𝓐madea did her best not to gawk as Ana rattled off the places she had traveled to during the past year. From the tone of her voice, Amadea could tell that there was something that Ana wasn't saying, a reason why she hadn't been so excited about traveling, but Amadea wasn't going to pry. She barely knew the girl and grilling her about her deep-rooted feelings didn't seem like a friendly introduction. Plus, Amadea was still shocked by the amount of places she had been to.

Amadea hadn't grown up in a poor family; she was always blessed with the fact that she didn't have to worry about when her next meal would be or not having electricity. However, her family certainly wasn't rich. They made ends meet, but other than that, extra money always went to Amadea's Aunt Emma, who needed the money for her and her son Jake who now shared a house with the Campbells in Camberley. Traveling was sparse for the Campbell family as they were fairly content with where they were, always finding new adventures to partake in without having to pack up and travel very far. That being said, Amadea had always loved the idea of traveling. She had been to Ireland after her first year to visit one of her good friends Cecily Quinn and she had visited her Aunt Stella once in New York City, but other than that, Amadea hadn't been anywhere. "Wow that sounds amazing," she finally said at last, imagining all of the amazing sights that Ana had gotten to see during her journey. "Which one was your favorite?" Out of the list, it seemed like it would be impossible to choose, but Amadea was interested to hear more about the places that Ana had visited.

Amadea laughed as Ana expressed her strong dislike of Astronomy class. While Amadea herself didn't love the subject, she also didn't find it as repulsive as some of her other classes. Plus, she had some great memories involving the Astronomy Tower; it was where she had met two of her best friends. "I get that," Amadea said as Ana explained how difficult Astronomy was for her. "I feel the same way...just about Transfiguration instead. But I don't think I dislike Transfiguration more than History of Magic. As much as history is important to learn about, sometimes the lessons just drag on and on," Amadea said. "I would much rather be practicing spells than learning about goblin revolts."

"On a happier note, though," she said with a laugh, "Favorite classes! I love Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I also started taking Muggle Studies this year as an elective and I really enjoy that class." Even though it might seem redundant to take Muggle Studies as a Muggle-born, Amadea found that she was learning a lot in the class. It was also helpful for when she went back home; she could talk with Kat about the things that she learned in the class because they were similar to what Kat was learning herself. "What about you?" Amadea asked.

Ana was slightly amused by the other girl's shock as she rattled off countries. Amadea tried to hide it, but Ana saw a slight glimpse. Even the insanely privileged Ana knew that it wasn't normal to go to that many countries in a lifetime, much less the space of 9 months. She did enjoy traveling, just not the way her parents did it. The parties and fancy manors and hotels they stayed at were all pretty much the same, and Ana really failed to see the point for traveling the world to do that. She half wanted to take a gap year after graduating Hogwarts to backpack across the world with little more than her broom and her wand. Obviously, she would have a bit of money so she wouldn't be relinquished to anything extreme, but the idea of freedom and adventure sounded so amazing.

"Paris is always special to me, but I think this time around, my favorite place was Russia. We were there just before Christmas, and it was amazing," Ana told the older girl. Granted that was partially due to the fact that the most handsome boy she had encountered in her travels was Russian, but still. She and Alexei had known one another before she had gone to Russia, but they had bonded a great deal more in the weeks she was there and almost kissed.

Ana nodded emphatically at Amadea's talk of History of Magic. It just dragged on for years, it seemed to her. Granted, if she found something boring, she didn't have the best attention span or patience for it. She perked up at the sound of Muggle Studies. Even though her parents said it was a throw away subject and that she was only allowed to take it if her other grades were all perfect, she was looking forward to it. Her time at Hogwarts had taught her that she was woefully ignorant of muggles and their culture and she didn't like that feeling. She liked knowing everything and if that wasn't the case, she would do everything in her power to change that. "Oh, I can't wait for electives next year," Ana told Amadea. She was going to see if she could take all of them, since her parents desperately wanted her to take divination and runes, and she was interested in muggle studies and care of magical creatures. "Muggle studies sounds absolutely fascinating to me. As for favorite classes, I would have to say either Flying or Transfiguration. I like most of them though.

𝓐madea tried not to look too envious as she listened to Ana rattle on about her favorite places to travel. Paris sounded like such a beautiful place to go; perhaps it was because of the movies but Amadea had always had this beautiful view of Paris and she loved the French accent that accompanied it. Paris just seemed like such a cool place; everyone always seemed to have such good fashion sense and of course, there was the Eiffel Tower. One day Amadea would travel there. Russia was a place Amadea didn't know much about, except that it was absolutely ginormous. She made a mental note to look more into Russia and Russian travel destinations that seemed cool; Amadea didn't really know much about the country but she figured there were beautiful sights to see just like in any other country.

"Wow that sounds absolutely amazing," she said. "I honestly don't really know anything about Russia but now I want to go there too!" She laughed. Her bucket list was already so long, and she kept adding more destinations to it.

Amadea smiled as Ana raved about electives. Amadea knew the feeling; she was so excited to finally be able to take some extra classes, like Muggle Studies and Care of Magical Creatures. As much as she loved taking all of her classes, though, she also knew that it was a lot more work and adding so many extra elective classes spread her even thinner than she already was spread. As much as she loved being busy, she knew that this was probably not the best for her. Yet, she was still doing it. "Yes, I really love Muggle Studies," Amadea said. "The professor is really nice too. Ooh we are kind of opposites with our favorites...Transfiguration is one of my hardest classes," Amadea said. "Well it's not like I don't like Transfiguration, it just takes me a long time to grasp the concepts so it's a bit frustrating sometimes," she explained. "And flying...I absolutely hate flying. I guess you could say I have a phobia of it? But I do not like that class at all." Flying was definitely not for Amadea...she much preferred dueling.

Amadea's enthusiasm at Ana's travels made the Gryffindor beam. She rather took the globe-trotting for granted, and it was something that was more normal than not in the pureblood society she had been raised in, so it was refreshing to be around someone who could recognize how remarkable it was. Ana had loved the bits of her excursions that were actually traveling and not just attending the millionth gala, ball, or dance.

She nodded as Amadea offered her thoughts on Transfiguration. It was definitely the most difficult to grasp conceptually, and it took Ana a bit more effort than some other subjects. However, it was also the most satisfying when it finally clicked for her, rather like finishing a puzzle. Ana's eyebrows shot up when the Hufflepuff said she hated flying. How could someone hate flying? Granted, Ana had been flying for as long as she'd been walking and it was as natural as breathing. The idea of someone not loving it, much less hating it or fearing it, was absolutely shocking and foreign to Ana. Maybe Amadea was afraid of falling, but Ana had fallen more times than she could count, and she was mostly fine. Not to mention, being apprehensive of flying meant that, by extension, Amadea didn't like or at the very least couldn't participate in Quidditch aka Ana's reason for living. "I suppose Flying is one of those ones that you either hate or you love," Ana offered. It didn't seem to her that there were any classes as polarizing as Flying. "I can't imagine not playing Quidditch though."

While Ana had missed nearly the entire Quidditch season that year, she was set on making the Gryffindor team next year, and she could barely comprehend others not wanting the same. Granted, some people were partial to dueling, but Ana couldn't imagine liking dueling more than Quidditch. Dueling was enjoyable to be sure, but nothing could match the adrenaline rush of Quidditch. "Do you prefer dueling then?" Ana inquired.

𝓐madea smiled as she thought about traveling; it was something that she hoped she would get to do a lot more in the future and she was happy that Ana was able to experience that all at such a young age. Amadea would definitely remember to ask Ana about traveling tips whenever she was able to travel.

"That's true," Amadea said. She didn't think she had met anyone that didn't have a strong feeling about flying; either people loved it or hated it so much. And Amadea was one of the people who hated it very much. Hate was a strong word for sure and one that Amadea tried not to use very often, but she would be willing to use the word for flying. The anxiety she felt whenever she was seated on a broom was something she hated to experience every single time. Even if she had grown up in the wizarding world knowing about Quidditch, Amadea had a feeling that she wouldn't have been a huge fan of flying or Quidditch.

"Has Gryffindor been doing well?" she asked. Amadea hadn't really been keeping up with the Quidditch teams very much; she knew that Hufflepuff was doing well but she didn't really know anything besides that. "And yes, I love duelling! The duelling team is what I prefer," She smiled as she thought about it; the duelling team was one of her favorite things and she loved talking about it.

Amadea seemed to like the idea of traveling more than Ana did. Perhaps it was just the fact that Ana didn't fancy spending such concentrated time around her parents and away from her friends, but she had enjoyed it less than she ought to have. There was also the possibility she was just a spoiled brat that took everything for granted, but that didn't occur to her.

Flying was Ana's favorite thing in the world. As much as she loved ballet, and she did, it didn't even come close to the way flying felt. Even if she hadn't loved flying so much, she would have forced herself to for Quidditch. Quidditch was Ana's sole purpose in life. She was determined to play professionally and would be perfectly happy if she never did anything else. Her parents deeply disagreed with every aspect of that, especially the part where she had life ambitions beyond marrying some prattish pureblood boy and carrying on the Beckett legacy, but she would deal with that later.

"Not as well as they might like," Ana said. Truth be told, she had missed the majority of the season and had to base her conclusions on friends' accounts. It was frustrating, and yet another reason she resented being dragged all about the planet. Even if she hadn't been able to make the team her second year, she would have at least liked to be able to watch. "Duelling is quite interesting as a spectator. I've obviously never done it myself, but it looks like a great deal of fun."

Ana's eyes flitted around the room and caught a glance of the clock. It had been far more time than she realized. "Oh, my, is that the time? I'd better be on my way, but was lovely meeting you, Amadea," Ana said, standing quickly and gathering her belongings. With a quick smile to Amadea, Ana whisked out of the classroom and onto whatever else she was doing that day.
