Tent Under the stars PV Closed

Laying back in her bunkbed, she watched Pip roll around all excited. Where did he get all this energy? The heat was getting to her yet she was greatful for the airconditioning that they had magically working in their tent. Magic would be so handy for so many things. However, in the back of her head, she knew that using magic outside of Hogwarts was a big no-no. Only Professors could afford to cast their barriers and little lifehacks. Nico wasn't bothered by it. It only made sense. With a soft sigh, remembering all the pre-cautions the Professors made, the dhampir felt content and safe.

Was this how it felt to be relaxed and... happy? It felt so childlike. How it should be...

Her paperthin finger gently swished small circles over Pips belly. It was so soft and warm. A pocketsized pet which wasn't a rat... She didn't mind rats... But this Pygmy Puff had captured her heart the moment she layed eyes on it. It was so different... They didn't have these or anything close to it in the Muggle world. Well... Maybe the closest creature to it would be ... a guinea pig? Maybe?

Puzzled she'd stare at Pip as he continued to roll about onto Nico's enormous body. What... was he? She made a mental note that she should look into Pygmy Puffs once she's back in Hogwarts. Surely there would be some books explaining what these things were. Or... She could approach the Professor of Care of Magical Creatures. Apparantly someone new had replaced Professor Griffith. Atleast she didn't have to feel embarassed about her kicking out of the ROAM program anymore.

Nico had never been someone of many words. Especially not when she was tired because of the heat and the presence of the piercing sun. Things were perfect within the fabric house and Nico couldn't help but peacefully smile that the burning rays of light couldn't touch her there. Rolling onto her side, she caught Pip in the palm of her hand, her gaze drifting over to her tentmates. She liked to observe. They all did their own little thing and the chats they had with one another have always been pleasant. Cosy. Not forced. A bunch of introverts.

Her iceblue eyes ended up watching Katrina, just at the moment where she talked past her mouth. The redness on the girls face was rather obvious. Poor Kat. Yet the words she spoke made Nico curious and as she felt comfortable speaking up within the company of these girls, the dhampir carefully sat up, resting on her elbows. 'Why? Can't wait for school to start again?' It wasn't meant as snarky. The dhampir was only curious to why someone would be looking forward to that hellhole to start again..
