Adonis couldn't help but smile when Katrina corrected him and told him what would have actually happened instead of what he thought. It was refreshing to know he had someone who could correct him in things such as that. He wasn't really any good at the other classes they had aside from like Potions, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. That's why he had Katrina there with him though! "Mehhhh. I was close enough anyways." He grinned slightly, shrugging with his hands up in defeat.

"Yes, ma'am." Eventually, the two made it over to the telescope and Adonis couldn't help but smile as he watched Katrina do her own thing in setting up the telescope with excitement for the two of them. He didn't know what it was but he liked seeing her get to work with what seemed to be her hobby in astronomy at this very moment and enjoyed the fact that his excitement made her happy. If it wasn't for the darkness then he would've admired her beauty while setting up the telescope. Alas, it was too dark to really see much in the end though. "Hmph. I'll try but knowing me... I have way of being clumsy." Adonis said with a smirk, walking up to telescope and carefully placing his eye to the hole while closing the other. "Has anyone ever thought of a telescope with two holes in it? Like binoculars, ya know? Or does that just not make sense with the angles of them." Adonis randomly asked until thinking on it for a second. "Yeah. Doesn't make sense." He answered for himself before he was made a fool of out of amusement.

Donnie then finally focused his attention back to the scope that he was peering through and looked on in amazement at the rings of the planet and some of the larger clouds in it's atmosphere. "WOAH. That's actually really sick. I did not know this was possible." Adonis eventually pulled away from the telescope and looked back at her with a wide grin. "Want to go back to the blanket then or stay here? I can tell you about the things we can do in Italy and all the places we can see when you come over." He spoke with excitement, just thinking about the plenty of sights there were to see and things to do. Don always loved staying with his family that lived in Italy over the summer. Plus, it made him even more excited to people able to share some of that enjoyment with a friend for once.

Katrina puzzled for a moment sliding the clip into place about Adonis' comment about the 'binocular telescope'. He quickly brushed it aside and Katrina stepped away to let him have a look. "Well, I think it would mess with the angles. Because the earth is round and so even holding the two eyes up would be at different angles, slightly. So like, looking at one star or something that far away would mess with the placing of the stars. But... I think there are some that like transfer the image digitally so you can just turn the scope and it shows it easier to see," Katrina shrugged, mind spinning with the idea, surely there was a magical way to do it?

Katrina smiled at Adonis' fascination. He's so cute when he's excited. What? No! It's sweet when people get excited. What the heck Katrina?! Katrina shook herself from her mind, a dark blush rising to her cheeks. There was never a time when she had been so grateful that it was dark outside. She had never thought like that. What was going on? Had she been potioned?

Adonis mentioned going back over to the blanket to talk about Italy. That'll be nice, let him talk so I won't say something stupid. "That sounds good!" Katrina walked over to the blanket, sitting down and pulling her knees to her chest.

Katrina was glad that she wasn't going to spend this summer only in one place. She was spending the first half of August in Italy with Adonis. Honestly, Katrina was ecstatic. She wondered if they would get there by portkey or through airplane or floo. It would be her first time on an airplane or first time using the Floo Network. She was really excited to hear more about her trip. They had only planned it recently and Katrina hadn't had too much time to think about it with everything going on.

"So, what is there to do in Italy?"

Elspeth arrived at Ringway Centre much the way she enjoyed arriving at any activity - alone and ready to run away if she got too nervous. Thankfully, it didn't seem like many other students had set up yet (though there did appear to be a couple giggling which immediately made something in her guts feel squeamy, so she looked away). The sky was beautiful this evening. Being in London after living in rural Scotland for so long made her homesick for the stars now invisible in the light pollution. But here the sky was clear and that ever changing mix of black and blue rippled around, cresting in pinpricks of constellations she's sure she was supposed to know by now but absolutely had not memorized.

Professor Lian's stories were certainly going to be something. Elspeth wasn't sure yet, even after a whole school year, how she felt about Cy. She was a brilliant professor and all, but also more than a little brash and intimidating. Best not start off the evening over there. We'll wait for more people to have her attention. You go over there now, and you'll have to make conversation with her until more people show up. And who KNOWS how long that could be. No, that wouldn't do at all.

Her eyes landed on Professor Kibitzer, who appeared to be setting up materials for fortune telling. A bit surprised at herself, Elspeth felt her interest pique. Rosalind wasn't a professor she knew much about, having been a first year and too young to take her classes. But she'd heard from some upperclass students that she was a delight and very good at reading the future. Most of her problems that year had been straightforward enough, unpleasant, sure, but nothing unpredictable. But after Blossom Ball, even after having talked with Carolyn about it- seeing a professor who didn't know her, and who she wouldn't have for another year put her at ease. Professor Kibitzer probably won't even remember your question by the time you take classes with her. No one to stare at you like a sad puppy! It's perfect! This seemed like as good a time as any to try and start getting some answers about when she'd start to feel better. Or if she'd start to feel better.

With no line by the blanket yet, and no other good reason to prolong the inevitable, Elspeth shifted her weight from one foot to the other, trying to work up the courage to walk over. Deciding she wanted to go over was one thing, but getting over the worries that she was going to be annoying this new adult figure was another. Come on, it's her job to hear people ask questions and maybe she can tell you when you're going to start feeling better. Slowly, she picked her feet up, her socks now wet after her canvas sneakers had absorbed the wet from the grass she'd been standing in.

Do you think she knows that you're going to be her first customer tonight? If she can tell the future and she didn't want to do your fortune, she'd probably get up and leave right now to thwart you. Elspeth kept her eyes vaguely in the direction of the poofs without making it obvious that she was trying to see if the professor was moving. She wasn't! See! This is great, you're going to have a great time. Look at you, getting out, meeting people. Doing things! So cool! Although no one was sitting on the rug yet, Elspeth couldn't help but stop a small ways away and clear her throat a little to get the Professor's attention. "Um, excuse me. Is there a line to have our fortunes told?" Her hands were stuffed in her pockets as she rubbed the pad of her index finger and thumb together, a new nervous tick she'd developed in the last month.

Dee's eyes were bright as she stepped off the path in company of her tent mates and took in the setup of picnic tables and blankets, bathed in a low, red light that was familiar to her from Astronomy lessons. While she wasn't particularly interested in Astronomy beyond getting grades that satisfied her expectations, she could definitely see the appeal of a night of looking at the night sky with her friends - or, well, whatever some of them were to her. They were a very mixed group for sure.

"I vote blanket," she announced in response to Adonis' question, but stepped toward the table as well, picking out a few strawberries and a choco ball from the wide array of food offered. They had eaten before coming here, so she wasn't really hungry or in the mood for sandwiches, but there wasn't a world in which Dee would not be able to eat a few strawberries at any given time.

At Zykeal's teasing words, her expression morphed into something halfway between a frown and a glare, although she barely managed to keep the corner of her mouth from twitching. It seemed he was going to stick to this ridiculous nickname, and while he was hardly the first person ever to call her that, he was the most tenacious about it. She was actually in the process of getting used to it, although she would never admit that. "Why, thank you Mr Lame," she shot back, and grabbed a very generous handful of jelly slugs from the bag, which really wasn't all that big.

Turning away, Dee walked over to the blanket next to the table, near to the one Adonis had wandered off too, before she spotted Professor Kibitzer's fortune telling station.
She froze for a moment, torn. It was tempting - she'd only ever had her fortune read by a Muggle fortune teller, in the full knowledge that it was a complete scam, and she wanted to jump at the chance. But that would mean she'd have to talk to Professor Kibitzer, and after her disastrous run at the Relay Race, she'd sworn to herself to avoid the Professor forever. And while she usually wasn't one to stick to such resolutions for overly long periods of time, or even remember them, it hadn't been that long ago.
Maybe... Maybe later. With a slightly unhappy pout, she sat down on the blanket and popped a strawberry into her mouth. Maybe she'd drag Ileen over there later, so the Professor's attention would be split between them. That might be a satisfying compromise.

Eyre figured that he'd spend the night at Grove Park alone. He was utterly exhausted from the three days before, and now that he wasn't miserably sunburnt he felt like he deserved some time to relax under the stars while writing a letter to Ana. He knew that she was the letter-writing sort, and he figured that he was in no way a special exception to her hobby, but she was his special exception. He worried about her at her home in London, where she was being kept during the summer practically under lock and key by her strict Pureblood parents. She was his friend, one of his only pureblood friends that he could relate to, and he liked her. A lot. Yes, he had a crush on her, he'd accepted that now, but he was her friend first and foremost. And friends don't let their friends rot away at Beckettazkaban home alone.

Once he received the star chart and list, he curled up on a red blanket near Zyk and a few others who seemed to be having fun. Maybe I'll come over and trade some sweets with them, he thought to himself, his nose furrowing as he watched them snack on their jelly slugs. It looks like they like those more than I do. Once he had caught Zyk's eye he had waved at him with a grin before turning back to his parchment.

Eyre penned the letter in as neatly as he could, being that his only source of light were the red orbs that were glowing overhead, and reveled in the silence and the cool air. Although he felt horrible for Ana, he was grateful to be able to spend half of his summer at camp. He, himself, didn't have a lot of luck going for him when he went home. Once he did, he was going to tell his parents that he wasn't going to play their games anymore and he was probably going to be grounded, too. Until then, he was going to revel in his freedom while he could.

When he was about to finish up the end of the note, a girl approached him with a concerned expression that he could only barely make out in the soft red light. He slid his letter carefully into an envelope and put it in his sweatshirt pocket for safe keeping. He was going to have to finish it later.

"Hi..." He said politely, staring up at her with a shy smile. "I'm sorry, did I steal your spot?"

Stargazing? Good. Lindsey wandered in the Grove Park with the professors and other students.
A stargazing event was one she had never experienced. The young Springhall had been to plenty of different places every year, but never a place that you could watch the stars easily. France? Nope. China? Not either. Norway might be a good place, but sadly she had never been there.
Lindsey’s large eyes wandered carelessly around the crowd, if it could be named a crowd. She had never talked to any of the professors at Hogwarts, and she didn’t dare now too. They all seemed busy, at least the young badger thought so.
She then took a look around the students. She knew nobody except Elspeth, but Elspeth seemed in her own business too. She’d better not disturb her.
Lindsey often regarded herself as a very professional friend maker, but sadly, she soon realized that she had few friends——is Lizzie’s here? She thought. That Gryffindor was probably her closest friend till now. Other badgers she knew like Alina, Alexa and Clifton all seemed away and back home.
The girl sighed. It’s good to have someone talking when watching the beautiful starts.
Anyway, she’d got to find someone——maybe someone as “lonely” as herself.
Lindsey soon spotted a boy that she had never seen before. Maybe he’s a eagle or a lion? Thought the girl. He’s writing on a parchment. It’s very possible that he’s keeping a journal or a diary——but one would only do that when they felt lonely right?
Without thinking much, she approached the boy. Perhaps she had a concern or uneasiness on her expressions because the boy turned round.
“I'm sorry, did I steal your spot?” he asked politely.
Lindsey was actually a bit shocked.
“Ah…no…you didn’t…” she answered awkwardly.
You’ve got to be easy. She said to herself.
“Are you…experienced in stargazing?” Lindsey spoke again nervously.
She’s a Hufflepuff, anyway.

So, stargazing.
Lilith could say she had done it many times before. Every night before she got her letter she saw the stars and the moon when she looked up at the sky. She had stared at them for hours. Her young self had considered that “stargazing”.
Now, however, she knew that was just looking at the stars. Stargazing, as she had now discovered, involved a large area, blankets, tables, star charts, food, and definitely more people then she expected. It was really stargazing—they would be gazing at the sky for a long time indeed.
She looked at the star chart in her hand. It had occurred to her that after all this time, even though she loved the stars very much, she hadn’t even bothered to learn their names. In fact, before she came to Hogwarts, she didn’t even know they were supposed to have names. But even more surprising for her were the two stations, the fortune-telling one, and the story-telling one. Or whatever they’re telling. Either way, it was new to her, well....as was anything else, in fact.
But that didn’t matter now. She’s here. They had reached the place. She selected a place on the side where she thought she had the best view, —because almost all the stars can be seen if you lay down there, and waited for something to happen.

Who says what is true..? Not everyone will listen...but I will...

Stepping of the train, Lizzie pulled her hair up into a high ponytail. She looked around grabbing the star chart off of the prefect that was handing them out. The area was beautiful. It was defiantly going to be a magical night just like she had told Ariana at the Welcome BBQ just before they had decided to wander off towards a very handsome Dumstrang student and got completely distracted from the rest of the world.

It had been quite an uneventful day other than Lizzie stressing over if she would wake up early enough in the morning o be able to go to the Capture the Base game. Obviously, people had tried to help her calm down but with no success the girl continued to ramble on about how she was not cut out for an active game or that she was to unorganized to make it up by eleven o'clock.

She folded up the star chart and placed it into her small bag that had been perched on top of her shoulder. Lizzie had a weird sense of 'style' and 'fashion'. She liked to think that everyone was unique with their own clothes but often found herself wondering what certain people would look like with a different outfit. Especially people who were the completely opposite of her.

Lizzie walked towards the closest blanket and plopped herself on the group. She had not seen any of her tent mates on the train. At least one person from her tent must have come other then herself. She just wasn't very observant. The blonde also hadn't seen Zyk making her think that he had bailed and would just not show up.

She placed her bag on the blanket and leaned back to face the sky. She sighed and placed her hands on her stomach. It would be very unfortunate if no one even went up to her to say hello. Lizzie would defiantly look like a loner and she did not want that at all! It would destroy her reputation as a quite popular person [if you count knowing popular people being popular].

The blonde knew a lot about stargazing. A lot could be defined as she new everything or it was something she just said to make herself feel better. It was mostly likely the latter but it would not stop her from spouting out information everywhere she went. It was another one of Lizzie's 'passions'. People that knew the ravenclaw well would call it an obsession but defiantly not herself. She had pride that she wanted to keep.

She closed her eyes slightly mumbling to herself, "I really do hope this wasn't a waste of my time." Lizzie could have been back at the tent writing up her next song but she had decided to make plans with someone and took the time out of her day [which wasn't really her time since it was a planned event that she been wanting to go to since the timetables had been handed out] to go and meet up with him, "I'm sure it won't be."

“Ah…no…you didn’t…” she answered awkwardly, which calmed his nerves. “Are you…experienced in stargazing?” She asked.

Eyre shook his head with a nervous laugh. "I'm afraid not. I'm not sure that I've ever done it before, outside of Astrology class." He explained, taking a sharp inhale through his nostrils to keep himself calm. To think that just a few months ago, interacting with strangers had scared him a lot more they did now. In fact, he actually quite liked making new friends. It made him feel more disconnected from his tight-knit Pureblood roots.

"You can sit here, if you want." He said, scooting over to make her comfortable. "I-I actually have the list of stars right here, if you want to look at them. You don't have to stay though, if you don't want to." There it was. His old tendency to hopelessly ramble whenever his nerves took hold of him was always going to be a crutch of his. He quickly diverted his anxiousness into talking about the chart, which he thought was an excellent coping mechanism.

"In fact... I think that I see Delphinus up ahead." He commented, pointing upwards to the sky. "See? It's the one that looks like a closed big dipper." Eyre was impressed by his own ability to recognize the constellations in the sky. Even though he had taken Astrology, he was quite bored by it, but it was satisfying to see it in motion. Almost breathtaking.

"...I'm Eyre, by the way. I'm a Gryffindor. What about you?" He asked her.

When Tallis heard that they were going to be stargazing, she was somewhat excited. Somewhat, because she knew that there would be other people around and she really wasn't into social events but as long as she could find a nice corner to sit in, by herself, with her sketchbook, she would be perfectly fine. When she arrived at the area designated for the stargazing she noticed a few others students had already arrived. She quickly went to one of the few picnic blankets that didn't have anyone sitting down on it yet or had claimed it, as far as she was aware. She sat her sketchbook next to her, and looked around.
She recognized a few people but didn't want to bother them so she stayed where she was. She looked up at the sky. It was a nice night for star gazing, it was cool but not cold and the sky was relatively clear. She stretched her arms out and put her sketchbook in her lap. She decided to draw something while she waited for it to get a bit darker. She grabbed a pencil and got to work. She decided to sketch the moon, over a forest. Her hair covered her face as she looked down and concentrated on her sketch.
