Chaotically Wild
He inwardly sighed as he listened to the excited tone that Yefim produced. It seemed like the sudden appearance of the newcomer had interested Yefim. Which meant that Yefim was probably already planning something. Though it was not like he minded so much. Mikael was fairly used to the Yefim's antics at this point. It had been one of the driving points to their friendship.
Mikael's gaze shifted from the strange boy in front of them as something moved in his peripheral. His gaze turned to see Valentin just as he pulled his hand out from his bag to catch the pair of sunglasses that flew through the air. He was surprised that he hadn't noticed the other sneaking to his bag in the first place. Mikal was usually better about not letting these type of things happen. Though it appeared that Kheanu was a better distracted then he would ever like to admit.
The boy gritted his teeth as he grabbed his bag with a little more force than necessary. He pulled the bag towards him so that it sat on the bed closer to him. A quick inventory check showed that everything was accounted for. Especially his most important item at the bottom of the bunk. It seemed that his bag had drawn unwanted attention. Attention that Mikael would rather do without.
The leather bag was a deep brown with lighter brown accents. It resembled something similar to a duffle bag, but it was magically charmed to be larger on the inside. Hence, why his broom was able to fit inside and not have to be carried. Mikael had even made sure that there was no metal accents to draw in a certain Seeker.
The bag was nothing too eye-catching. He had chosen a boring bag for that reason. Though it seemed like his plans for privacy had been thwarted. Mikael huffed turning away from the three to zip the bag closed. Before, taking the bag and shoving it under the bottom bunk. He didn't mind if it got a little dusty. More worried about his possessions going missing. Inwardly he hoped that it would stay out of sight and out of mind.
Mikael turned to study the well-dressed boy who still hadn't run out of the tent at the sight of the jocks. He couldn't help studying the boy, the other posed as a mystery. His eyes narrowed slightly as he noticed the boy's companion. A rather meek-looking thing that seemed to gush over every little interaction with Kheanu. It bothered him how the other seemed to hold no will of his own. Willingly carrying the boy's bags for him like he was a bellhop. Mikael's dislike for the meek boy as he watched him stumble away. Even for Yefim, Mikael refused to walk around like a blubbering idiot.
Yefim's interest in the newcomer was fairly apparent. So Mikael decided he would follow the other's lead for now. His own interest sparked in the boy's usually stoic face as he began to wonder who exactly this boy was. Mikael made a mental note on the way the boy's overall tone seemed to change on the dime. Kheanu's overall tone for the three boys was hard to decipher.
Mikael stiffened slightly as a depressive thickness seemed to settle in the atmosphere. The source of the change seemed to come from the older boy himself. His eyes refused to look away from Kheanu as he waited for the other to make his move. Mikael's frown grew as he watched the other approach his teammate, Valentin. A part of him worried slightly for the safety of his teammate, but he squashed that thought almost immediately. He didn't need to worry, since it seemed like the newcomer was just trying to intimidate Valentin. Besides, he didn't hold that strong of a like for the energetic boy.
He decided to insert himself closer to the group and walked up a little ways behind Valentin. Mikael didn't want to listen to Yefim berating him for not being more open to other people. Though in Mikael's opinion, he thought he was doing great with Valentin so far. A brow slightly raised as he caught Valentin's gaze. It seemed like both of his tentmates wanted the other boy to join their growing tent. Mikael wasn't about to disagree when he had been outvoted. So instead, he gave a short nod to express his agreement.
Mikael frowned as Kheanu tried to coerce Valentin to grab his luggage. He wondered if Kheanu had meant to punctuate the end of his sentence by speaking louder. Sadly, to Mikaels dismay it seemed to have an effect on him. Causing the boy to look from Valentin towards the strange newcomer. He wondered exactly what the other was trying to accomplish.
Though despite not exactly caring about whether or not Valentin carried the bags. He decided now would be a good time to break his long stretch of silence. Which in Mikael's defense had been entirely accidental.
"Why can't you grab them yourself?" he asked in his thick accent. One of Mikael's eyebrows was raised in a quizzical manner. Mikael's featured remained fairly schooled, but his curiosity shone through here and there.

Chaotically Wild

The action of throwing the glasses had a satisfactory conclusion. Not only did Niffler snatch them out of the air perfectly, but he did a cool jump spin too. Nice. Yefim gave a bit of a laugh and clap to show him approval, looking back at their recently arrived guest with an expectant, impish grin. Though, it wasn’t quite the face he was expecting. First, with the glasses gone and face contorted into one of shock horror, Yefim started to second guess his earlier assessment. Girl? Guy? Shapeshifter? Magical creature? There was certainly something spooky about the way their face flipped from shocked to blasé in a second, along with their entire body language. It kinda freaked Yefim out.
He didn’t know if the other two saw it as clearly as he did, what with Niffler wearing cool shades and Mik putting his bag away. Even though they cheered and spun around, dismissing the dude at the entrance with a smooch, there was something off. It gave him goosebumps, like walking into a meat locker on a hot summer day. Both inviting and revolting, how was that even possible? Yefim couldn’t do much but shake the shiver off that was creeping up his spine, like a wet dog trying to get dry.
It wasn’t like he had even the slightest clue what they were talking about, but they said ‘stay’, and looked excited. The celebratory, welcoming mood Yefim had been in before had deflated a bit, replaced with something like… Well, it wasn’t a feeling he had ever had before, so he didn’t know. Fear? For that scrawny thing? Well, it wasn’t like Yefim didn’t know there was more to fear in the world than just pure muscle. He was intrigued, but also started to feel a bit defensive as well.
They approached Niffler, their voice seemed kinda like a boy’s? But he looked like a girl… auuugghhh who was this person? An actual alien maybe, from outer space? They seemed to be trying to retrieve their glasses back, but they must not have known Niffler very well. He always ‘gave things back’, eventually, and could be counted on bringing all the energy in the world back to the room. As he jumped up to attack the stranger with adoration, Yefim sighed a bit under his breath, a bit worried about how much he was being thrown off. Right... funny, light, hahahahaha…He had to do something before he lapsed into a mood and ruined everyone’s good time.
Niffler looked up at Yefim and Mik, who had reticently joined the fold after setting his stuff somewhere safer. Yefim shrugged, still not all there, but Mik started talking in English too. It seemed English was the language everyone spoke… except Yefim. He didn’t think he was that bad at it until he actually heard people speaking it all the time. They talked too fast, and they all had wildly different accents. Maybe if they wrote everything out and he had a Russian-English dictionary he could parse it out, but even then he also didn’t really know the English alphabet that well either. He just didn’t care about the subject much, but he didn’t know he would get invited to London for Quidditch!
If this hot alien boy didn’t kill them all in their sleep, he promised to finally start taking English more seriously.
Mik’s English he could at least understand. He knew the way he talked, how he pronounced things. He didn’t know what the ‘grabbing’ was about though, like grab the glasses and throw them again? That would probably have worked to get Niffler off of him if that was what Mik was suggesting, but there was also the luggage that was left at the tent flap rather than being pulled in. Why did they dismiss that guy when he didn’t even finish his job? Well, they were clearly staying, so Yefim went to pull it the rest of the way.
Who knew what cool stuff this kid had, anyway? They looked rich, and there were, like, a lot of bags. Yefim grabbed them one after the other and started unceremoniously tossing them on the closest bed with a ‘hup!’ He made a game out of it by trying to throw them all perfectly. He was, after all, a chaser. Throwing things into a goal was his specialty. BAM ten points for Durmstrang! CRASH ten more points! Yes!

Kheanu did not know what to expect when he moved to reclaim his designer sunglasses from the pale boy, but it certainly was not a hug. In his shock, the older Durmstrang student was not able to brace himself for what was practically a display of physical assault and ended up being awkwardly pulled and pressed into the back of the couch he was leaning over. To be honest, even if Kheanu was ready for the enthusiastic show of affection, his lithe-limbed, delicate structure would not have done much for him. Right then he just looked stupid—with one knee braced ungracefully on the seat of the couch and the other leg outstretched behind him with toes extended, Kheanu was reduced to looking like a misshapen ragdoll.
The long-haired Mondelez boy gritted his teeth.
At this point, he was starting to question his decision of rooming with these tramps. If it weren't so late in the afternoon already, Kheanu would have had no hesitation in striding out of the tent and never looking back. As it stood, in a few hours, they would need to be ready for the inter-school Barbecue, and the older boy didn't think he could find a free tent in time to change for the event. He'd have to wear the clothes that he came with! L'orrore! [The horror!] He would need to suck it up if he were to be presentable in front of the other wizarding schools.
Kheanu then let out a loud, unsettlingly hollow laugh and pat the boy none-too-gently in the back. "Ha ha ha, mamma mia [my goodness], you silly boy!" Don't touch me, fool. "And please, talk to me in English." Don't even breathe near me.
Though he appeared to be taking things in stride, Kheanu's thoughts reflected exactly how annoyed he currently was.
And it was all made worse by what happened next.
Just as Kheanu was about to answer the haughty boy who asked him why he couldn't handle his own luggage, large crashes one after the other sounded from behind him. He couldn't contain a small gasp as he watched his suitcases fall violently on top of each other as the third boy tossed them with abandon onto the empty bed.
"My toiletries!" Kheanu's breathless exclamation followed a painful cacophony of breaking glass. The older boy roughly threw the still-hugging arms from around his neck and rushed to the side of the bed, not even caring what happened to the pale boy clutching him. With his back to the other occupants of the tent, Kheanu's mouth fell open when he opened up the suitcase containing his necessities.
Phials of shampoo, conditioner, perfume, makeup, and even an antique razor lay spilled, scattered, and broken inside the velvet-lined Gucci luggage. The fumes of potions mixed with the chemical scents of haircare and cosmetics and diffused this aggressive, chemical smell within the tent.
And just like that, you could almost hear Kheanu's patience snap in two.
The fake light that nonetheless showed in the boy's forcibly soft expression died out from his eyes, leaving it blank and hollow. The Mondelez stood up slowly, drawing his wand from his pocket as he turned, an eerie wide smile plastered into his otherwise emotionless face. With a flick of his hand, Kheanu muttered a Reparo on his stuff before he spoke in sickly-sweet honeyed words at the culprit. "Not to worry, dear. Nothing that can't be fixed." The pitch and tone of his voice were observably very different and... very wrong... as he spoke these words.
"But please do not do that again, okay?"
The sound of mending glass and de-spilled liquids peaked and then slowly quieted down as this all happened.
But the end of Kheanu's sentence was punctuated by the sharp, metallic shing sound of his antique razor as it closed by itself in the mending process.

Valentin was disappointed in Kheanu’s unsettlingly hollow laugh and rough pat on the back. While it seemed Kheanu was trying to be genial about it, Valentin did not feel his affections were appreciated. Usually people seemed to like such attentions from the famed Durmstrang first-string seeker, especially girls for some reason. Valentin squinted, trying to figure out what the newcomer did like. Kheanu’s demeanor after his luggage crashed down had been unnerving despite his attempt to be sweet… The boy’s tone was simply so cloying that it felt like it buried a sharp needle.
Valentin felt a little bad that Kheanu’s things got broken, regardless of their easy repair and not having been responsible for it. It seemed the group’s efforts to welcome the newcomer were not going smoothly. Frustrated and impatient, the Niffler began to look around again for a new target to play with. While everyone was probably vigilant now with the tense atmosphere, he could still strategize for later when people were more relaxed and had their attention better diverted.
Slinking back into the background, Niffler began to watch his friends and how they would react to what had just happened. Still, even in a relatively dim tent the white radiance of the albino always made him stick out.

Mikael's gaze strayed away from the posh-looking boy in front of him. His eyes moving to glance behind Kheanu as he noticed movement near the entrance to the tent. The boy instantly stiffened as his eyes came to rest on Yefim's form. It took Mikael a second to actually realize what the other was seemingly planning to do. Yefim seemed to be going for the boy's multiple expensive bags that lay near the entrance. The first thing that popped into his mind was that his friend was preparing to bring Kheanu's bags into the tent as he had asked. It slightly annoyed him thinking that the other was giving in to Kheanu's wishes. His mind bringing up the subservient boy they had briefly seen earlier. Disgust crossed his normally blank face at the thought of the weak looking thing from before, and he took a step closer to Yefim as he prepared to stop him. In almost any normal situation, Mikael wouldn't care what Yefim had decided to do on a whim. Though Kheanu and anything that had to do with the other had put the boy on high alert. The more time he spent near the other boy the more he became on edge.
He watched the other grab Khenau's bags, too far away to actually interject. Standing by as Yefim began to throw the bags across the room. Mikael's face morphed into slight surprise before a small smirk wormed its way across his face. He shouldn't have doubted that Yefim would put his own spin on 'helping' the older boy. It was a surprise when the sound of glass breaking accompanied the loud thumping. The sounds seemed to become louder over time, rolling over one another as if to dominate the former. It felt like the noises would go on forever, though the sounds stopped as quickly as they started. Mikael pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a sigh of resignation. The fate of Kheanu's aforementioned toiletries was more than likely broken.
A dead quiet filled the entire tent accompanied by a suffocating weight that hung in the atmosphere. The tension in the room was thick as smog-filled air. The change seemed to originate from Kheanu which only added to his strangeness. Mikael tensed as he watched the boy draw out his wand. His own hand found its way into his left pants pocket, feeling the mahogany wood that made up his wand. The smooth feeling of the wood provided him some reassurance. It was a precaution in case the other decided to turn his wand onto one of them. Though he inwardly hoped that it wouldn't come down to that. Age was most likely not the only disadvantage that he had against Kheanu, and Mikael wasn't so sure he wanted to discover the rest.
His precaution seemed all for not when the boy only cast a simple Reparo. For a few moments, he felt stupid for thinking the other was about to hex them. Though that was quickly squashed due to the boy's demeanor remaining off. He barely noticed from the corner of his eye Valentin wisely distancing himself from the situation at hand. A part of him wished to distance himself as well. Take Yefim with him and find a new tent, preferably with fewer occupants. Though his Pureblood pride stuck fast as he held his ground. "Everything's fixed now so put away your wand." he demanded almost immediately after the noises of things repairing came to an end. Mikael didn't really care if he had jumped the gun on his comment. It was entirely possible that Kheanu was just about to put his wand away. Despite this, he felt the need to interject before the pointed his wand towards something else then luggage.

A few points into his scoring, he had quickly drawn the attention of the newcomer, who started exclaiming stuff, dumped Niffler, and ran to their bag to open it up. As soon as they did, a strong, nasty smell invaded the whole room. It was like a flower-brand stink bomb, if it was soaked in alcohol and set on fire. Yefim had to cough a bit, wheezing with the sudden repercussions of his actions. Luckily for him and everyone else, the alien boy took out his wand and fixed the mess with magic, whatever it was. As far as Yefim could tell, this had powerful poisons in that suitcase that he had accidentally unleashed. Who could have possibly predicted that throwing stuff would have consequences that affected him?
The unease that came from the rich kid’s behavior sucked the joy of misbehavior right out of the room. The way he was being looked at, like he was insignificant, would normally make Yefim want to square up, but he couldn’t help but feel this guy was too dangerous. A revelation to the bumbling prick who would gladly pick a fight with people three times his size. He realized when he looked around the tent that everyone was looking at him-- had he finally gone a bit too far?
Not exactly knowing what the spook was saying to him, Yefim was relieved when Mik broke the silence himself, bailing him out of another situation. It was rare moments like that when Yefim’s thick skull finally remembered the importance of keeping the peace. Wild abandon was not the key to every lock, as it turned out. He had thrown the glasses and the luggage for his own amusement, as well as Niffler and Mik’s respectively, but in doing so he set up entirely unfavorable conditions for everyone. Even if he didn’t care what people thought of him, he didn’t want to actually ruin Mik’s time at camp, he owed him more loyalty than that for all he put up with.
Sure, he could probably bench press this kid and toss him out, but that wouldn’t solve anything. Yefim was clearly making things worse, and his mom had told him what to do in those sorts of situations, as much as he didn’t want to.
”My bad.” Yefim’s face contorted into a childish grimace, looking anywhere but at the recipient of his weak apology.
Mik had asked them something about their wand, but it was the poisons that Yefim was more worried about. He was going to be really careful with leaving drinks out during his stay. That reminded him, he needed to destroy the tense mood that cropped up. Absolutely crush it into paste! Looking around though, there wasn’t much to work with. Niffler was keeping to himself, and Mik had his hand on his concealed wand. Usually Yefim brought up the mood with playful violence, but the new tent mate was clearly not a fan. Instead, they seemed to be a fan of subservient boys and toxic chemicals.
They were all from Durmstrang, but they couldn’t be much of a big fan of Quidditch if they didn’t recognize Niffler right away, he was basically their mascot. Why did they come to London then if not for sports? For… shopping maybe? Or something bad?
”Hey. You are Hog Wart spy?” It was all starting to make sense. ”Try to steal Quidditch secret?”
Not that there were any secrets to steal, but at least now they had to defend their Durmstrang spirit. He already knew the other two were brimming with it.
”If you are spy...” Yefim spoke slowly, he hadn't spoken this much English since he got there, ”then pay me for silence.”
With that, a big cheeky grin.

Oh, now it made sense. Of course the blonde long-hair was a spy. Why else would he have shown up in this tent of all places? Yefim was always so insightful. He even gave an apology– what class. Squinting and looking sidelong at Kheanu, Niffler puffed up his chest and walked back up to him. Valentin grabbed a clump of his own albino hair and said, “You spy? Okay. I understand. You can forgiven. Yefim say you can pay, I say you can work for us. You choose. Easy.”
Valentin looked at Kheanu, eyes full of compassion. Even spies needed a home. It was okay, Durmstrang had a use for even people like Kheanu.
Looking at Mikael and then at Yefim, Valentin checked to make sure his words would not bother his friends. That Mikael had been reacting strongly about Kheanu’s wand only made it more clear to Valentin that they needed to convert Kheanu all the more. For Valentin, whose magical capacity was absolutely pathetic, the job Kheanu had done on his stinky potions was pretty impressive. Besides, maybe he could teach the group some secret spy spells if he could just be swayed….
Crossing his arms and tapping his foot twice, Valentin made up his mind. With Kheanu’s illustrious spying skills and Niffler’s capacity for surreptitious theft, all the secrets of the quidditch world could soon be known to them.

Almost as abruptly as Kheanu reacted to his things being momentarily broken, the malevolence in his gaze disappeared in favor of a long, slow eyeroll. An audible huff escaped his lips as he sat himself down onto the bed, diverting his main attention into unpacking his things, a subsequent whispered Erecto putting up two large foldable shelves on both sides of the bed—with just enough space to contain most, if not all, of his belongings.
This was new. Being called a spy.
The boy has been called many things before: tempter (sometimes even temptress), evil, master manipulator, notorious flirt.
But never a spy.
He did not even know a single person in Hogwarts. If not for the school's publicized issues and scandals in newspapers around Europe, Kheanu would not have even found the institution more interesting than an interior design article or worse, a sports magazine.
That was the thing.
The boy despised athletics. They did wonders to men's bodies, he can admit that—appreciate that, even. But the fascination with physical exertion was never his cup of tea. He much more appreciated the grace and poise a good fencing bout could display. The finesse and fluidity of the forms of the sport more sophisticated than the sweaty, guttural, barbaric practice that was Quidditch.
Probably why he went out of his way to attend this Summer Camp: to show his elegance on the battlefield.
In dueling combat.
"You all are not very smart are you?" The older student threw over his shoulder as he proceeded to gently and meticulously place each of his vials of cosmetics on one corner of the magically-erected shelves. Turning to look each boy in the eye, Kheanu twirled his wand in his fingers. "I'm a duelist, in my fourth year at Durmstrang, first and foremost. I could not care less about your overrated sport." The boys would once again find Kheanu's wand pointed in their general direction.
"And second off, if I was ever going to aid 'ogwarts in winning their Quidditch game, I would have done so by breaking one of each of your limbs as early as the moment I went inside this tent!" The malicious glint in his stare would once again resurface for a second before the delicate boy turned back to arranging his things once more. His threat was laced in a thicker Italian accent in his outrage, though this went by unnoticed by Kheanu himself.
"I don't believe any of you could have effectively stopped me, either."

Mikael bit the inside of his cheek as he watched the strange boy with a calloused look. He didn't like how everything seemed to have gone downhill since the other had walked in. Mikael wanted nothing more than for the other to make himself scarce. Though it seemed that their hospitality had not been enough to make the other want to leave. Mikael glared as the other began to make himself comfortable in their tent. It irked the boy at the gall of the blond-haired boy.
He would have said something if Yefim hadn't snatched his attention away. One brow rose as he listened to the idea that the blond boy was a spy. Mikael wondered what had made him think that made any sense. It was possible the other was just teasing the other, but it was just as likely the other was trying to diffuse the touchy situation. He wasn't the best at calculating the reason why Yefim did anything. Normally he would just play along even if he did not truly understand the other's intentions. So that was exactly what he did. "A spy? Maybe we should interrogate him for information about the enemy." his voice sharp as he forced a somewhat playful tone into his voice.
The boy frowned slightly as he listened to Kheanu speak . Though his words did nothing but add to the irritation growing in his chest. Mikael had already guessed the boy to be older than them, but the fact that he was a duelist put them at a further disadvantage. Even with the three of them, they could easily be taken out with the correct spells. Mikael disliked when Mikael glared as the other pointed his wand back towards them. He was beginning to seriously doubt going along with Yefim's decision to allow this strange boy into their tent. To make matters worse the other appeared to be threatening them. "I would do your best not to forget you are the one outnumbered here." he stated. His face would remain neutral as he inwardly grimaced. Mikael's intimidation felt weak, but he couldn't change what he said. As the boy flicked his gaze from each boy he came to the conclusion it was going to be a rather long two weeks.

The spy thing seemed to work, at least everyone was talking. Even if they were mostly unveiled threats. Threats are fun! The English-speaking one said a few words in particular, ones that sounded especially nasty. Backing up their scary vibe with some scary words, it seemed. He could jive with that, even if they kinda seemed lowkey like a total prick. If he was being honest with himself, Yefim was also a prick, when it was funny to be one, and it always is.
Mik suggested they interrogate him, which reminded Yefim of a great game. He had learned it back in the child gang days, where a group of people had a spy in it who would try to sabotage 'missions' anonymously, whereas everyone else had to figure out who the spy was. It was a good game, and good practice for learning to read a lie on a person's face. Yefim, for example, was an excellent liar. It helped that he could so easily convince himself of his own innocence. The game had a few names: Traitor, Resistance, Rebellion. The rules changed too, depending on who was playing. Either way, it was always fun.
[”Yes, let's play 'Are You the Traitor'!”] Yefim said in Russian in reply to Mik, though Niffler would obviously understand him too. He could rely on them translating the rules. After that, it would be a matter of reading faces anyway. ”Then we see who spy.”
If they agreed, he would usher them all to the meeting table in the middle of the tent and excitedly provoke the game into being played. If they didn't want to he could always threaten physical violence. If they wanted to be in a tent with him, they had to suffer the real consequences of being in a tent with him.
