Quickly finished up his sun-catcher, Chad grinned with pride at the craft he'd managed to make. While he was pretty fantastic when it came to anything musical, arts and crafts were never his strong suit. But this... this was cute! He liked it. He liked it a lot, actually, and he figured that he'd want to put it up in a place where there was actual sunlight... so not his dorm room, then, they rarely got to see sunlight when they woke up. But... Well, the Headliner office had some windows! Maybe he'd hang it up there the next time he stopped by... decorate the room, a little bit. Hey, if he was gonna sit and spill some tea in there for hours at a time with his fellow staff, he might as well make the room look a bit nicer.
"I wouldn't want to disappoint, considering you, personally, were invited."
Speaking of the Headliner, Chad grinned at @Pericles Dralt without a trace of malice in his expression. "I love you too, Dralt!" he exclaimed, blowing a kiss in the prefect's general direction with a wink.

His attention was drawn by the shrimp of a first year who'd come to help him with his ridiculous suncatcher, who was now beckoning to him from a table further back. With a shrug, he trailed after @May Moonstar, tucking the suncatcher into his basket of flags he'd yet to put up throughout the school. She seemed pretty harmless, so if she tried to stab him with a pair of scissors back here, he figured he could take her, easy peasy. However, her intents seemed to be entirely benevolent, and Chad grinned openly at his fellow Hufflepuff.
"Well Chad, I hope that you remember our deal. Now, do you know how to make these lanterns?"
"Do I-" Chad glanced at the paper on the table in confusion, wondering why on earth she'd need help with all of this, and shrugged. "I mean, no, but I guess they look pretty simple." Picking up another pair of scissors, he watched as May quickly cut out another lantern, observing her movements carefully. He could feel his mind starting to wander, but he forced himself to stay focused on the task at hand. After all, he had pinky-promised May that he'd help her, so he had to do a passable job of it. Slowly, Chad cut out his own lantern, although it didn't look nearly as good as May's.
"I think I've met you somewhere. Well, maybe not met, but seen. You are- strangely familiar. But maybe it's my cousin...he has a American accent too."
"Oh, have you now?" Chad said with an amused smile. She was a funny one, this kid; he supposed she was pretty alright. "Well, we've probably crossed paths in the common room at some point, I guess. There are only so many Hufflepuffs at Hogwarts. And that's cool, about your cousin."
"You know, my sister went to Ilvermorny. She works at St. Mungo's now."
Chuckling slightly, Chad shook his head. "I was supposed to go to Ilvermorny," he admitted with a shrug. "I begged my mom to go, actually, but I guess Hogwarts already had my name down on the list. No avoiding the admission letter, yeah?" He bit his tongue as he was about to say something snarky about how she still hadn't even introduced herself to him, but he was a King. He was royalty. Royals didn't snark at their subjects- they were kind, and gracious, and beloved. So Chad held his tongue and simply smiled at the girl- he'd get her name later, from someone else who knew her.
"Now, we will need to stick candles. But since it's broad daylight, we won't lit them up. Just stick them to the lanterns. Do you know a sticking charm?"
"Well-" Chad said helplessly, glancing around in desperation. "I mean yes, but I'm not very good at it... I think if I try to use it, everything'll just explode. Here, I have some tape that we can use, though!" Reaching into his basket, he quickly taped the candles to the lanterns, and glanced at them proudly. "Awesome! These... wow, these look pretty great!"

Standing up, Chad bowed elaborately to the girl. "Well, it was nice to meet you... but I've got some other places to be. So if you'll excuse me..." Taking the girls hand, Chad kissed the back of it, before letting go. "I'll be off. See ya, and thank you!"
exiting to the Courtyard.

coming in from huffle common room [x]
The third stop on Thea’s lovely journey around the castle was a couple floors higher and it took place in the library. She’d come around this part often, sometimes to draw, and sometimes to read, so she was actually quite excited what decorating this part would mean. Her excitement died down when she realized she wasn’t able to continue on with the small landscapes she was doing around the previous locations. But the witch’s face lit up again when she saw what they were making. Sun catchers!

Her dad would sometimes make these and hang them up in his office. They never lasted long. As soon as Thea got tall enough, she’d began taking them in secret just so she could watch her dad make another one. It was fun. She sat down at the table and quickly got to making one herself. She chose random shapes and sizes of the beads, some clear, some colorful. After Thea was done, she didn’t really know what to do. It was pretty quick making the first one and she really liked the process. She decided to make another one, with a similar rainbow pattern. It was actually pretty relaxing, despite the wire running into her skin constantly.

For both of the suncatchers, he made sure to instead of doing her usual signature to take two beads in her house colors and put them at the beginning and end of the strings before putting the actual hanging wire. Proud with herself, the Hufflepuff took the first one she made and left the other one on the table.
