Listening To Our Favourite Song PV Scarlett

Sorry for such a late reply, @Scarlett Aden!
So. Turned out that Ebony's theory that people liked to talk about themselves was not quite true - in this first year's case anyway.
Lucia's face grew a rather interested look as she heard the word 'prankster' - though neither she nor her mother and oldest sister did pranks (Lucia sometimes thought it might be fun to try, though), the youngest Fox daughter, Willow, enjoyed them on occasion, and especially loved using her 'innocent little girl' look to get out of trouble. It was impossible to stay angry at Willow Fox for more than a minute and a half - for Lucia anyway. Ebony's record was around five minutes, if Lucia remembered correctly.
"Classes, right." Lucia said, bringing herself back into the conversation. "Oh, they're ok. I think I like astronomy and potions best, you?"
Lucia didn't mention the fact that because she didn't like several subjects and was neutral about most others her grades were extremely mixed - the girl did well on subjects she liked and was interested in, but give her something like the intense concentration required in transfiguration and she would give up and begin doodling hearts on her parchment. No, Lucia Fox was definitely not the perfect student, and her sister had several times told her how she could do well if she really wanted to. She didn't want to.

Lol no problem @Lucia Fox ;D

Lucia grew a little far off look as Scarlett spoke but seemed to be jolted back slightly when the word 'prankster' was said, which was strange. Scarlett looked around slightly - like out of the corner of her eye - and saw that the ballroom wasn't exactly 'dressed up' to no surprise. She wondered when was the last time anyone had hosted some sort of party or event here - obviously Scarlett had heard about the legendary Yule Ball. Wouldn't it be fun if Hogwarts hosted another dance? Or a ball? Wait no, they meant the same thing.

Still, it was strange that quite a lot of things revolved around ridiculously formal dances and dressing up, but parties were parties and they were fun. As a wise person once said: "A party without cake is just a meeting."

Scarlett thought this all rather quickly, around ten seconds long, because she was one of those types that liked to talk fast, think fast and live life quickly to move onto another activity. One day she would probably need to learn to take things slowly, but for now that wasn't the case.

The two brought themselves back into the conversation at around the same time, which was lucky. Lucia told her she liked Astronomy and Potions best, which didn't surprise Scarlett, but surprised Scarlett at the same time. Obviously it was because she didn't know Lucia too well yet and this was more of an ice-breaker conversation (it seemed very much like a cliche ice-breaker) but Scarlett really hoped to make some new friends. Most of her friends were from Gryffindor and it was refreshing to have someone new to talk to, with perhaps a different past and perspective on life, if you could call it that.

Lucia asked Scarlett what subjects she liked and (maybe?) how the classes were going, like Scarlett just asked her.

She replied, "Same - I'm going alright. I love Charms and Flying. Do you know what electives you're taking? I mean which ones you want to take?"

Congratulations to Dream Everglade for finally getting off her procrastinating butt and writing a reply-
xDDD
Lucia frowned.
"Electives?" she asked, with a disbelieving look on her face. "Electives are years away!"
How was Scarlett thinking about them already?
"Merlin, we're not even in second year yet!"
This girl must be a forward-thinker - Lucia's sister Briar was the same, actually. Lucia had no doubt that, within the first few weeks of entering Hogwarts, her sister would have her entire school career planned out - and likely the years afterwards as well.
What electives did she, Lucia Fox, want to do? It'd have to be something she'd enjoy, Lucia decided, because otherwise she'd probably just spend the whole time humming or doodling or something.
Divination sounded pretty interesting, but then again it might be a bit unnerving to try see into the future.
As far as she knew, Lucia had never met a seer, but she knew she wasn't one of them. It was unlikely she would do well in a divination class.
Care of Magical Creatures was more Willow's thing than her oldest sister's, but maybe...
Oh, what does it matter anyway?
Lucia shook her head as if to clear it of cobwebs or some such thing, and brought her attention back into the ballroom.
Suddenly, the awkwardness of the situation caught up with her - late as usual like my replies- and Lucia subconsciously fidgited with her robes.

"Oh it's only two years," said Scarlett with a teasing smile on her face. "And does it not hurt to think ahead?"

This was pretty much the opposite of Scarlett Aden and her whole 'let's roll with what life brings us' mantra. What could she say though? It was fun breaking the stereotypes once in a while. Because, yes, Scarlett knew she was basically a living cliche. Sadly, this made people almost always think Scarlett was not intelligent and was just reckless and rash every single time. Ah well. They couldn't see her mental gears ticking and formulating a devious plan? So be it. She would enjoy surprising them.

"I would probably take Muggle Studies," continued Scarlett, the thoughtful tone in her voice not matching the amused glint in her eyes. "I know a lot about Muggles so easy pass."

She wondered if any Muggleborn had ever taken Muggle Studies before. They were her type of people, the devious tricksters. Wait - she had just remembered. Hermione Granger, now famous across the Wizarding World, had taken Muggle Studies for fun?

Scarlett didn't notice Lucia fidgeting (also a habit of Scarlett) and possibly looking quite awkward because at that moment, a piercing shriek rang out.

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU ADEN!" roared a voice.

Oh yes. She vaguely remembered putting hair dye in someone's shampoo. By the sound of it, it was a pretty ticked-off older student. What colour had the dye been again?

"Aaaand that's my cue to leave." smirked Scarlett. "I'll see you around Lucia."

Scarlett turned on her heel and swiftly ran out of the ballroom, thudding footsteps racing fast just a few moments later.

I don't get caught, thought a self-satisfied Scarlett. In fact, she did. She finished the day with a lovely black eye.

Lucia jumped as a shout reached her ears, wincing as she heard Scarlett's last name mentioned.
The girl in question smirked, and sprinted out of the ballroom with a quick farewell.
"Um... Bye?" Lucia called limply after her, and made to leave as well, only-
"Hey, you! Firstie!"
Lucia turned quickly to see a student who was at least twice her size, and had to fight not to cower in fear of The Senior. That was, until she realised that they sported bright green hair, and the fear left her as quickly as it had come. The 'firstie' smirked.
"Uh... Me?" she asked pointlessly - after all, with Scarlett's departure, she was the only person in the corridor.
"Yes, you," the student growled, obviously not missing Lucia's amusement at their vibrant hair colour. "You seen Aden? Scarlett Aden?"
"Yes..." Lucia said unwillingly, then before they punched her in the face - it certainly looked like they wanted to punch somebody - she pointed down a random corridor. "She went... That way."
"Thanks, kid," the older student grunted, then sped off down the corridor. "COME BACK HERE!"
Lucia ducked into a nearby classroom before the student realised they'd gone the wrong way.
