adonis Thorn agreed. Employ cleverness and cunning, their team's assets. Something that they were quickly coming to realize.

@Dealla Prince should have left, let the snakes continue with their quarrel but instead she stayed with no want to fight yet a desire to win. A walking contradiction. She did not realize what this was, a simple kidnapping and forced gladiator match this was not. No, far from it. It was an oppertunity. An excuse. A manipulation from the vantage point of a true Ravenclaw.

@Cassandra Ironwoods would stand by her team and watch as the other team started to cut their own numbers. Dangerous fools would prove adventageous to them but-- "I completely agree with you but I do not think Victor will let us out from this horrible nightmare unscathed. I do not care about Vladimir of whomever will fight him in the end, I just want to go home and sleep it off this monstrous day" She could just leave. Just stop, walk away like Selim Faust had. She never heard him scream. She never felt the earth rattle. Nobody stopped him, yet she felt they would stop or force them? She was underestimating the bird.

"But if I have to fight against them... I will make sure I will win, whatever it takes"

Nico wanted an apology. And Opeila's rage was mainly fueled by panic, a reaction that could end as quick as it started. Yes, maybe Opeila did owe everyone an apology, but Nico clearly enjoyed putting Opeila as the villain. It was her who didn't think of the consequences. Who asked of Opeila to put herself into her position, something she didn't even think of doing the other way around. No, Nico clearly wanted a villain in this, and she wanted it to be Opeila. So much for responsible, respectable prefect. This was a little girl, blinded by hatred, thinking of herself as higher than the others, believing that her position made her responsible for everything. Blind, blind and blind again. Victor asked if he was supposed to believe what Opeila just said. Opeila wouldn't let him finish his question. "Shut up! I don't care if you believe it or not, it doesn't matter."

Opeila shook her head. "Are you serious? Alright, you stop demanding of me to put myself into your position and do it the other way around. Again, I got tricked. I got pulled into this, unknowingly, and the past weeks I've been deeper into all this shit than you, so stop playing tis alright? And I already figured out weeks, months ago that Vladimir and co are behind the attack. So apart from them I believe I was the only one who knew. The only witness. Do you want to hear the number of nights I sat next to the door of my dorm with my wand because I was scared that one of Vladimir's little friends there would come to get rid of me?" She almost threw the words at the prefect. "Wake the heck up Shymane! Did it occur to you that I maybe didn't tell any of you to keep you safe? Of course it didn't. Because you rather hate me. That is okay. It is not you who mainly needs to hear this anyway. I went to the ball with Vladimir, having a plan with a few students from Slytherin- Who knew what I did by the way. I didn't tell you, Shymane. Look at yourself, your reaction and guess why! I wanted to corner Vladimir with them to ask him some questions. Yeah, and then that absolute moron D'Spacito ruined everything. And don't worry- I don't need you to care if I got hurt. I couldn't care less if you care. You are too busy sitting on your high horse, playing number two queen of Slytherin. The prefects get blamed? Huh. How odd that it's only prefect who I ever heard blaming prefects.

You wanna know why? It is ridiculous. You are a second year. One year older than me, so don't you dare call me little girl. So who would blame a second year for not stopping attacks on the house from happening? Right, only themselves. At least the once that take particular pleasure in feeling higher than the rest of us. Well here is some news; Not everything happening in Slytherin is your business, not to mention your responsibility. You are no professor, Shymane, this is not your frickin' fault."

Koko joined the conversation, expressing her guilt as well. Opeila nodded. "Oh, I understand, I've felt guilty about all of it. Shymane here would now say that I deserve it, I say, if I hadn't been there, Victor or Marion would have played that part. No way to prevent it from happening. But- the priority of course is now that there is an additional person to blame. Right?" Opeila looked at Nico. "Oh, and that there was no apology, of course, no matter if that apology would have done more harm than good. We all seemed to have spent a good amount of time blaming ourselves I guess. So uh... Did you do anything about it then? Or at least tried to? Oh, I did. But I guess that means nothing without an apology. How do you want it, Shymane? Written or oral?
Did I forget something? Oh yeah! You only wanted to help back with Victor. Yeah well, pressing your badge, your position into our faces was not helpful at all. Christ, do you even know another language but 'I am a prefect, I am in command'? I didn't get to hear you speak it yet."

And then Nico grabbed onto Opeila's collar and attempted to slid her claw over Opeila's face. The first year only just managed to pull her head back.
She didn't hear Koko tell Nico to stop. Adrenalin ran through her veins when she slammed her fist into Nico's stomach, and freed herself from the dhampir's grip. If she succeeded, she would distance herself a few steps and follow the dhampir's every move with her eyes to dodge possible attacks.

For a moment Nico glanced over to Koko who was just like her in her team. The dhampir was glad Koko saw what she was talking about. That she was clearly not just throwing out accusations but something that every Prefect in Slytherin suffered from. However, that look to the side was a mistake. Somehow Opeila slipped out of the angered Dhampirs grip, missing her claw. Maybe Nico didn't really think Opeila was worthy of the touch of her claws. Or maybe it was the exhaustion that she still hadn't fully recovered from.

Setting a small step Nico eyed at the child in front of her, who once again went on this endless waterfall of words. Words that didn't make sense. That contradicted many things and yet, she dared to accuse Nico of making it all about herself. Did this child have any ears on that head of hers? As Opeila started her rant, again. Saying the same shit over and over, Nico had tuned out for a moment, looking over to Koko. Seeing her there, Nico felt less alone and even though the blonde had made a few valuable points, Nico wanted to finish what she started.

After a while, the noise that came out of Opeilas direction had turned quiet. Unimpressed nor very interested in what she had to say, Nico looked over to her. 'You done?' A soft smirk got on Nico's still crazed face. 'You don't know anything about being in deep shit. You've been walking over it, not in it. And don't fucking act like you had no influence in me hating you.' Nico cackled, almost crying with laughter. 'You started this entire fucking circus after all. I told you this already. I already told you why, yet you seem too stubborn to see or listen. Do you actually have a pair of ears on that thicc, stupid head of yours?' Her eyes glared at Opeila, the red flame in her eyes to a more softer tone yet still clearly present. Did this child have memoryloss or something? Or was she... actually... truly... so stupid. 'Oh? Look at me? I was doing just fine back then. It was you. You, who just had to be a racist piece of shit. You have nothing to argument against that. You may act like you care about others, but in the end you only care about yourself.'

She went on and on about Nico being bossy. Over the course of time, Nico had been confused by Opeilas actions. She had some weak attempts to make it up with her, yet whenever that didn't work out, the dark haired child didn't seem to care in the least. How could Nico ever not hate someone like that? Who did such little effort to decently apologise and see her own mistakes. To own up to them. Of course Nico hated Opeila. She was borderline racist, insincere and plain out rude. 'Why are you so fucking scared of people trying to help? You know I wasn't being bossy. You just make up weak excuses to make your own actions look less worse than mine.' Once more Nico almost laughed her butt off. This girl was an actual joke.

'Are you actually hearing yourself, Opeila? Do you get anything of what you're saying right now? Hahahah!' Nico could barely keep herself standing up straight. 'It's clear you don't want anyone to butt in on your moments of, so called, glory. You don't actually want help. You can't take it that others have more ways to help someone. You SO desperately want to play the hero, yet you don't have the brains to do so.' Nico giggled and put her hand over lips, trying to hold back her unheard shrieks of amusement. 'You're an actualy idiot and you don't even know. That only proves how much more fucking stupid you are. You're worse than I first thought. Please, tell me. Did you ever had to apologise in your life? And I mean, actually, apologise. Not just blatantly throwing meaningless words around like you did with me and still do right now. When did you ever try to sincerely apologise, huh? I never received anything apologise-like? Except that one fucking letter that basicly was blaming me again of how bossy I was, and how supposedly you were in the right all along?'

Nico again set a few steps closer to the dark haired girl and smiled warmly. 'The entire reason I never approached you, was 'cuz you're the one who made me feel unwanted. Who made me feel like a monster. Both as what I am and what I do. A dhampir, a blood sucking beast and a prefect, a supposedly, in your own words, number two queen of Slytherin. You ask me to say something I haven't said before yet you pretend like I already did? Now you're just shoving words down my throat, child.' Nico suddenly gasped and could barely, again, contain her cute giggles. 'Maybe... Maybe, Opeila. You're just jealous. I never rubbed my badge in your face. My, my. I had no idea that a piece of metal could be so terrifying to you, little girl. Except, you actually want it for yourself. Holy shit that's funny.'

Nico wiped away a few red tears that had rested in her eyes. They barely got a chance to roll down since Nico had to get back to business. 'But that's enough talk. Anymore shit out of that mouth of yours and I'll have to quote Jeff Goldblum...' Nico would attempt to dodge the Sucker Punch and get her grip onto Opeilas collar again. Once more she'd attempt to run her claw across Opeilas face.

Claws
The fingernails of a dhampir reflect the claws of a vampire and the rounded fingernails of a human. They grow faster than the average human’s and are more pointed. They are not sharp, coming to dull points. They are also far more deeply rooted than a normal fingernail, and far stronger.

Effect: In addition to gaining the bite skill, they also gain the claw skill. Much like the bite, the vampire digs their claws into a target using their accuracy against their opponent's evasion. Rather than gain some of what the opponent has lost, the opponent continues to bleed from the deep wounds the Dhampir can inflict with their dull claws, losing an additional 5% of the total damage done by the attack each round for 4 rounds. This takes 1 full action to perform.

Arrogant. Self-centered. Closeminded. The list of negative adjectives for the dhampir seemed to extend infinitely.

The first year nodded when the prefect told her that she had no idea about being in deep shit. A sarcastic nod, a light smile on her face. "Of course. Sure I don't know anything about life and trouble, right? That one is solely for you, of course you know it all. And oh, I am aware that I did my part in you hating me, although I am tempted to say 'grow up'. If you try to hold your authority higher than your arms reach, I'll gladly pull you bad down. Not only you, but whoever tries to command me into things they have no right to. Especially if they were rude to me before. We both did our part in this conflict, don't be mistaken there. Are you done now? This is hardly the place for this, can we move on to the things that matter now? If you want this discussed any further, feel free to meet me sometime. I offered you to talk this out before, but I assume you took it as another offense. Criticism seems to be nothing that you can deal with." Her eyebows rose lightly. Opeila had only now realized that she lost herself in a pointless discussion. The prefect wanted to hate her and Opeila didn't have to join this childish act of hers. How did she even get a prefect?

"Glory?" That one word made it simply impossible for her to abandon the discussion. "That you can even think of that as glory is... baffling. Honestly I am missing the words for so much... I am almost tempted to say jealousy. And if it is, you are actually stupider than I thought you were. You want to be involved. Understandable. But then maybe try to make yourself seem like a good option as helper. See, I got help. And not the professors, I am talking about people from our house. I have acted stupid in some points, I won't deny it, but I do know that this is most likely bigger than I imagine. I got help. But see, I did have to think of myself as well. I involved people I trusted and you could hardly be any further at the bottom on that list. And- just the fact that you refer to it as glory tells me that I made the right decision. Now if you want to sulk because I didn't involve you, go ahead. I mean, would you involve me? I highly doubt it. But you know that I don't like you, I doubt that you are that blind, so you are so upset about it is ridiculous."

Nico had no idea. No idea about Opeila's life and no idea that she was the one thinking too simple. Opeila liked to think the most simple way as well, but Nico was making it too simple. There was a messed up game of trust, distrust and contracts going on at Hogwarts, that Opeila had tried to not bring people into. And Nico wanted an apology. Connected an apology with selflessness even, as if it was the most important thing. Nico didn't seem to share Opeila's view of the students' lifes coming before politeness.

"I don't have to explain myself to you! And I didn't back then in the bathroom. When you walked in, you didn't offer help, you asked for explanations. I didn't answer, because I was busy trying to talk to him, when he was in the bathroom corner, which resulted in... you want me to quote it? 'I'd prefer if you didn't ignore a prefect.' See, that has nothing to do with jealousy. That has to do with disgust and doubt in you, that you seem to see yourself as priority because of... let me quote again- 'a piece of metal.' Very true." Maybe Nico's own doubt in herself was quite rightful.

And once more Nico proved her true, when she once more tried to slash her face with a claw again.
If she does't hit
Opeila dodged once more and looked at her in disbelief. "How ironic that I now get to remind you of your position.", she said, her expression full of disgust. "You know, I didn't see you as a monster, that seems to be a personal problem of yours. I don't mind dhampirs, or werewolfs or non-humans in general. But don't worry about feeling like a monster. You're making a fine job seeming like one on the outside as well. Stop twisting up criticism to you, about what you do to an insult agains what you are. That is weak and unfair. Don't take advantage on being a non-human." Done with that she raised her voice again. "Fuck this. I'm done here, go fight this pointless duel if you must. They're playing us and I don't plan to fall for it." She once more looked at Nico. "Don't you dare raise a hand against me again." With that Opeila walked out of the ring.

This had become the Nico and Opeila match. Guys pay good money to see two pretty little girls fight. However, that was not what had piqued Victor's interest. There was a small amount of pleasured derived by the broken boy that Opeila was finally getting what was coming to her from her own team. He did not know how much she had to do with his own personal pains, but he believed Vladimir's rendition of events. It was a set-up. They were tricked. In the end, the three of them only had one another. Now the Prefect was fighting their battle for them, something he and Vladimir would have to contend with eventually. The red-headed girl was rather scary and she certainly took issue with Vladimir being let into the common room, something Vladimir seemed to know and had warned Victor. That was why he said it, her reaction startling all the same.

She went on about how she never shared what she did, what she allegedly knew to protect everyone. With the back and forth, all of the shouting it was impossible to get a word in edge-wise between the two. No that he needed to. The keeping secrets to protect them bit was bullshit. How was he supposed to know that she had told anyone anything? Why would he even care that she had let Vladimir, his friend into the common room? He would care about being attacked at the ball. About being robbed. About Marion getting caught up in the thievery, he was never going to hear the end of that one.

But she also admitted to the fact that it was planned. That Rafael acted out of turn, not that he was uninvolved. He felt a tightness in his chest, a rumbling anger within him. She really was as bad as Vladimir had claimed, not that he did not trust the Ravenclaw but there was an idle hope that for once he was wrong, perhaps exaggerating. His eyes stung, he brought his forearm to his face to wipe away the moisture.

It really is us versus them... he silently mouthed. His heart ached.

Opeila would take Nico by surprise, her balled fit hitting the girl solidly in the stomach. A lungful of air forced out of her, Opeila would not have time to relish her victory. Nico was probably going to kill her. She was already in the ring, she was already fighting. What good running would do for the girl was anyone's guess, but Opeila would run away. She would attempt to dodge Nico's wild assaults with her long, thick claws.

I did need an actual attack, like a sucker punch, an uppercut, etc. I have no actual attack to calculate. The claws serve as an additional secondary effect for the attack, but I still need an actual attack to calculate.
Regardless of what attack Nico had decided to use against Opeila, be it something incredibly precise or not (the highest is a +4), she would have missed. Opeila would duck beneath the girl's claws and scurry away. The dhampir would pursue, the fiery words exchanged would serve as adequate fuel for her wrath.

'ARCK!'

A sickening sensation filled her entire body as for a few seconds the dhampir wasn't able to breathe. It was unpleasant and painful. Coughing heavily, she'd drop onto one knee. Her attacks had missed. However, this child was lucky enough to just hit her once. A flash of yellow echoed into her mind. A soft voice and a big hand combing through her hair. Quinn. Oh.... How she wished he was here right now...

This was it. Nico had enough. Trying to get fresh air into her lungs, the dhampir got into a laughing fit. The kind of cackling that no one had ever heard escape from the redheads lips, echoed over the fighting ring. 'I give up on making sense of what you're saying. I suppose the shit... coughs... has gotten to your brains and ears aswell.' Spit was slightly dripping from her lips as she slowely got up, taking another deep breath. Her head slightly tilted to the side as she watched Opeilas attempt at fleeing the scene. A warm smile curling onto her face. 'You honestly have no idea what you're saying. I almost feel sorry for you. Do you have the brain of a goldfish or something? 7 seconds and boom... You're back being an idiot? Must be the reason why you suck at being a decent human being. Tch.' With the back of her pale hand, she'd gently wipe off the saliva from her chin. 'You think I still give a shit if I'm falling for their trap? You're just making excuses to not have to take responsibility of what you did. To everyone.' Her eyes flared up again in a bright red. Her expression cold as ice. Contradictionairy to the fire in her eyes.

'You keep on talking and talking about the same shit. You don't need to remind me of anything. Don't talk as if you're a so-called half-breed yourself. Only saying that my feelings are invalid that way makes you racist. Again. You don't know what it's like to be like me. What I've been through...' She hissed at her. At this moment the redhead didn't care that she probably acted feral and inhumane. The only person who would ever have to experience this side of her, was the selfish child infront of her. The one who was now running away from her problems as if she already knew she had lost this fight. 'You're selfish. Everything you do, is for you. Oh, it's totally fine to have some selfcare, don't get me wrong? But you're basicly drowning in it. I don't understand why you keep referring my position. You say I was bossy, that I wanted to know what was going on. Well, wouldn't you believe it? That's what prefects do? You know what a bad Prefect would do? The shit you do.'

Nico chuckled. 'You just snarl at people when they want to get an idea of what's going on so they can help out. But you think I was just trying to take over. To take away your position in the spotlight. You even assumed I was going to attack a student. Just because I'm a dhampir. You think dhampirs would just jump on anyone with the slightest smell of blood, no? You made that pretty clear back then. But how about we talk about all the rules you broke, hm? Just because you wanted to. Even though you knew it was wrong. You just wanted to be ... 'cool' and stand out. It would've been fine if you showed any remorse at all. But you don't know how to actually feel remorse, right? You're blind to your own wrong doings. It's always someone elses. I'll fucking admit that I had made a few mistakes and I always, ALWAYS felt awful about it. I always wanted to fade away on the spot. To dissapear. You don't fucking understand how it feels to be sideeyed by your superiors whenever something gets out of hand and they expected you to handle it. And with you, I mean me. Just so your thicc head can understand what I'm saying.'

Suddenly Nico growled at her, something inside her exploding. 'Don't you fucking dare patrionize me about what I do since you clearly judged me for everything I do and am! Your fucking letter which was more a deadscentence, more a nother prodding finger in my eye rather than a fucking apology. How dare you fucking come tell me that I can't do my job, you fucking lowlife!'

The dhampir growled at her, leaping onto the selfish brat. She only had eyes for the First Year that she wouldn't allow to leave unscathed. Her punishment was far from over.

Things were not going exactly to plan. Yet, Koko had to wonder, had there even been a plan in the first place? It didn't seem so - they'd practically turned against each other, and if that wasn't awful enough, the verbal battle had turned physical quite quickly.

Had she been more willing to stand up for Opeila and not the slightest bit offended by the younger Slytherin's words, she would have stepped in - not in such a way as to make Nico turn on her, but rather to tell them they had a far worse opponent to go up against. Well, now she was terrified of the Dhampir and didn't want to risk anything.

So she'd have to ignore them and rely on her own abilities. Koko hadn't relied on herself alone for a while, and it felt odd to not have anyone backing her up. Her lips twisting downwards into a scowl as she raised her hands to guard her face, feeling her hands clench into fists. If she got hit in the head, she felt it'd be game over. She couldn't risk losing this. Her dignity was at stake, and from how a certain Claudia Gears had treated her, Koko worried she didn't have much dignity left.

And so she shrank backwards, ever so slightly, her amber eyes narrowing as she ignored Nico's speech in favour of searching for the right place to hit. Ah. Yes.

Her fist shot out as she leapt towards the Ravenclaw, aiming for the other girl's stomach.

Dealla had watched the escalating conflict between Nico and Opeila with rising horror - and yet, she hadn't done anything, only stood there, watching, frozen in place.
She... she should do something, right? Try to interfere, to stop them from hitting each other more? Dealla knew both of them, a little, at least, but she'd seen neither of them like this before, and if she was honest, it terrified her. She didn't know what the fight was about, really, but it was obvious there was a lot of history here, conflict and hurt feelings and even hatred, and Dealla didn't even begin to know how she would, maybe should, step in between them.

And so, although she'd thrown both Adonis and the other boy who had said they should stay out of it for pure tactical advantage a disgusted look, Dealla stayed, and done nothing. She wasn't sure if her team had realised that her plan didn't intend for them to be the team to fight Vladimir - she doubted they were the team best suited to the job. If she was honest, Dee would very much prefer not to fight anyone at all. Let one of the other teams be the one to do that. But she didn't clarify - she could deal with that issue if they came to it, because currently, her plan didn't seem likely to work in the slightest. Which wasn't a surprise, of course, but for some reason, it still gave her a rush of disappointment.

Focused as she'd been on the fight between Opeila and Nico, and her own inner moral conflict, Dealla almost missed when one of the other girls on the opposing team, one Dealla didn't know, jumped forward to attack her - with no prior warning or indication. No reason given why she'd been singled out, maybe it was because she was the only stranger? Maybe because she'd talked too much, or maybe just because she looked like the easiest target between the boys and Cash.
More on instinct than due to a rational decision, too surprised to really think about it, the Ravenclaw tried to dodge, to dance away from the fist aiming for her stomach.

No matter if the punch connected or not, Dealla would try to further back away, raising her hands in an instinctual gesture, fingers spread wide. Look - I'm unarmed. No fists. I do not mean you harm. That was what her posture indicated, but her words weren't nearly as pleading.
"Stop that!" she half-yelled at the pretty, older girl, both anger and fear rising up in her, nearly clogging her throat. "I don't want to fight you! I'm not the enemy here! Don't waste your energy on me, it's not going to get you anywhere. Can't you see that?"

Percival glanced at the fighting going on in front of him with interest, as well as disgust for being forced into such a barbaric event. Although they could leave at will, some chose to fight without reason. Nothing would of been better to leave at that very moment but he knew himself that wasn't the way to go, he needed answers, and he'd do anything to get it.

Nico and Opeila were still at each others throats, shouting at each other at the top of their lungs like a divorced married couple. Somehow, none of them had come to blows just yet considering the leech had tried to claw the poor girls face off. It was probably best to keep note of the claws for his sake, just in the likely chance she'd use them against him. But for now, all he had to do was keep an eye on her. However, that wouldn't be the only thing that caught his attention. Koko Riddle, a girl on the other team had a chance to strike and took it, looking to land a quick jab to his teammate.

It was clear things were starting to pick up as opposing members from each end began to clash, and it was only a matter of time before someone chose to pick on him. He slowly walked to the corner of the ring away from the conflict going on beside him, looking over to the enraged Nico with a intense gaze. The mad girl was going to be the highest danger for him and everyone else taking part in this fight, so something needed to be done to suppress that while the others took care of her teammates. He looked down the line to his teammates and motioned over to Nico, who chased the retreating Opelia with purpose "Leave Nico to me, deal with the rest of her teammates if they attack you..." he said, a small sigh escaping his lips as he rolled up his sweater sleeves. Opelia was soon going to escape the fighting area and leave them alone with the animal, and her was sure her next target would be them.

The chance of getting away without a fight was starting to slim, but if he found a way to calm the angry Nico down it would make things a whole lot easier. He walked over to the girl and stood a good distance away for his own safety, his arms slowly folding when he began to open his mouth "Nico!" the boy shouted sternly from behind, trying to catch her attention "You still have a choice, leave the fighting area and avoid further pain while you still can" Percy said, his eyes watching her movements carefully "I trust you to make the right decision..."
