Match #5 The Lion vs. The Eagle Ivy v. Cecily

High off the success of the previous round, perhaps Cecily had gotten a little cocky. Perhaps she had thrown her Gobstone a little too hard, or a little too recklessly. Whatever the reason, though, this round had gone just about as well as the first round-- meaning, both she and Ivy royally screwed up. Hey, maybe they were both having an off-day, or maybe they just both really sucked at this game. Either way, the thing that really mattered was that they were still tied. The Ravenclaw had had her chance to pull away, and she blew it. Now, she had to make up lost ground, while still living in fear of Ivy pulling away.

Cecily huffed, her competitive spirit rearing up inside of her. It was time to make this interesting. With a wicked smile, she looked directly at her opponent. She was just a first year, Cecily could take her. Raising her voice, Cecily took a page out of Ami's book and threw a bit of jesting slander Ivy's way. "You're going down, Bellamy!" She smiled at the girl, making sure the Gryffindor knew she was only joking, before leaning forward to scope out her next throw. God, she sounded just like Ami. Just as much bite, just as little game. Cecily smiled to herself, thinking of the butterbeers Ami still owed her and, presumably, Adam. The Ravenclaw knew that her two friends had played against each other earlier in the day, but she hadn't heard the outcome. If Cecily's game with Ami proved anything, though, Adam had probably come out on top, and Ami down another butterbeer and at least a few Galleons.

Cecily hefted a Gobstone, eyeing one of Ivy's loitering inside the circle. Didn't it know loitering was frowned upon? Taking aim, Cecily drew back her arm, and let the stone fly towards Ivy's, praying she could make up for the past few rounds and not make a fool of herself in the process.
